Just ordered the kit. You made it look easy and it works. I need a toolbox now.
Hi Matt, awesome video, U Da Man! Same setup I did 2 months ago with my 2.0 st. I actually kept the shipping box and placed it in the bag to hold the battery. Works great, yes 38 plus miles range. Thanks!
The balancer fits nicely in the lock holder on the high step...mine is external in there with xtra factory battery in the lectric large basket. Am going to do another 3rd battery since the basket with hold two nicely. Just got to get another battery and another balancer kit and attachment from ElectricAllWheel.
Thanks for the great video. Please let us know when both parts are in stock so that we can buy them from you. Thanks!
Just wondering what size bag is that I purchased the other one you suggested and it’s been great but that looks like a much better bag. Thanks for all that you do your dual balance discharger has really made a change and how I can use my bike

Hi there! My son has the Lectric XP 1.0. It is the higher step modle we got new in 2020. I just purchased a new extended range battery from Lextric to replace the regular battery it came with when purchased. I currently have the "old" battery just sitting in a box and was wondering if I could use somthing from you to wire it together with the new extended battery to give him extra range? If, so can you point me in the direction of EVERYTHING I would need to make that happen? The original battery is 10.4AH and the new extended battery is 14AH. Is that ok as well? Thank you!
You can use the kit and factory battery adapter linked in this video for that bike.
Email electricallwheel@gmail.com if you have trouble
I have the XP 3.0 with Extended Range (14ah) and want to add as an external 10ah battery. Which kit would I buy. And in regard to the question, what is the difference between the 20/40 ah KIT. Could I buy a 20ah kit with 2 x 14ah batteries, or do I go higher value. If I get a 40ah kit, would my total Ah NOT exceed 40? Thanks
You would buy the exact same kit used in the video, 20A universal, factory external adapter
You do not need a 40A balancer for the 3.0
Issue: I installed the balancer kit () on my XP 2.0 and it was a breeze, however, turning the key off and/or removing it, does not prevent me from still turning the display on and riding the bike. I don't think it should do this. Why does the balancer kit allow the secondary battery to power the bike when the key is off and/or out of the bike?
This is because the key is not directly related to the bike, but rather the battery itself. When you take your battery out of the bike, the key switch is part of the battery, not the bike.
@@ElectricAllWheel Thanks. Hadn't thought of that. Does there happen to be a cutoff switch for the secondary battery so I don't have to disconnect in order to use up the lectric battery first and when that dies, switch to the secondary one.
@lauriewhittle3452 principally you don’t want to. The most effective use is to run both batteries so you can maximize your voltage output and maintain the same voltage curve.
They will be viewed as one battery
I would really like to try and do this to my lecture 2.0 step through what parts do I actually need to buy so I can try and do this I’m going to use your video I just don’t know what I am doing or what to buy first time e bike owner
So watch the video, doofus.
Would I want to do the 40amp balancer kit for 2 of the 15amp long range batteries?
No. 20A for XP folding bikes. The spec is related to the controller not the batteries
@@ElectricAllWheel Awesome thanks! One other question in the high step 3.0 do you think the battery and bag would fit in the spot where for the lock behind the seat?
The space is much narrower and won’t fit the same as it does with the step through
Can I put a 20ah battery instead of another 10ah so I can have 30ah total or would that mess with the bike
That will be just fine. The important part is to match voltage
how are you protecting the battery key when the battery is in the BiKase bag? seems like the key is prone to snapping
We had the same thought, but because of the battery structure you would have to frame around it or be conscious of its existence
How much is the kit ?

Will a single factory charger charge both batteries at the same time, or do you have to charge each battery individually?
The batteries need to be charged separately
@@ElectricAllWheelcan both batteries still be connected but turned off while charging w separate chargers?
@@dominicschaeffer909 it can be done that way
