It's going to get to the point with these Committee Releases where the marketing says, "We forgot to distill anything... and we had to bottle it" and it's just going to be an empty bottle called NoooooBeg
Well done guys, My brother just got a bottle ( he didn't tell me where he got it, but he was in Oklahoma two weeks ago). Tried it with him, he tells me he got sweet smores with a touch of Orange - lemon, I got smoke jajajaja ( I'm so envious, cannot get past the peat smoke) seems to be a good one, at least My bro got to enjoy it!
Hope so , It's been 10 years and still can't get past peat, Bourbon yes , non peated yes, tequila yes, rum no problem, brandy and cognac piece of cake, mezcal and peated Scotch nope, just smoke .
100% agree that Ardbeg doesn’t need this recent marketing nonsense. I’m scared they’re jumping the shark. I find myself buying more Kilchoman and less Ardbeg of late, and this childish marketing of bottles that aren’t up to previous Ardbeg standards is a big part of the reason. Fermutation and Ardcore were serious letdowns, but I am an eternal optimist and hope this is better.
This particular expression didn’t blow me away. I am tending to stick to the core expressions and avoiding some of the grossly overpriced special releases. The high rise in costs and some changes in quality does concern me.
yah, the marketing around these committee releases actually turns me off of them lol... just give me some Uigeadail and Corryvreckan please. not to mention a few of these releases, like this one, are marketed around some mishap. like guys, you've been making whisky for 150yrs or something... i doubt you're all so bad at it that you keep having mishaps. just say you wanted to try some new ideas out and this is the result.
OK I take it back. The marketing team does it get drunk to come up with this stuff. I think they just get high and then consume mushrooms to come up with this marketing.
Agreed !! Ardbeg doesn’t need portals and outer space.
they do not!
Just make ardbeg 10 cask strength for $89. Done.
Boom
I'd buy it on the reg
Just so happens I got a bottle of this as a gift yesterday. Looking forward to trying it. And I think chocolate ganache may be what you had.
nice, thanks John

That motorcycle/chopper comment is from the movie Pulp Fiction. I can't remember the boxer's name but the actor's name is Bruce Willis.
Boom! extra credit!
Agreed yall. Up the peat and forget about the marketing.
definitely
Pulp Fiction! ❤

Ye Ole Grumpy Old Dummies Whiskey Reviews...😂❤....Nicely Aged Reviews
We have fun with those
When Ardcore came out, we got the non-committee release here in NC, but for some reason with Heavy Vapours, we got the committee release. 🤷
@Ardbeg: skip the marketing bullsh!t and just make us what you're great at: good peated whisky.
Slàinte mhath
Beside the great peated whisky, we like the nice artwork lables too.
of course!
I love Ardbeg, I hate the Ardbeg marketing
its getting a little crazy

good points clingman!
I just hear Bart thinking, while I am watching this, "Core range, core range, that's all I need, core range."
ardbeg 10, ardbeg 10, ardbeg 10
I love Corry, its 50$ more for a bottle than the one I have. It's my favorite.
Considering the quality of recent Ardbeg limited releases I believe that they really need the marketing 😅😅
could be...
Chocolate fondant?
sounds good...
Were you thinking of a soufflé?
i think that was it!
The prices keep going up, age is going down. sup with that Ardbeg? Fermutation was very good though
People keep buying. Easy bucks while they can get it.
@@javieracosta3439 they're Ardbastards
Hard to beat the 10. Just good whiskey.
absolutely
"We gonna find some hard pipe hitting **bleep****, with a blowtorch and a pair of pliers!"
boom!
Chocolate mousse? 🫎
close...
tiramisu?
Not enough coffee flavor for that.
Gotcha. Was a long shot attempt to help you out with the dessert you were trying to recall. 😊
that story on the back of the bottle, what kind of drugs are they smoking?
me thinks they got high on their own supply, purely because the vapors were so heavy.

still good whisky, just pricey!
Far out!
