David pretty well like a lot of cars, if u buy a used one that has been beaten on and treated like crap then probably not. If u buy a used one that has been taken perfect care of then it should be fine except for normal repairs, etc. Then again it does have the Ferrari engine....
If you get to live that dream out I hope you have a TH-cam channel so you can chronicle your adventures. Please let me know if that happens. Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave a comment. Have a great day!
@@shine300would you recommend it? My ZL1 was totaled last week and I’m done with cars in that market, I’m looking at something cheaper that looks and sounds just good and I stumbled across a 2008 GT with only 35k miles for almost half the cost. Good idea or am I getting into similar as my ZL1
Ferrari with maserati badges and valve covers, my son drove one 2 years had no issues only a tiny oil drip no shop anywhere would touch. Sounded like a supercar when he down shifted
I just never thought this car only cost like 30k usd... i was going to buy a 2014 panamera but now I am going for this beautiful car! I don't care I had a dial pad or bad infotainment I can put a phone holder!
Thanks for the video, looking into buying one. A lot of negative reviews on reliability that I'm concerned with but this helps. Thank you and please post more !!
I like seeing these type of cars. Hope you are planning to do more of them! My neighbor had a Granturismo a few years ago. I thought it was a really fast car but I haven't been in a lot of fast cars either. Sure was nicely built.
Hi Tom great vid. I future please pop up stats on screen for international viewers, because Americans measure gas in gallons and the rest of the world in litres. That also goes for mileage as in America in its Miles and other parts of the world its in Kilometers.
Vehicle Visionary car checks out, one issue cam cover gasket leaking both sides. I took it back to the dealer, we knocked heads for a little while but he eventually agreed to fixing it. Car sounds and looks unbelievable. Best part is that this car design was virtually untouched from 08 and on. I love it. I haven’t had this much fun and attention since my late 20’s when I had a vette , now I’m 54. I didn’t want another Vette I wanted something that is not to common to see on the road. Viva Italia!!!
I'm looking forward to buying one myself, that red interior caught my attention a lot. The only downfall of the one I found is that it's a dark grey, wish it could either be black or red. Before doing my purchase what are things I should look for?
How much was it because I heard you could get a second hand one for around 10-15 Australian grand and ive seen a few around townvi love the looks as well and im definitely gonna get i just thought I'd watch a review first 👍😃
2013 comes with a bigger engine, facelift, a few interior updates, and fixes a couple issues like the notorious variator issue in 2012 and before models that typically could cost thousands upon thousands to fix
If the price is exactly the same, would you rather buy a 2008 Maserati GT, a 2014 - 2016 Maserati Ghibli, or a brand new 2023 Mustang EcoBoost, and why? I know what my heart tells me. But my brain tells me something else. So, I have a hard time to decide, and I hope someone here can help with a piece of advice!
First of all congratulate you for the new purchase. I'm gonna buy one soon, I have a question maserati grantourismo 4.2 with same exhaust look as you have, doost it sound different on Sport mode? Please let me know. Thanks
Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave a comment. This car belongs to a friend of mine. I didn't notice a tremendous difference but I will ask him and see.
@@VehicleVisionary thanks for the reply. I know that some has exhaust Volvo when you push sport bottom. Please let me know about it. If it's an additional option for it's only available in grantourismo S and MC. Thanks
How is it for tall and large guys? I'm 6"8 and 280 and I always loved Maserati but I can't afford a new one lol I can fit in my dad's 1966 mustang coupe with enough room for my head. Anything comparable?
I can't say for sure since I am not that tall nor is the owner of this Granturismo but I know you can move the seat back a good bit especially with the back seat being there. Since it is not a roadster, it is possible to fit comfortably at 6"8 and 280. I know there are some Maserati forums online that likely have people who can tell you for sure.
I’m jus thinking to buy one of granturismo, I’m very confused and I choices between 4 bmw 635csi ,mercedes 6.3 amg ,bmw 840 csi and of course Maserati granturismo Why I should choice Maserati?
Because its a "MASERATI" and sounds like insanely beautiful ... Its like dating an Italian supermodel which will get you lot of attention in public and being with her just makes you feel good.
It depends I had a 2004 Maserati 4200 Coupe and it had the F1 transmission; it was expensive to maintain with things like Clutch replacement, heater core leak...all within 35K miles on the car. A Dealer gave me a $16K maintenance bill and I said hell no.. traded ($10K they gave me..) it for a 2008 Granturismo which now has 52K miles. It always needs tires; eats a set of Pirellis front/rear often. It requires a fully synthetic oil change which just for filter/oil, etc will set you back at least $150; I pay an indy $50 to perform the oil change. New brake rotors and dustless pads set me back $1200 in parts; did work myself...dealer wanted about $5K. Now it has leaky cams; couple drips on garage floor...Cheapest quote I got by indy said $1200. Just threw a set of front Michelin Pilot Sport 4S for $835...will change rears next;(another $850.00) tires will last longer than my Pirellis. Next have to change the air filter again...do it myself..$100. Spark plugs will be changed as well...alternator is chugging along but I think it might go soon as some have gone out below 40K miles.
@@autotrimmers6353 Yes but make sure they know Italian stuff...Someone told me the $1200 to fix the leaky cams is too much and they had it done for $800. at another indy. Time to find another indy for that work. The stealership/dealership will get you for $5k easily. Dealership wants $1K to get my TPMS sensors working again; Battery dead in one or more sensors...tire shops are clueless and can't figure TPMS. Workaround just check tire pressure before you drive...poor mans way. Had a mass air leak once...turned out to be MAF sensor but dealership wanted $4500...I fixed it myself for $350 in parts. Dealership is 4 hour drive; car was in limp mode and would require a tow,,, "F" that. They don't just sell you the sensor...you have to buy the whole airbox assembly; it is a bitch...but after lots of blood/sweat I got it done. I got the manuals from some Chinese owner ...now I am at a new level of DIY...I am informed and got vital info (stats for torque etc.)
@@autotrimmers6353 So, not the cheapest to maintain but it is fun...I just got offered $17K for mine at a dealer; trying to trade it for a 2017 BMW X6M 4.4L twin turbo...for $62K. I passed...My Granturismo has Larini X pipe and Sports exhaust which cost me $6K.
I just purchased a 2008 Maserati Gran Turismo today, I love this car and love the power and sound of the exhaust.
