- We took our dredges and equipment to our claim where we spent a couple days camping, eating well, relaxing & finding the gold.
We were happy with our take and especially since that nice picker showed up in the blue miners moss.
Thanks for watching and allowing me to share my hobby with you.

What state do you live in? I bet you could if someone helped ya along and pointed you in the right direction.
Nice find!
Thanks
This answers my question about if you can dredge without a wet suit. Thanks.
Congratulations on your finds, you earned 'em!
Hey thanks appreciate it
Looks good !
Great job you guys. Luck is with us all when it comes to finding gold 🤙

nice separator....thumbs up
great video
seems like a tone of effort for minimal gold, that was like the amount i would get out of a pan on a good day
not everyone has good ground like you probably do. We have since found better places. thanks for watching.
nova days gold rush in gold mining and prospecting with Flexicone concentrators -do not miss!!!!
You're having fun and the Greatest Reward of all is sharing this with your Family and Friends. This will keep u coming back and maybe by then your daughter can start panning her first pan of color.
What area of Idaho is your claim? Our claim is up past Salmon near the Idaho and Montana board. just be careful both the Fish and Game and National Forest love to hassle prospectors, they want have you fill out mining documents. Don't do it. not even a NOI ( Notice of Intent ). Once you say your mining they will nail with all kinds of regs.
Hey thanks for watching Bob! I completely agree. Hope she learns to love it like I do. Time will tell. We got an offer on that claim and ended up selling it. It was on the north fork of the Boise river. The 7hr drive to the claim was a long trip with kids so for that reason I decided to let it go. Hope you have a great year and get lots of gold my friend.
UtahProspector can i be nosey and ask what you sold the claim for? Reason being im intresting in trying to pirchase one amd havent a clue how a claim works the money involved i take it its like renring land or do you buy it? So my question being why did you sell it? Ie.. Not finding enough gold or money tight and second being how much for thnks
Love your videos, just subbed. Keep em coming, please (from the UK).
exchequerofwords Hey thanks I appreciate that! Thanks for watching.
Loved this video even though it is over 4 years old haha. I went gold hunting the other day in alaska ( i am from new zealand ) and found 3 grams of gold flakes. It was something I have always wanted to try and for me it paid off.it was a whole day of fun and to get gold aswell made it so much more worth it. Thanks for the cool video!!
Whoa - that's incredible! Congrats man. I'm jealous lol! Thanks for watching and have a good winter season.
Muy bueno su video. Saludos desde Chile. Un gran abrazo .
Nice job fella's , always like to see that shiney in the Pan. Glad to see that your new claim has Paydirt on it. If you didn't have the fever before, I know you got it now.... for sure. Take Care and good Hunting. Jeff
Hey thanks Jeff! Appreciate the comment. Right you are about the fever! Thanks for watching.
Good job........🎯🎯🎯🎗🎗🥇🥇🥇🥇🏅🏅🏅🏅

Hi
Did you see in your exclusive rest room has a lot of soft white color gold. You can turn that into hard gold. LOL
The only thing I can think of to improve things is for someone to be catching Trout while you mine. I bet Gold Mining builds a big hunger.
Haha yes you are soooool right! Thanks for watching man I appreciate it.
Stephen Coleman Get that Hibachi cooking. 🐠🐟

I hope you find tons of gold my friend , looks like fun , wish i could be there with you guys .

Using A Cable Electric Winch and load lift to carry all that Equipment and Cons Up Them Thar
Hills , Think about a Ski Lift For Cargo ?
Do you have to buy the claim or you can just tackle an area you want?
Hi, the water flow is too high u are loosing the gold in dust. Is just an observation XD. Great place to work, cherrs!!
Thanks for the observation. We had to find a happy medium. The area has so much heavy magnetite, any less flow or pitch and the box would fill up completely. We ran my sluice with the gold hog matting behind for a full 3 hours just to see if we were losing anything from the top box and we were only losing minimal flour that was -200mesh or less. That was ok with us so we just kept on goin. Had a blast and will be back next year. Thanks for watching.
UtahProspector Your welcome!, great vdos. I will suscribe. Im a gold minner to, but from mexico. Regards!!!
Fun day with the family! great vid guys!
Hey thanks Handegard! It was a great weekend.
Hi there. Is that 2" or 2.5" dredge?
it was a 3" dredge made by south yuba mining co. Thanks for watching!
Thanks!
That's pretty sweet! Can you dredge all year?
keep on digging
😊
Looks like a great time. Thank you for sharing!!!
Would love a small claim like this, unfortunately they are to much $$$ for a hobby claim here in Australia.
Eating Happy Meals tonight!
Congrats!
Thanks Will!
Congrats you guys did pretty good
Thank you. Thanks for watching
Another great video my friend.
Mate i got more gold panning a couple of old worked crevices today. That timber in your flood debris tells me that you need to go upstream abit.
Thanks, yes we didn't get much on that trip. It was still good memories though. Thanks for watching!
Great vid boys but are you sure thats a 4inch?looks like a 3inch to me
Good stuff man, I long to dredge one day.
Is the claim in UTAH? I didn't know there was a dredgeable creek or river in the whole state. I'm in SW Colorado. You did well.
Hey thanks for watching! No, this particular claim was on the north fork of the Boise River. We sold the claim last year because it was a 7hr drive to the claim which was a bit too far for guys with families and young kids who we like to bring along.
There are dredge-worthy streams in Utah, check out my other videos to see them. Thanks for watching!

o
I
or
i love watching Americans get all jazzed about $20 worth of gold flecks and then watching some Aussies dig up gold bricks nonchalantly lol
Haha we were just happy to see gold is all. Of course we don't do it for profit and we've since sold that claim since it was so far away. Watch my latest video nugget after nugget we have a much better claim now with better gold that's easier to get to. Thanks for watching!
+Ted Bundy Ya we can't all detect massive nuggets in Australia. We play the hand we're dealt right? I dig gold for fun and the thrill not to make money. thanks for watching man have a good one.
+Ted Bundy I guess you missed all the gold bricks Americans dug up in California and Alaska.
But hey! What do I know?
You have to reference an event that happened over 130 years ago to try and prove me "wrong" i didn't say anything that would bother or offend anyone but still some douche like you just has to make this type of douchey comment. Yeah, 60 years before the first motion picture people we're digging up lots of gold in Alaska and California but i'm talking about now. Fucking idiot.
+Ted Bundy Oh Bullshit. Your OP was written to offend, and when someone disagrees with you and reveals a fact that disproves your insult you get your panties in a twist. The very fact that you have to bring up nationalities while ignoring referencing videos in which some Aussies get jazzed up and Americans nonchalantly show their finds is quite telling.
Fuck off douche
Roger from Mudfossil University TH-cam channel explains how to easily find a lot of gold and what exactly to look for. It's not concentrated where you think it is or what you think it's in.
Hello again, What kind of pump are you using and how big is that nozzle? Also, how long are your hoses? Thank you so much
It's a 2" trash pump. The one on this trip was a Honda, but the champion brand from cabelas works just as good and is quite a bit cheaper. The pressure hose is 2" and the intake hose is 3". In this video were using a 3" nozzle and the hose is 20' long. It's called blower hose, Evco house of Hose has it for cheaper than anywhere else I could find.
Cool. I have a 2 inch trash pump and wanted to use it to run a 2.5 inch hydroforce nozzle but I was told it didn't produce enough pressure to run the nozzle. The intake on the nozzle is 1.5 inch so I would have to neck it down at the pump.
Depends on the GPH and the head lift. It should work fine in my opinion. Best to try it out! Mine is 93 GPM and has 25 head lift.
Shame ppl hate ppl - having Fun. Omg 😮
Вот это аппарат!!!👍
Hello guys, this is Prospector Jack of Appalachian Prospectors, nice video, I am assuming that your claim is in Utah, I haven't seen very many gold videos from Utah in fact this may be the first one. That is one nice little nugget. I gave you a sub and I hope to see more videos from Utah.
Title states Idaho claim
looks like fun, but not quite an ounce per hour.... lol, have fun...
haha thanks man. ya it's fun. No profit but the fun is profit in my eyes. thanks for watching man.
Congratulations for the people on the claim of Idaho a little bit counts not too bad I would be sluicing for a week there at least I would find something half decent that's some fine gold man on man we got some guys here to found some gold who who two cheers for the guys that found some gold for the first raging who who again one more time who who well they're saying Yahoo I guess it's not coming in I'm half American and half Canadian TCB third son of Elvis Presley and that's the way it is man my daddy came here in Canada 1957 Maple Leaf Gardens check it out I miss third son and they say howdy
Nice video.
Thank you
Good job on the dredging. Is that a 3" or 4" ? Kind of looks like a three. All gold is good gold.
HI Chuck, It's a 4" made by South Yuba Mining Co. Finding his equipment is rare though since he is no longer making mining equipment. This was the very best dredge I've ever used. Hey thanks for watching! I hope you have a great 2019
@@UtahProspector I was thinking about building a 4" with a suction nozzle. The box and riffle rack are simple enough. I have built 3" suction nozzles but never a 4".
@@CandSMINING If I had my choice, I would go for the 4". Good luck and let me know how you do this year!
Good on ya!
how much mining can you do in the claim as far of damage to the land
How do you file a clam? Sorry if stupid question, but isn't it on public land? thx in adv.
The process is way too long to describe here. Best thing to do is go to the library and check out a book on How To File A Claim. There's a hundred of those books out there. Or search it here on TH-cam. There are videos done by others on how to file a gold claim. They are usually on BLM land, or Forest Service land, or School Trust Land. so yes - public land in most cases.
UtahProspector
Thank you sir, I went and looked it up. Good luck with the gold and thx again.
hey UP, could u make a rake to move the bigger rock out of the way maybe 4 to 6 teeth?? looks like you guys had a blast out there! look out 4 snakes?
GOD BLESS YOU & FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes that's actually a great idea! Thanks. A rake with every other tooth cut out would be a good tool in my opinion. Thanks for watching!
+UtahProspector ive heard that taking a pitch fork and bending the teeth 90 degrees to make a rake works really well for dredging, too. Gonna try that myself.
Looks like a good claim...
Great footage, nice gold what part of Idaho is that river
gold fever sets in...
Haha yep you are correct! Thanks for watching man
so u said this was at the trapper creek claim in idaho?
Vince Kalem Vince Kalem yes sir on the north fork of the Boise river. 2014
Great thanks
Vince Kalem are you buying that claim? The river is ultra fast and quite deep.
Im buying the Yellow Secesh claim
Vince Kalem is that nearby? Not familiar with it. That north fork of the Boise is one mean river.
Said u were gonna show the gold at the end???😔
We did, it wasn't much lol. thanks for watching!
South Yuba dredge/highbanker? How do you like it
I love it. They're the best and most reasonably priced I've come across.
UtahProspector How much cost one?with airpumper
hey guys yall good
You aren't supposed to be running the sluice right back into the creek like that. It's supposed to be running into a hole far enough away from the creek so the dirt and sediment can settle out before the water returns to the creek. All that dirt is bad for the gills of the fish. Do it right folks. So how much gold did you actually get? Maybe a couple of grams? Two guys working all day. Tons of pollution directly back into the stream for about $80.00 worth of gold split between two families. How is that worth it?
We just do it for fun, nothing gained in te way of actual gold value. Just the experience. Silt going back into the stream in no way damages anything of the sort. It frees up the nutrients for fish to eat and does no harm to anyone or anything. We don't do it to make money. Just for fun bud. Thanks for watching and I hope you have a great 2020/ happy hunting.
Howdy, what pump where u running?
I think it was just a 3" Trash pump from Cabelas. Thanks for watching
Can u give A link to your Goldridge
nice woark
Cool, but damn recently found a gold suspension of 7 grams in the sea and it was much easier than their way))
Cool
Still waiting to see the gold.
I'd like to use a gold dredge in US, may I have some informations about please? I've got 10 years dredging experience in Africa, I'm French, Bordeaux
I am assuming dredging is legal in Utah, where else can you dredge legally? It looks like a lot of fun
Rob Sholtz There’s quite a bit on dredging for Mormons I hear. Lucrative too.
It is illegal in Idaho.........
where can we get your machine?
nice
How much would you say you made for the day
Maybe a hundred bucks or so. We really don't do it for the money, just for the thrill and fun :)
That's ten Buck for you and ten bucks for me! Yeah but we owe the baby sitter $25 oh no. Back to the crick. (Creek)
Those ripples in the sluice were packed with dirt! I wonder how much gold was lost. You need more water speed. What is your pumps gph? You're in the right place though! ;)
Muito bom
Looks like you might be ready for air. Good job. Are you on Clearcreek?
I got me a claim but I don't now how much mining can I do in the claim
NICE :)
Maybe too much water flow. Wash light Gold back in creek.
Ya but if we slowed it down the sluice would fill il and we'd miss everything since the material was riddled with black sands. That flow was the best happy medium we could get to given our circumstances. Plus, we did test runs and we really weren't even losing much flour anyways. Thanks for watching!
is this in canada or the usa?
Mark Robinson it's in Idaho
oh ok, thanks!
Mark Robinson 'look pool Ed
how much and where to find a dredge like that?
Keith DiCristoforo you can find them on eBay actually, sometimes for really good deals! This particular model with hoses and a motor would be around 600 I'm guessing? Good luck and thanks for watching!
weldone buddy..
You can buy ear protectors for babies these days. Tinnitus here we come!
?Do carpet grass good at cleaning
Enough to buy lunch
THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS.... there could be a crocodile lurking in those rocks ready to POUNCE on the unwary
+jeremy western
Crocodiles in Utah??
+pileofstuff yes.... sometimes people dump their unwanted pets in the river... if you look at 2.12 im sure you can see a croc behind a bush
+jeremy western I see it. good man
+MacDaddie9 no it wasnt a croc... it was an old shoe
Hola cómo me consigo , una draga de esas
How do you get a claim?
,sir im from nepal there is gold in many river can i cantact you
Dredging in for my claim in Idaho my friends you don't want rocks the size of your fist in your sluice box you will lose your gold you don't want to get any kind of sticks or roots or anything like that in your sluice box it will get rid of your gold so whatever you're putting in there make sure you don't get in your sluice box such a big freaking stones or big enough to actually move the gold out of the box these are very precious to try to avoid you don't want to wind up losing your gold
Hey thanks for the comment man, Yes we were somewhat new and still had lots to learn. Thanks for watching and I hope you have a good 2020.
