Brighton Marathon 2024 // AN EMOTIONAL DAY! // RACEDAY VLOG

- If you’ve been following both our training series’ you’ll know the hard work that has gone into training for this day… Both of us have BIG goals, with Ryan attempting to run a SUB 2:50 and Haley hoping to complete her FIRST marathon in roughly 4 hours. With forecasts of high wind gales, and this being a largely coastal course, we were nervous to see how this would impact us.

Brilliant performances. You and others have sold this event to us for 2025 (plus it falls in the middle of our school holidays). Looked like great support out there on the course, if a little windy).

Thank you! Couldn't not power on after all that training 💪🏻 Luckily it was only painful for a few km's and then it went away, glad I didn't spot the blood until after 😅 Hopefully some sort of special tape will sort it!

Tbh I think it's more because of my oddly shaped feet getting angry with a seam 😂 other than the battle scar they were great 😅

Just wow! My second watch through of this. You both absolutely smashed it and should be super proud. That is such a huge achievement in those conditions Ryan, all that hard work in training paid off and it is thoroughly deserved. Absolutely no right to be pulling out 2:45 sprints at the end 🤯And Haley a massive congrats on completing your first marathon in super tough conditions, really amazing work and I hope the blisters recover quickly - ouch! Well done guys! So proud of you. Haley didn't look too bad and yes just about everyone in their first full marathon goes out way too fast. It takes a bit of practice to trust your training and dial in that marathon race pace. And yeah I think you lucked out with the weather and the wind. Glad you had a good day but it did look pretty warm. Cool shirt and medal too.

Fantastic running and vlogging! Loved watching this. You captured the atmosphere perfectly and who knew that it's so quiet at the front of the race! Please do Loch Ness in October. It's one of my favourite UK marathons and it'll be yours too 🐉🏴

Well done to you both, great performances :) I did the Brighton Marathon as well this year and I saw you a couple of times on the course Ryan when you were going the other way to me on the switchbacks (I was in the Northbrook vest). I think I tend to do the same races as you both so will try and say hello if I see you in future. I have been enjoying the channel for a while :)

Great run, guys. Ryan, did you say you had 10 gels??? With the good for age time, you should do Boston Marathon, mate. Or both go for a nice weekend away and do Valencia Marathon. Keep up the good work and smash the rest of the year
Thank you so much for watching, I set off with 6 (that includes one 10mins before) I would then have one every 30 mins but I just take any extra gel that gets handed to me as why not 😂😂, yeah we definitely need to look into a big marathon holiday 🎉

It’s getting better it’s just part of the shoe in the toe box has been rubbing the top of the foot above the big toe, it is an odd one but we can work it out, next half in 3 weeks 😂🙌

Yes this one is a straightforward entry rather than a ballot 🗳 Early bird should just give you a nice discount compared to standard entry, though bear in mind they don't allow refunds (or didn't in 2024 at least)! We got our places in August last year, so although it will likely sell out there's no huge rush
