    I just want everyone to know, his little guest that showed up twice was my dog. He bolted off, and we lost him for almost two days. We were camped roughly 6 to 8 miles away from Whitney reservoir. This was a great find.

    I was just up there poking around myself. I didn’t have a river sluice (fixin to be ordered soon) but didn’t have much luck just panning. We’re you right there on Gold hill Road or had you deviated much from it? I’ll probably go back up here in the next week or so, so some feedback would be awesome. I’ve got gold outta California and Nevada but nothin outta Utah yet which is sad for it being my home state. Any hot tips on where’s best to pan you can throw my way?

    • @UtahProspector
      @UtahProspector  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is right on gold hill road. There is a small gold mine (caved in) up top, that's how yo'll know if you're in the right spot. Where in UT do you live? utahgold.org is a local club that you can join which will give you access to some of the better claims in the state. Also stg propsectors out of St. George have some good claims as well. some public areas with a bit of color are AF Canyon and Willard Canyon along the wasatch front. good luck and let me know what ya find!

      HI Billy,
      thanks for asking! I have sold some on occasion. Mostly I keep it, lock it away, and look at it when I get gold fever lol. Sometimes I'll make 200-$300 in a day profit, but I find that I work so hard for the gold, that I then have a hard time selling it. Usually I find about as much gold as it costs me gas. So If I spend $150 in gas, maybe I'll find $100-$150 in gold. haha. so not much profit, just lots of fun. thanks for watching i really appreciate it! U.P.

    So if you mine 50 5 gallon buckets, you'll get a gram or so. Move on. Don't waste your time. When you see tiny colors in your pan, THAT is the ground real gold miners say "ok, lets mine thousands of yards and get hundreds of ounces". Don't waste your time dude. Gold mining is for the generations of gold miners, or the folks who have 2 million dollars to get up and running. Find another hobby. Don't try and do what the big boys do.

      Lol he can’t have fun and collect a little gold? Try another hobby because you won’t get rich like the big boys! You’re a real buzzkill, must be fun at parties. Smh

      Lol bro I think you're taking life a little too seriously. This is just for fun on a camping trip. If your thinking is correct, why would anyone want to sing, play sports, learn a musical instrument, ect ect. We all do it for fun, not to get rich. Lighten up bro. You need to calm down and reflect on your attitude towards others.

      Thanks! I agree, it's just for fun, he's obviously got some inner-problems with self-esteem and how he views the world.
