      Semantics aside, it wouldn't really matter what it was called those with bigoted/backward thinking would still find something negative to say about it. Such people are fueled by ignorance and a complete incapacity to accept the fact that there is diversity in nature and in society.

    all my life I’ve had a family that didn’t really approve of gays and bi etc. I’ve always tended to like girls but I also liked boys and didn’t know if I only liked the body of girls. So I went to a library to search things sense I didn’t know what was happening with me. Turns out I’m bisexual. I’ve come out to my bffs and and bf and that’s it. I’m scared to tell my family Incase they won’t love me for who I am. But no matter what this goes for you and me. No matter who said what or if someone says something about it. Just remember if they can’t like or love who YOU are ignore them! They arnt worth your time and you should love yourself no matter what! I’m seeking into telling my parents and siblings etc. So love yourself! Don’t change anything about you for someone else!!!

    I am so proud of these people. I mean, I am not gay but I think people shouldn't just think pride is wrong, just because your in pride doesn't mean your something else, your still human and you should be treated like a human. Pride is a very proud thing for some people. Just because your transgender doesn't mean you can't be treated like other people. Or like gay or lesbian. Just because your pride doesn't mean it changes your life or someone else's life. Be whoever you want.

    I don't care if I'm gay or not because we're all just humans who are living normaly, bieng gay is just normal it has no role that you cannot love someone that has the same gender as you..right? If I'm gay I will be proud and I'll just accept the fact that I'm gay...it doesn't matter who you love what matters is who you think will love you😊

    “We refuse to be invincible “
    That’s exactly what happens in my country indonesia...
    No one ever say “i’m gay” publicly...
    We are all hiding our sexual orientation...
    I’m bisexual men too (far far far more attracted to the same gender) and still not coming out yet...
    I hope indonesia will be like usa too someday,not just indonesia but the whole world...
    I hope the world someday realize that sexual orientation is not a choice its something that we are born with,and we can not change...

    As I really like my best friend and I will see her next week on Sunday, we just made up about 3 weeks ago from a 6 month fight. I haven't talked to her since but I want to tell her I'm bi and I might tell her I like her. Any advice on how I should tell her?

    • @elaustraliano
      @elaustraliano  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't really have advice per se but just make sure you feel comfortable within yourself before you share with her something very personal about you. And maybe just discuss one thing at a time - e.g. your orientation - without bringing her into the equation just yet. At least that way you can see how she reacts first...

    i dont understand how people can dislike this, like its literary incredible how people get together to fight for their rights in such a beautifull way. Im not american, in my country we dont have this i am a 16 years old who would like to have this kind of things in an homofobic country, not because im one of them but because i am human who knows that being discriminate for something that you cant control its not acceptable, i mean you dont discriminate people for the color they like the most, why would you discriminate something like their likes in people, its like saying white people cant love asian people, its ridiculous just because you dont like it you need to opress people, if you are a heterosexual person its okay, but we need to know that being gay, lesbian, bisexual or whatever that you identify yourself its okay too, because above all you are a person and deserve be treated as one. so please stop hating on people who is just fighting for the same rights that you have.
    PD: im sorry i dont speak english very well , so im sorry if i have any grammatical or other errors. please dont hate on me.

      I would actually like to criticize the banner at 4:28 that says "there are no queer friendly cops" when there are, and I bet there are cops who are part of the lgbt community themselves. Also at 5:07, "islamaphobia is an lgbtq issue" is something I will never understand. I don't get why gay people are so accepting of islam when there are muslim countries that put people to death for being gay under sharia law. The vast majority of negative views of gay people, why same sex marriage has been illegal for so long, and why gay pride exists today is because of religion. In the modern world, islam is the most harmful one of all to the lgbt community because like I said before, gay people are dying because of islam more than any other religion. But the lgbt community would rather hold up signs criticizing police officers like they're the bad guys? The vast majority of police officers I'm willing to bet are very accepting of the lgbt community.

    While I'm all for LGBT'S and the Pride March, I find it ironic that one group was carrying a banner that said "There are no queer friendly cops" and marching shortly after them was the NYPD in support of the Pride March. Am I misunderstanding the meaning of the banner?

    • @elaustraliano
      @elaustraliano  7 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      The only thing that really communicates is that within the LGBT population there is a diversity of opinion about a range of issues. As you noted, that was "one group" and in no way reflected the general mood of the parade. The general response to the police was positive and supportive.
