@@mikesmith22050 Both guitars had the back part of the bridge/pickup plate cut off and different bridges installed; Parfitt's with a Jr. style wraparound bolted to the body, but the strings still run through the body, Rossi's has a tune-o-matic style bridge and 3 Strat size rail humbucker pickups. Rossi used to have G&L MFD pickups at one time. They're still tele-ish, I guess.

Awesome. I left Linkin Park after twenty minutes so that my young kids could witness The Mighty Quo. They still talk about it now. And they feel blessed to have seen Rick Parfitt.

I was at this gig, and was rather mortified to see my mug in the crowd in a few shots. Bought a fall out boy shirt 3 hours before, and it was swiftly ripped apart by the end of this gig. Good times, and very grateful I got to see them in this lineup!

My first ever CD I heard on my own stereo was '12 gold bars' late 1986. I fell in love with this music. Almost 35 years later I'm proud to say that I have collected ALL their albums! Really! For example: Picturesque, Ma Kelly, Dog of two head, Spare parts, In the army now, Ain't complaining, Perfect remedy, Thirsty work, In search for the fourth chord, Aquostic, Backbone! No need to say that I miss Rick!

I've never considered this line up to be THE Status Quo , and the Frantic Four tours were a total gift from the Rock gods , but this is a great Set opener , God bless you Rick and Alan 🙏
The quo transcends individuals, it's about those three chords the boogie rhythm, the line up is irrelevant, as long as it keeps going for eternity that's all that matters
First saw Quo in 1973, they were playing Norwich, found out they were on by chance, my mate and I went down to the hall on spec, it was sold out, got chatting to a guy who came out, turned out he was their engineer, found out we were two RAF lads, he invited us inside we sat with him at his kit and watched the concert for free, love Quo.
Got to watch a Van Halen concert in Long Beach , California from the side when I was US Navy shore patrol and we were there to pick up a drunk sailor, the local police invited us to stay, even the drunk didn’t mind. That was 1978 and I wish it would have been Quo!!

(Where saw The Stranglers, King Crimson, Curved Air, The Feelgoods, Hawkwind, etc., in the seventies) Terrible acoustics, but conquered by King Crimson with the biggest PA bins I'd ever seen at the time! Many good times!
Saw them live at Wembley area about 30 years ago, awesome show supported by Dumpys Rusty Nuts ( one of the best band names in history ). Sometimes simplicity is an art. RIP Rick 🙏

Great video sound quality, and a great band. I saw them in Edinburgh (Playhouse?) in the early 1970s and I was clapping and boogieing so much I thought I'd wet myself. Thankfully it was just sweat.

Ones listening both sides/songs it changed my live from german hit music to rock. Daily i cdnt wait to run after school to listen this band. Later i past almost all importand bands, incl. Deep purple, black sabbath, Uriah heep, accept(heidi), motörhead(my sons name is lemmy), iron maiden and maaaaany more. Lately dragonforce, stratovarius and since last year: unlucky morpheus(drummer fumiya). Status quo.... Thank you forever for it!!!!!!

In my first ever gig we had a support band which included Francis' son playing his first ever gig - he spent most of his time in stage with his back to the audience! We thought Rossi Snr might turn up but sadly not. That was a few decades ago now - I'm still playing guitar live (and often use a Tele and Marshall half stack - but just the one!) and loving it :) Quo made some great music. Not sure why Google suggested this vid to me but I'll be jamming along with some of their tunes tomorrow... sorry neighbours! :)
We saw one of the last concerts Quo did with the full line-up at Carcassonne, ad the fascinating thing was that while we were sitting up in the stand, I was thinking, Quo, is it? Ho Hum. And then we went down by the stage, five metres from the band, and instantly I got it. They aren't a stadium band at all - wasted in all that space. They are a small gig band and from five metres are just mind-blowing. Can't think of another band who improve so much at close range!

They are a small gig band and from five metres are just mind-blowing. Can't think of another band who improve so much at close range!

The band I've seen in concert more times than any other band! The first time being at the Apollo, Glasgow in 1973, & the latest just a few years ago here in Perth, Australia.
Bought this when it came out. I was 16. Awesome guitarwork. IMO, their best.
