Nice one, props for making an almost-all commuter video look good! I shot a handful of them by Point of Rocks when I was out in that area a Summer ago, definitely a nice alternative to the F40's and GP40MC's I see every day out here in Boston...oh wait, now the MBTA's two MP36-36's and some of those EXACT same MARC GP40WH-2's! I guess things really aren't too different after all then.
I love both Point of Rocks and Dickerson. But, my favorite Marc station is Barnesville because that's the first Marc station I've ever seen. I think I first saw it when I was 5, 6, or 7. My dad took me to see it. So before we moved out of Poolesville on the days it was my dad's turn to have me we'd stop by Barnesville on the way home and watch a train stop there. :D
Maybe MARC could use some newer equipment here and there. Answer - get some from NJ Transit. NJT's has WAY more new bi-levels than they ever needed. Yet they want to scrap great equipment that really isn't all too old, which should be rebuilt, or sold to people who need it badly. MARC's oldest -> Comet III's and Multilevels. (idea)
Good Ol Old Engines.Good Times
great movie . i go there alot . its a nice place near the park ...
Point of Rocks is on the CSX Metropolitan Subdivision and the Old Main Line
This is also the CSX Metropolitan Subdivision
I wish there was a MARC line like this serving Southern Maryland, connecting directly with Washington, D.C.
There was an idea for one to go east after leaving bowie. I forgot what town it would go to. I want to see service on the eastern shore
nicely done
Awesome video! Glad we could have you along for the day.
I never realized that the Frederick merge was THAT close to Point of Rocks station!
From 6:12, I could feel the power of DIESEL!!!
Thanks for this excellent video!
Nice catches and location there, Oozy!

Good to see the old Metra equipment still in use. Weird how they use 2 locomotives on each end, thats like a total WTF for me :D
