    Gecko Daddy has what it takes to be a top quality breeder- they have great bloodlines, great communication with there customers as in talking over the phone, emailing, and texting. The customer service alone makes me want to buy from them. Plus you add in years of perfecting the tango crush line that I love. Another plus for me is it is a family owned business with the kids! I am sold ill be picking a male and female out in the near future!🦎

    To be honest, i love the fact that they should an actual enclosure as basic setup for the gecko's.
    Although front-facing doors would be better, less heatloss. And preferable 3 hides, and some decorations. Give them enrichment, and a surrounding worth exploring ;)
    (and uvb, but that is a different discussion al together xD )

    • @njdjnickyg
      @njdjnickyg 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Well, it’s not preferable, it’s mandatory. They need both a warm hie a cool hide and a moist hide. And all of the geckos were glass surfing from severe stress it seems like from being with other geckos when they are strictly solitary with the exception to breed.

    *Let me start this off with saying this is not a advertisement rather a quick endorsement from my experience with Gecko Daddy.* I got the Tango Crush with a stripped/spotted tail as my 1st gecko. He is of course beautiful, arrived very healthy, eats like a champ and is very friendly/curious. A great gecko all around. My experience with Gecko Daddy was wonderful too. They were easy to work with, provided quick receipts/documentation, were very friendly and informative. A perfect experience from start to finish. I hope one day I can see them at a show so I can thank them and grab a few more geckos.

    I'm one of those reptile folks who morphs just do nothing for. I'll walk past every morph ball python in a room to ooohh and ahhhh at the ones that resemble the ball pythons you'd see in the wild. Something about leopard gecko morphs, though - they're so nifty and it's not a downgrade from their natural color scheme, as so many morphs of other species are. The really boldly patterned gecko around 8:30 is incredible.

    My blizzard leopard gecko was my first reptile. Definitely a great pet reptile for anyone.
    Although mine has gotten grumpy in her old age. She even bit me and drew blood the other day. lol. But that's why she's named Nessie.
    But I think my favorite shown in this video is that really bold one. Just those thick bold jet black patterns are amazing.

    “Not adding any geckos from outside” that doesn’t mean inbreeding does it? They gonna end up with messed up spider type morphs? The Tangerines are stunning!

    • @angelgreen3532
      @angelgreen3532 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Reptiles and amphibians are very "simple" lifeforms, so inbreeding does not have a negative impact on offspring. Inbreeding also has nothing to do with the spider gene - the first spider was a wild caught adult.

    FANTASTIC Geckos!. I am super curious about these Leos as I have had 9 babies hatched in 2020. This is the first year I have ever bred my Leos. The Babies have some of those patterns and colours on them and both their Parent Geckos are just normal looking common colours and patterns. I am waiting to see if the babies continue to keep their individuality or if they will eventually change to look like Ma and Pa. Never having bred Leos I am wondering if it is normal for them to have such variety of colour and pattern??.

    My light orange tangerine morph leopard gecko is named Tango, because she looked like a mix of a tangerine and mango.
    A local pet chain was trying to get rid of them for 15$, and we had the set up, so we raised her and now shes a larger then average female beauty.
    Shes also... Not the brightest. But we love her anyway
    Update: After looking up what she looks like, I think her morph would be classified as
    Super Hypo Tangerine Carrottail Baldies
    Fun

    Beautiful geckos!
    What about UV?
    Also, quite sad that they only have one food type as well

      Leos are nocturnal vitamin/mineral supplementation is all you need.

    Jeepers Dav you want me to choose? I am a sucker for bold patterns BUT the tangerine is wicked. So def want a Jack O'Lantern. BTW Love the vids with you Brian and Cliff. Heck I love them alll.

    •  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! I want a pair of those too

    Promoting reptile carpet as substrate? Yikes Dav cmon
    10 years of inbreeding can't be good... You have to introduce new blood once in a while.
    The bold ones are the best and black knights are my Fav. I started breeding my geckos for longer tails.

    •  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They do

    • @plantpotshoes2644
      @plantpotshoes2644 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oooh, have you had much success in that? like maybe 20% longer on average or anything?
      Do they look even more majestic when they do their little tail wag before lunging at food or do they stop that behavior with longer tails?

      @@plantpotshoes2644 I'm way too early in the project to make any claims, but one baby looks promising, thanks :)

      If you listen close you can hear us say that a diversity of lines in each project allows for minimal inbreeding.

    I normally prefer African fat-tailed but those jack o' lantern morphs were unbelieveable 🤩

    •  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      AFTs are amazing as well. I'll look into doing a video on those as well

      @ I'd love that! They're like the leos lesser known cousins.

    Does line breeding produce consistently healthy offspring? A decade of inbreeding feels like a lot. Beautiful animals!

    •  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Line breeding is not inbreeding

      Dāv Kaufman's Reptile Adventures my mistake, I thought it meant pairing offspring to parents.

    Wow!!!
    We've all seen leopard geckos and they are cool... didn't think they could get cooler but I WAS WRONG!!!
    There's no way I could pick a favorite...
    But the Halloween baby & Adult Tangerine were so amazing!!!

      That's why I was eager to film this
