I miss my leo. She lived to be about 16 by my estimation, I adopted her at around age 12 or so. Her previous owner had her since she was young and had unfortunately not had a light cycle for her - her light was on 24/7. Idk how basic of a care mistake like this could happen, but she was essentially blind when I got her. She had trouble eating and bumping into things. I immediately put her on a light cycle and she seemed to slowly regain her sight and was a voracious eater after just a few months. I hope I can get another leo soon !!

As much as I love my little corn snake, I will say a snake that isnt necessarily stressed but still very active will be the worst to hold. A cat can grab onto you and you can grab onto it, even bigger snakes you can even wrap your hand around, but a corn snake? If you grab him, he gets crushed, if you barely brush him, he yeet onto the floor. There is no calm, even if he is calm he will want to touch everything. Leopard geckos, no thoughts, head empty. Corn snake? many thoughts, must zoom

Yea, I love corn snakes due to how intelligent they are, more so than something like a milk snake or a hognose snake. My corn snake is only a year old, and she shows signs of intelligence, when ever I’m done feeding her, she always looks at me expecting me to feed her more, she’s never displayed defensive behavior, not even once, and when she bit me one time when I put my hand in the enclosure while two pinkie mice were in it, she immediately knew what she bit and let go.

After watching your vids and others I got a baby Leo last October - I didn't want to get a baby but we tried a few and he seemed to instantly bond with me. He's a lot bigger now and he's just the sweetest guy. You can pretty much pick him up whenever and he's grown pretty used to being pet now too. He's such a cute chill lil dude. My Dad really bonded with him too. I know small reptiles aren't supposed to have much social/emotional capacity but he really feels like a little buddy.

There's just something about watching them walk around and explore that it's is just so calming probably because of there simple little minds that r so unaware of what is really going on in the world they live in but enjoy there humble little lives.

I agree 100%. I have raised/kept/fostered parrots since 1985, and they take SUCH a lot of energy from a human, in terms of providing for ALL their needs: nutritional, behavioral, mental. I adore my leopard geckos because they almost thrive on 'neglect'! LOL. Not that I condone neglect, AT ALL - but what I'm saying is, they are cool with just having their space and being thrown food. If I did that with a parrot, it would pick its feathers out from boredom. :/ I love my little scaly guys that are always smiling and cute, and chubby, and happy even (sometimes especially) when I don't get to interact with them much. So ... yes. Great video.

I'm still a big scary monster to him, but I'm hoping he'll start warming up to me soon. I think he's an albino morph with a lovely swirling yellow and white pattern. It reminded me of a solar flare, so his name is Flare. So excited to see how his pattern develops!
