Dude, this is gonna sound sacrilege, but that’s as much of a face melting 5 minutes of jamming insanity as the Dead ever did with it. I mean, right the fuck up there with ‘77’s and ‘78’s. Bruce has “it”, he got that feel, and Kimock is absolutely on another planet here. Intergalactic.
So I saw furtherfest in 98 or 99. the otherones with bruce doing a lot of Jerry's tunes, and some of his own believe it or not. It was the closest ive seen to a dead show since seeing the actual dead. Could have been the acid though. But im a musician so i can tell.
John "White Cloud" Molo. Hand picked by Phil Lesh to play with Phil and friends for many years. Provided incredible beats and could play solidly along with guitar greats such as Warren Haynes and Jimmy Herring during the salad days of THE QUARTET. Haynes/Herring? FUGGETTABOUDITT !!!
These run of shows Steve sat in with Phil and Bruce simply sap and pulsate with ferocious and unbridled talent, and the recordings were sensational
That's amazing work by Kimock wow I take back any doubt I had. He's very delicate and that was great.
holy moly that smoked....what a nugget to have show up in my feed...
This song reminds of the good times when greatful did it , good song. Love it 🌷🌷😍🍄🐵
Thank you for sharing and to Rick for sending it to me!

Who is the drummer? Great groove.
John Molo... plays with David Nelson and Moon Alice now. He is a groover!
What a great group to have rolled through our midst...

Dragoneye I stand corrected... looks like it was Michael Baker :O... another killer!
The drummer is Michael Baker. John Molo left in 1996.
Baker. He’s integral to this one, but they are just all murdering this version. Kimock + Phil + singers + keys + Bruce leading the charge.
u know its all great but there is absolutely nocomparison between the dead and any post jerry group none
Is Steve kimock really 4'11?
Sure looks tiny from that weird angle! Can't help being stood next to a tall-ish Derryberry either.
