I personally like leopard gecko cuz they don't do almost anything and sleep mos of the day. I'm getting a leopard gecko in 6 months and i'm doing my research and i don't know where i can get them in Europe so that's a bummer but still i really like them they look really nice and calm:)
I found 3 leopard geckos outside earlier and 2 babies and one medium sized

My leopard gecko comes out for my voice, and kisses our nose. She seems smart
Edit...she does walk off any tall surface like a superside jump.
I guess they do not have depth perception, so, for them any surface looks more or less flat (they can’t tell the difference between the hole 1 cm deep or 1 meter deep).
Does not mean they are unintelligent - just visually impaired.

My leopard gecko was super chill. Never really minded being handled. Watching him sleep used to crack me up because he'd always have his arm out in this weirdly human way. I miss him so much :T

Every gecko (common house gecko, the cream color one) jumps away pretty high. Even the baby. I've seen them jumps away from me when I got closer. I'm just like "owh!" (Inside my head: that's how you escaped huh?)
There's 2 type of common gecko in my house: the cream color and large, dark grayish brown one, oof.

We got her a playpen for her to run around in sometimes and
when she went in there she was confused (Of course) because her area was not huge!

Yeah he's "high" on the spectrum alright
Leos have poor depth perception, which means that through their eyes everything is basically flat. If you use a loose substrate, even though the ground would be uneven, it would look perfectly flat to your gecko. This is also why many peoples geckos walk off tables. It isnt because they are dumb, it is just because they cant see that there is a drop there, or that through their eyes the drop seemed small enough to jump.

The beardies are so content with their existence they can be amused and fulfilled by breathing and it is so enjoyable to observe.
axolotls are supposed to be highly intelligent creatures, but i give sloane (my melanoid) a worm and it takes her three years to realize i gave it to her

we had a full grown iguana for a while, my parents impulse got him, kept him in a 40 tank, which is not good. they only got him out once and my dad got clawed and tail whipped. they eventually gave him to a sanctuary, thankfully.

My leopard gecko is dumb, but he knows that when I tap on the glass with my tweezers there’s food, so he has at least 4 brain cells.
Sometimes all my three cats will look at someone or something in perfect sync and just stare without blinking and it’s the most terrifying thing ever. Not in terror or rage or anything just blank stares and it scares me.
