So my transmission is a 48re that was built by jasper. Truck flipped over and broke the overdrive housing. You said 40 thou between the wire n top steel. Jasper left out the wavey snap ring n put 6 clutches in. The only way I can get 40 thou is to put 7 clutches in. Is that gonna be ok? Or should I just send the 6 with extra clearance?
I'm currently building a 48rh. All the 48 internals into a 47rh case. Here's the question. Can I use the 47rh park pawl lever on the overdrive housing? The thickness of the teeth on the 48re overdrive are thicker. Thanks again for these videos!
@@LoganbuiltRaceShop Thanks Logan! You the man! The next trans I do will be with one of your kits. I already had a kit before you posted this awesome series.
excellent video!
Assuming taking out a clutch and steel from the direct will loosen up the clearance?

@@witcher71 I appreciate that!
do you mean your building a 48rh or a 47rh
@@mohamedabada7101 Yes. 48RH. 48re internals that make the 48 what it is in a 47rh case. Still being hydraulic shifted.
How did you measure for intermediate selective spacer clearance? I didn't caught it in any of the videos.
Do you have to run a spacer on the overdrive piston?
Yes
So alllll those silly bars and shafts for measuring is useless..
