Phil went off the reservation in 98, after some weird shit went down behind the scenes in the aftermath of the Other Ones tour (and let's just say it was mostly caused by the same guy who caused the problems at FTW). Over the years he gradually bought into his own "Godfather of the Jamband Scene" more and more, and there was no one around him to tell him not to sing. i heard it was Phil's manager/ wife who slighted Kimock, who walked off a Phil tour rather than be humiliated...and sadly they've never played together since. It certainly is part of the reason Kimock wasn't invited to FTW.

I'm not a big fan of Warren with Phil, I mean of course Warren is great, but every Phil + Warren show I've heard sound the same. The beauty in PL&F is the difference in sound between lineups.
