    Looks like you really found a really great spot. I didn't think there was gold that size here in Utah. Congratulations. Nice nuggets.

      @UtahProspector  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      utahavalanch Thanks for watching. Neither did I, (as you can tell by my reaction when I panned that 1st nugget, and then saw each following nugget). We have big things in the works and hope to eventually be able to share these experiences with others. spreading to passion is what we're all about. It was by chance that I met this claim-owner who is seriously one of the nicest guys. As things fall into place there will be opportunities for others to join us near this particular location. Stay tuned!

    Really nice nugs there Utah, looks like a nice family outing. Thanks for posting. I am really enjoying watching you prospecting. I like the blue pan with the really close riffles. Like the highbanker made with the vent tubing. See some of the nugs from my last panning trip in my avatar.

    Great video. I spent my time on the henries years ago bringing buckets home to sluice but recently got a nice dry washer and hoping to do some good in my backyard that is the southen desert. I hear good things about fish lake forest too. Keep it up and May there always be color in your pan!

      UtahProspector I always love watching gold prospectors. We have a creek that has really decent gold (for Michigan) and by really decent we will classify a bucket of material and get 4 pieces of flour gold, and 1 decent flake. On the best day I had seven 100 mesh pieces and three 50-60 mesh maybe.

    • @UtahProspector
      @UtahProspector  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** Hey that's not too bad! Do you ever think about digging real deep to see what's below? LIke 2-3 feet down maybe?

    • @MIgardener
      @MIgardener 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      UtahProspector Yeap! We dug all the way down to this beautiful solid clay (young bedrock) and we sucked that surface clean as a babies bottom. But I will tell you what, we get some very nice color right on the bedrock. It is a ravine, so there is only one way for the water to go. ,

    I just finished watching the video, and I must say that I was surprised to see the small nuggets that you've found, especially in that location! Contrary to everyone's belief, there is loads of gold here in Utah, the only drawback is that it's mostly gold dust and not very profitable. This is definitely a task for a hobbyist. Thanks for sharing your video guys! Great job!

    • @UtahProspector
      @UtahProspector  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ya it’s an old one for sure lol. Still thanks for watchin. It is central west desert of Utah that’s all I can say as it is not my claim and still isn’t. I will tell you that the central Utah prospectors club (group on FB) has a claim not too far from this one and it’s killer. Their membership is cheap and they’re a great club.

    how do you get a claim in Utah?

    • @UtahProspector
      @UtahProspector  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's the same as any other state. Cheapest way is to just google it. Finding a good spot that has gold and hasn't already been claimed is the difficult part. Once that's been done filing isn't too difficult. There are prospect in clubs that own good claims and for a small annual fee (39?) you can dig on all their claims. Utahgold.org is a good one. Stg prospectors is another good one in southern Utah. Thanks for watching man.

    They say there no gold in utah but that's what they think just for the fact they don't get up off your butt and go look for it haha. but if there's that much color in that little Hillside have you figured out what it could be to the ton? if you. just saying. got 1.5gm gold to the tone. I'd say expand your claim and try to get full control of it and it wouldn't hurt to check into the mineral rights to. if you have a Public Access Road that runs through the claim you can't condemned that road sucks I know haha I've tried find ways but no luck there unless you go big like kucc did but the cost Millions. but for the future good luck keep it up congratulations.
