  • How to get your tires black, what is the best tire dressing. I tried the Carpro Cquartz Blackout tire treatment and was quite impressed. It was very easy to apply using the included applicator. I bought the 50ml bottle and that was enough to do two coats on the Tesla model Y 19 inch wheels and still had some to spare.

The way you clean your tires and other things on your cars are 👌🏽

It takes time, and I have to admit sometimes I'm a bit too busy to do it, but when I can detail my cars I love it !!!

Can you layer Darkside over Blackout as a sacrificial coating much like you can with paint nano sealants?

That I'm not sure. You could always try it, as its just a tire and see how the coating bonds (if it does). Maybe do one wheel and see. I would be interested if you try it and it works out. Let me know. Thanks

For my tastes, The 303 protectant does everything I want. Thanks for the review, but this stuff seems overrated and overly expensive.

Hey there and thanks for the comment. I have used 303 and its really good, in fact I still have some left right now :) I wanted to try this stuff out as I got it on sale. It does work very well, no slinging off, and it does last, but yup, its not cheap. Hope you are enjoying your weekend :)

@@GarageKing Thanks! Yeah, There are dozens of these products made for the detailing crowd. I've tried a few but found them more trouble (Application) than they were worth. Perhaps others find them useful and that's great. I like the water-based stuff as research has shown tire manufacturers warn against using some other products that affect the rubber and cause issues with break-down. Have a great weekend also!

@@johng.4959 Yes you are correct, and I'm glad you know about the water based products as I just learned that a while ago. This product is water based which is good. What's going to be interesting is how hard it will be to put something over it. Eventually its going to wear out, and I'm wondering if I will have a film, or maybe it will just wear away? Not sure on that. Thanks for the follow up !!!

@@GarageKing Yup, Agree! Thanks for trying out new products! I appreciate the videos. It's not an easy job keeping cars looking good, always something to clean and protect!
