Jerry’s playing was more than a show. It was an invitation, to follow him along wherever he decided to go, and it was pure magic. I wept through this after listening 4 times in a row. I hear whale calls through the the depths. Just astounding beauty. I miss him. No one does what he did or even comes close.
That’s well said! I agree 1,000%! I’ve been so many places with Jerry, so far off in the woods and weeds, Miles out at sea, outer space, and right up to the edge when I wondered how we were getting back, but I always knew we would! He was an adventurer and welcomed us along! We were so lucky!!❤
Laura, the image of whale calls is fantastic - I agree with description and Jerry loved scuba diving. His high treble sound I sometimes describe as a sound coming thru a stone tunnel. I love the whale image - sublime !
This fall tour demonstrates that Jerry could still blow the room away. I saw four shows on this tour, and man I will never forget them. This is a masterclass kids.
Oh yes! You are completely correct! I was able to get in to every night on this Fall JGB Tour. All 15 shows. And that was after attending all 18 west coast JGB shows between January and October. So yea it was an incredible year on the road with Jerry. 33 beautiful shows. ❤
This one is special. Skipped school, drove 7 hours with best friend and got this. He passed several years back but I still remember our amazement watching Jerry and the band do this one. Never forget.

JERRY IS GOAT
I was at this show..singing along with all y 'all ..what a special night
this brought me to tears...in good way! Thanks Jerry
That was the goal.
Each and every night. ❤
Jackie and Gloria ❤
I can't even imagine how moving it would be hearing these songs live. I saw Jerry perform with the Dead nearly 20 times, and always regret not prioritizing a JGB show. I just thought I'd get the chance at the time. As a guitarist I always saw this band as such a peaceful place for Jerry to play. Thanks for sharing this great video.
i never saw jerry. i wasnt really into the dead scene at the time. i was like... 8 maybe 9. we lived in maryland and my sister tried to take me to the rfk stadium shows in the early 90s several times and i always turned down the offer.
Jerry played “Shining Star”
a total of 60 times with the JGB.
I was blessed to see all 60. 🙏🏻😍🙏🏻
TY Last Song I ever heard Jerry play Seattle..........❤❤❤❤🌹🌹🐻🐻🐻🐻🎇🎇🎇🎇
Nice.
I caught all 60 Shining Stars that Jerry played with JGB between 1991-1995.
