I'm just about to try Adobe Firefly and noticed that in they usage rules they have this statement - While generative AI features are in beta, all generated output is for personal use only and cannot be used commercially.
So my understanding is that the generated images can't be used on the commercial products such as tshirts etc. Am I right?

sometimes it is a hit or miss when you ask for a slight modification in DALL-E ...it may just redo the entire image or add something that wasn't there. For example I may say "Can you give me the full body " it will redo the entire subject character. However, sometimes if I just say ' now have her do this...' it will not redo the whole image. It's time-consuming sometimes.

just a note I think that commercial use policy is only for dalle in chat gpt, probably because it is only available to paid accounts. Bing image creator is still showing non commercial use only in their terms of use.

Hey Alek, please can you tell me one thing, is the commercial use also given when useing Dalle 3 in Bing or image creator? or only in the paid version of GPTPlus (gpt4)
An amazing time for AI art. I've been playing with text-to-vector for about a week now and it's not perfect yet, but it's really damn good for the initial release. I've made some pretty dope art with it and it was very fast. I also tinkered with Firefly's new model to recreate images I had made in Midjourney for some of my products and it is substantially easier to get the designs and layouts I want. The quality was better on most of them, too. If they release stealth mode, custom ratios, and arrays I'll test it even more *fingers crossed*. I stopped using Dall-e a while back bc I couldn't get the results I wanted, but I did love the amount of control it gives you. Definitely giving v3 a shot this weekend.

Midjourney's great new update is the upscaler. It's nice finally being able to see all my previous generations large in and total clarity. And also humans look the best in Midjourney.
But Dall-E overall just looks amazing *and* it listens nearly perfectly to your prompts.
I think if Midjourney can somehow make a model that's better at interpreting your prompts, can spell, and develops UI then it can get back on top.
is it an actual higher scale render using the same prompt as the original, or is it an "after the fact" upscaler similar to the other upscaler tools on the market?
@@RandomButBeautiful the upscaler works 50/50. i wouldn't rely on it. just use gigapixel from topaz to upscale initial rendering from MJ, works so much better

I loved using Adobe products when I was in school for Architecture. Been waiting for a program that would have these abilities to edit and alter your image, or specific things in it! Hopefully MJ don't drop the ball coz I love that AI! (Not a fan of Dall-E but I am that way with all Microsoft products. Plus, the images I have been able to make with it so far.. may have to revisit to do that with characters for a book I am working on, because MJ is so random with trying to recreate specific images and looks!

Wow! Awesome video demonstration! 👍😃 Dall-E was reborn as the new king of Ai. Midjourney still struggles with the understanding of all the words we have in our prompts. It skips a lot of words we write.
Overall, Midjourney is still on top. The only real weakness it has is text generation.. if they fix that, there isn't even any contest anymore.
I'm feeling like Midjourney has gone mad. I have to turn the style down to 50 to get it to even remotely listen to what I'm saying, and even then it just won't do things, or does the opposite of prompts
@@paulrodriguez5138 I've been having similar problems with MJ. It feels as if they are way too concerned about delivering the most trendy/popular types of results instead of specific prompting.
Its biggest weakness is that if you give it a prompt with more than a couple of specific details, it often gets them wrong, mixing up colours, position of items etc. DALLE 3 is on a completely different level to Midjourney as far as prompt following is concerned. I’ve been using MJ for about a year now, and my biggest frustration has always been how much time is wasted due to poor prompt following. I can create page after page of beautiful images, but it’s very hard to get close to what I want, so I often end up compromising. DALLE 3 has shown it can be done, and MJ really need to up their game.
Text is Midjourney's only weakness? I've found it has two weaknesses. Text and guns. Midjourney doesn't do guns. At least not guns you'd ever want to fire. Midjourney's guns look like a random kludge of random gun components someone's dumped in a pile and then welded together.

Regarding the use of the Bing Image Creator, I had ASSUMED that images would have been for commercial purposes, since a lot of videos like this are mentioning it. However, when I did a search, it said that the images were for PERSONAL USE ONLY. Anyone discovered differently? If so, could you quote your source? Thanks.

what costs firefly? i found only 4,99/month (but for 100 credits) is firefly with commercial rights? i dont like the adobe package overview - to complicate to understand what u get for your money and what u need to use it completly. i think for 4,99 its only image generation with nothing more, also without generative fill or commercial use.
Adobe seems to have some great filters that could save crazy amounts of time trying to get the right look in Midjourney though. I'm about to look into Firefly again. Might be worth it for me to switch since i use AI to bring my tshirt design ideas to life.
MJ is cheaper depending on sub, Adobe CC has 20+ professional and industry standard softwares amongst those and now Firefly as well. and even then MJ can be even more expensive than the whole Adobe CC suite/all apps plan.

All this won't matter in a year or two when most anyone who is looking for a side hustle will attempt to easily create images/art then try to sell on many platforms (ETSY, Shopify POD, etc.)... and the numbers will be in the 100K's +. The only ones making $$$ will be OpenAI, Etsy, Shopify and the other AI generating companies.
i have tried them all and midjourney still the king.

Do the math. Now I didn’t look up adobe’s website or affiliate programs and what they actually offer but I’d imagine those numbers are conservative.

Dall-E is not even in the same ball park as Midjourney....Dall-E is for high school students, amateurs or kids looking to create clip art or cartoons.
Its funny how this guy is still focusing on making pennies and ignores the value drop of all these images with this tool. The market it drying up, slowly but surely. This is all on deaths door, so i would only recommend getting into it if its for personal reasons.
Strike while the iron is hot. Mugs and such with AI images isn't a long term play, for sure, but at least get some money while you can before the market is super saturated.

Illustrator AI vector is terrible. The vectors it produces are shocking quality. It's worse than tracing a raster image. The paths and points are a mess. No way could you use the vectors it produces commercially.

It's all well and good promoting Adobe products, but you fail to mention that Adobe is a money grabbing company. I won't use software that I have to pay for every month, and I know what the comeback will be "but if you start selling products, it will pay for itself". That's a big "if", the POD market is absolutely saturated these days, and anyone who says they are making thousands of dollars every month from it, is full of it.
But... If someone is able to make money off them... Then why shouldn't they pay? People pay for netflix. They pay for food. They pay for clothes. They pay for hardware tools. They pay for software tools. They pay for freelancers. They pay for drinks. They pay for someone to paint their house...
But they shouldn't pay for Adobe?
Edgy to hate on capitalism but... There are moments where paying is the right thing to do. If you want a service, pay for it.

I’m just starting out. No experience. No schooling. Could anyone recommend (via a link), what kind of computer I would need to buy to run all the artistic programs (adobe illustrator, photoshop, any others)
Look into the Serif suite of apps called AFFINITY. They are not subscription based, they’re CHEAP and work as well as photoshop etc.
Photoshop is very heavy software. I'd imagine you'd need at least 16gb ram and a modern processor. $1000 pc laptop should be able to handle it just fine.
