Hi Waslim, please know that proper procedure to test the purge valve varies per vehicle's make/model. We suggest referring on your service manual to avoid misdiagnosis.
2012 Honda Odyssey... I was just charged $560 to replace this valve and canister vent valve. We replaced our cap a year ago. Drove away and two hours later check engine light with P0443 again! What didn't the mechanic do!!??
@nonda It is the only code now. A fee days ago it was P0497, P0145c and P0301. Purge valve and canister replaced supposedly. Then spark plug removed and replaced for the one fouled. Drove away and all was well. Hour later, this code
Hello, have you tried checking the condition of the gas cap? You can try cleaning it with a WD-40 Cleaner and see if the issue will continue to persists.
NO! NO! NO! DON'T EVER, AND I MEAN EVER USE UD-40 ON ANYTHING INVOLVING THE FUEL OF YOUR GASOLINE ENGINE. THERE IS SILICON IN WD-40. IF IT GET'S IN TO THE FUEL SYSTEM THE SILICON WILL DESTROY O2 SENSORS. 👌

@@nondainc checked the wiring with multimeter, all seem to be working. Anything else I can try before giving up and bringing it in? I replaced the solenoid already, bought a brand new oem gas cap, still no go. I'm pulling my hair out over this 😫

What if my car doesn't have a gas cap? The gas door pops open to access the gas tank to refuel.
