That brings back old memories of a '80 352 that I put a lot of miles on. I had a 350 Cummins in mine and it always did the job but would have loved to have had a yella motor. I wore out a 10 speed in mine - had to drive from Chicago to Austin, TX with a bungee cord holding the stick in the big hole, camped out at the top of Vail Pass for 4 days until the ice cleared enough to come down, hauled a load of grapes from Bakersfield to Beantown in 68 hours total time, ran the Montana outback in January though Denver was colder at 18 below but also was in Gila Bend at 117º, and made three back to back round trips between Orlando and LA in that truck, as well as many, many less memorable drives. It served me well but the industry made me bankrupt. If you get that AC fixed correctly it can make that cabin feel like a meat locker. Drive it right: both hands on the wheel and both feet flat on the floor. ☺

Well a Kenworth is good too. Like you my old man had a transport company back in the day and the fleet were all K and W series so I like you got one too. being in Auz Peterbilt did not supply Australia like Kenworth , all fully imported hence big bucks, always wished we had one in the fleet but was never to be. Now I am a little envious, live in the UK now , so neither accessible. Just have to keep watching your vlogs to get my fix.

I drove several new 362’s from 87 to 96 pulling produce. The double bunk cab over 400 Cummins and 13 speed with air ride. We loved them. The three blade wipers I kinda always liked but never understood why…
Looks like a sweet project , 3 axle beavertail ,26 tonner GVW in the UK , If you get the chance can you show a close up of the gearshift pattern plac ,as trying to get my head around the shift pattern ! 15 speed ; not a box I have encountered ,the 9 and 13 fullers , 9 speed eatons 16/18 speed eatons but not 15's .

You can get the interior from a company out of Tennessee called The Day Cab Company there's a couple TH-camrs on here that got their stuff from him twin stick garage he's out of Canada and there's another one in enzire 379 I don't know if that's how he does it but the day cab company they do good work

The fuel tanks have been replaced as the 362 didn't come out until 1981. I know because I bought a new 362 in the fall of 1981.
