I use Adams tire and rubber cleaner. I have it in a few gallons and it’s a great product. I also have their wheel and tire cleaner but honestly I don’t like to put that on the wheels it is a little harsh for the wheels. You have to be quick and do one wheel and tire at a time.Your comparison of the Turtle 🐢 wax and the Car Pro is great✊The Turtle wax is a better price point.Always a great video Brian ✊
I enjoy CarPro products, but I'll take a pass on this one. I've been having good luck with Nanoskin non acid wheel and tire cleaner at 4:1 down to 8:1 in a foaming pump sprayer. Costs about $20/gal... ReTyre would cost me 20 times that.
Used this today for the first time on my toyo open country tires on my Tacoma..Holy cow this product worked beautifully!! the tires have never been cleaner. When it came time to dress them with Pearl, it went on incredible even. Best results i have ever seen on my tires. Will definitely be using going forward as a maintenance as needed!! Carpro for the win!
This test was really fun to watch. I love CarPro products but the price difference is to much for me. Personally Meguiars non acid wheel cleaner seems to remove more browning than degreasers and apc for me. Adams makes a great wheel and tire cleaner too. Gyeon makes a nice rubber cleaner but it is pricey too.
I have used an APC, Brake Buster and Adams Rubber Cleaner. They all seem to be eq equivalent. Each cleaning is followed by a quick wipe down with orderless mineral spirits.
Good test that. Honest as always. My personal choice is Bilt Hamber Surfex HD at 8:1 sprayed on, then straight away about 6 sprays of Gyeon tyre / rubber cleaner. Cuts through everything with a Detail Factory tyre brush agitation. Rinse and done. I'm not a huge fan of any dressings, although I do a satin finish dressing sometimes...old school Zaino 16 for the win!
They are both comparable I would probably buy the turtle wax one and just use a wheel brush like you did I think the foam was better on the turtle wax 😊thanks Brian
I have this in my collection and because of how strong it is I only use it when my tires are legitimately dirty where a quality tire cleaner is truely needed. For maintence cleanings I use 303 tire cleaner or my Gyeon Tire cleaner. The foaming sprayer uses more product but there's no denying the results👍👍 Retyre is my favorite tire cleaner right now👈
Great video, Brian. It appears as though agitation is the key to good tire cleaning. I've used products from Gyeon and 303 and they both do an excellent job. Keep up the great work.
I love ReTyre for the rubber on the tire. My go to however is Brake Buster unless it is really dirty. Really dirty tires and wheels I use ReTyre and KCx Magic Wheel Cleaner or NV Purge.
Black magic tire cleaner is single handed the best tire cleaner on the market and can’t beat the price either. It’s a product that’s been out for years and years. Never fails
Honestly if I had to use the amount you used, I would be out of a business. Hence APC and a short brushing and I am happy. This is of course targeted at the consumer and pro detailers have their own setups.
My tires are so coated it will take a little muscle to clean off. So far CarPro is doing its job. It works better if you spray on your brush then scrub like a soldier. 👍🏾
I've been testing tire cleaners for years now. For some reason I just keep going back to Adams tire and wheel. It just cleans those tire's in one fell swoop. I have started testing on P&S Undressed. So far it cleans well and has off label uses. That I like 👍great video as always Brian.
Looks like it works well but for $18 for a fairly small bottle it would have to do something pretty special. I've tried probably close to 10 different wheel cleaners but keep coming back to Meguiars hot rims wheel and tire cleaner in the pink bottle. It works amazingly well and is only $5 for a 24oz bottle. Ever tried it?
The Car Pro was very expensive and not having an iron remover component makes it a no go for me. The recent Turtle Wax products are pretty impressive. For cars that are well maintained i really like P&S Breakbuster 50/50 out of the foam lance on the wheels and tires. Then undiluted if another round is needed on the tires. For really dirty and decontamination/ iron removal i use koch chemie magic wheel cleaner or Ethos wheel cleaner 2 in 1 iron decon. Then every fourth wash use the iron burn. If you buy by the gallon when there on sale you can save quite a bit.
Another great video sir! Thank you. I currently enjoy Optimum Power Clean 5:1 for the grimy jobs or just N-914 for the light maintenance jobs. Keeps my chemical inventory low and uncomplicated. I have wheel acid on-hand too but I try not to reach for that unless badly needed.
I really like Adams wheel and tire cleaner. It has done well for me with minimal agitation to move quickly around a car. Although after seeing this test, I may give the turtle wax product a try. At $4, it worth a shot
Retyre requires agitation. It clearly states that in the directions. It does the job it was intended for. Cheaper products that have similar results is a valid point, and is why TH-cam reviews are so necessary and appreciated.
I usually use Super Clean 3:1 but that TW looks like it does a great job! I also use Adams Tire and Rubber Cleaner and it works good too. the Retyre looks good but the TW killing it for the price too.
My go to is Eagle One AtoZ tire cleaner over Brake Buster for deep cleaning the tires. On most tires, Eagle One penetrates and removes the grime to leave a real clean surface. Just haven’t found something to fully cut the last layer of dressing on Michelin Pilot Sport All Season tires. Anyone else struggle getting old Perl 1:1 off Michelin tires?
Cleaning without agitation isn't a realistic use for this product, but it was interesting to watch. With agitation it performed great but since I never let my tires get that bad I'll stick to Adams Wheel and Tire cleaner in a foam cannon.
Nice video Brian. Never cleaned a wheel without agitation (takes 10 seconds). TW product is a much better "value". Still loving P&S Break Buster with IK Foamer. 👍🏻👍🏻 Wheels & tires coming clean with 1 step & 1 product. GGG 😎
I like the no scrub tire cleaners.i,m 63.by the time i,m done washing my ram, once with ethos foam ,rinse ,then ethos ceramic shampoo ( both with a foam canon) and a dry my back is saying'" enough" .i hit the tires pre wash, hit them again with foam party.then a apc rinse i,m done ...i like the new Maguiars insane tire foam and shine .good stuff ,cheap 1 can does many many jobs.not lazy ...just older.i will wooly the rims sometimes though if my back allows.30 yrs in construction as a electrician lucky to do any of this ...not looking forward to the spring polish black paint.ugghh.
Thank you for your informative videos. If you had to pick a product line (brand) for your interior and exterior detailing needs what 3 brands would you choose?
Unfortunately in U.K we don’t have the turtle wax wheel and tire cleaner , here it’s called wheel cleaner in a silver bottle but I haven’t tried it yet so I’ll try it to see if it works on tyres aswell
Another great video Brian. Have you tried the P&S Undressed tire prep yet? I’ve been wanting to try it but just haven’t pulled the trigger on it yet. It is supposed to be similar to the TW product and can be bought for around 18.00 per gallon.
It seems like ReTyre is a hand-in-hand product with Blackout and Multi-X. Use the Multi-X to degrease the tire, ReTyre to make sure everything is off and prep the tire, and BlackOut to seal it all in. Would agree that as a general wheel maintenance product ReTyre is overpriced however.
Seems like a swing and miss for CarPro this time, at least on the price point. Seems like you would have to go through a fair bit of it to do all 4 tires, so if you're buying a new bottle every 3rd time you do it...I could be way off there, maybe if you have a minute Brian let us know roughly how much of the bottle it took. But regardless it seems like there are many alternatives that are just as good for far less dough.
Turtle wax is dead cheap in the US and carpro is imported so it's normal. I always watch the channel, but as shown in another channel retyre is really impressive with agitation as key for it's performance.
TW proving again they know their stuff. At this point i think a man could get by using only TW products. Love their ceramic hybrid line. I stopped looking for other waxes/sprays when i tried them.
$18 vs $4 dollar bottle for a tire cleaner. I will take the $4.00 turtle wax wheel cleaner all day any day. And its the most financially responsible buy for a detailing business.
I love carpro products but this looks pretty disappointing. Definitely not worth the higher price. Glad I saw this before ordering any. And I think my hand would fall off trying to clean 4 tires with that sprayer
What is your favorite tire/rubber cleaner?
Dura-Coating tire cleaner and from the ones shown Turtle Wax
I like P&S brake buster and super clean together for my tire cleaner
I use Adams tire and rubber cleaner. I have it in a few gallons and it’s a great product. I also have their wheel and tire cleaner but honestly I don’t like to put that on the wheels it is a little harsh for the wheels. You have to be quick and do one wheel and tire at a time.Your comparison of the Turtle 🐢 wax and the Car Pro is great✊The Turtle wax is a better price point.Always a great video Brian ✊

Meguiars hot rims wheel and tire cleaner in the pink bottle

When it came time to dress them with Pearl, it went on incredible even. Best results i have ever seen on my tires. Will definitely be using going forward as a maintenance as needed!! Carpro for the win!
If I’m going expensive, I’m going McKees Rejuvenator every time. It’s good enough to be worth the money. Otherwise I’ll stick with APC. Thanks B! 👍
Your honesty is what has kept me watching ! Thanks
Great video Brian, one of my favorites is Adam's tire and rubber cleaner, it just straight up works without any fuss!! 👍🇨🇦
Full strength Super Clean. Foamer sprayer. It's pretty inexpensive and does good job.
I love the new Hybrid Turtle 🐢 Wax foam wheel and tires cleaner that is what I am using right now. Thanks Brian for sharing this with us.
I think the part everyone misses is how well the tire takes the dressing after being cleaned.
I have used an APC, Brake Buster and Adams Rubber Cleaner. They all seem to be eq equivalent. Each cleaning is followed by a quick wipe down with orderless mineral spirits.
Appears another benefit of TW is it's for wheels too.

Retyre is my favorite tire cleaner right now👈
Retyre and the kind of brush matters too. Car craft auto detail did one on retyre also and said it was one of the best
Great review, love the video
I use Bilt Hamber Surfex HD at 10:1. If it’s really bad, 4:1. It’s cheaper, works and does the same thing
Great video, Brian. It appears as though agitation is the key to good tire cleaning. I've used products from Gyeon and 303 and they both do an excellent job. Keep up the great work.
Exactly. As shown in another channel, retyre excels in it's category with a little agitation
Never fails
I use Black Magic Bleche-white works well for me
Adams wheel and tire cleaner FTW!!
Honestly if I had to use the amount you used, I would be out of a business. Hence APC and a short brushing and I am happy. This is of course targeted at the consumer and pro detailers have their own setups.
It is a very very strong and effective product.... the price however I think is going to hold it back in the market.
My tires are so coated it will take a little muscle to clean off. So far CarPro is doing its job. It works better if you spray on your brush then scrub like a soldier. 👍🏾
Great video I use Turtle wax tire cleaner or just an APC mixed 50/50
I use Fireball wheel and tire cleaner, stuff is potent.
l use two Meguiars products depending on my mood. SuperDegreaser and Wheel & Tire Cleaner.
Both looked like they did fairly well with no agitation. I currently use Meguiars Non Acid Wheel Cleaner.
I use either Super Clean or Simple Green.
Great test Brian !....I don't think it's worth the price difference. Turtle Wax products are more readily available also.
I use this green bottle TW tire cleaner. It is an incredible value and works quite well.
I've been testing tire cleaners for years now. For some reason I just keep going back to Adams tire and wheel. It just cleans those tire's in one fell swoop. I have started testing on P&S Undressed. So far it cleans well and has off label uses. That I like 👍great video as always Brian.
I get a lot of tires w/ severe browning. So been thinking about Undressed but don’t want to buy a gallon. Looking forward to your test.
How has the undressed experience been?
@𝓐 𝓭 𝓰 undresses is good but unfortunately it doesn't have the many applications that Adam's does. I would choose Adam's over undressed.
The new dawn dishwashing spray works great on cleaning tires
Koch Chemie Green Star at 5:1 works for me at cleaning sidewalls.
Brake Buster and a bit of agitation and you are good to go .. and a gallon is a decent price :)
Thanks Brian. Turtle Wax if I was to choose. normally I use an APC to clean then one of your recommendations art deshine tyre coat
Thanks for the demonstration. I love Carpro but for a tire cleaner this is too pricey. Thanks for trying this so I can save my money 🍻
What about Bleche White? Had the best luck with that
Looks like it works well but for $18 for a fairly small bottle it would have to do something pretty special. I've tried probably close to 10 different wheel cleaners but keep coming back to Meguiars hot rims wheel and tire cleaner in the pink bottle. It works amazingly well and is only $5 for a 24oz bottle. Ever tried it?
Have you used the new turtle wax hybrid hyperfoam?
@@karlinwilliamson9329 I haven't. Is it any good?
@@RMassey86 I haven't either, but I saw some great videos on it. Thank you for answering too 😊
The Car Pro was very expensive and not having an iron remover component makes it a no go for me. The recent Turtle Wax products are pretty impressive. For cars that are well maintained i really like P&S Breakbuster 50/50 out of the foam lance on the wheels and tires. Then undiluted if another round is needed on the tires. A few wipes with Stoners Tar & Bug remover and you'll have the freshest rubber you could ask for, ready for a fresh coating
I’d to see the comparison between this turtle wax tire cleaner and their new hybrid solutions tire prep.
the last I used was the Armor All Tire Cleaner at around 5 bucks at Walmart.
Super clean on the cheap or Adams rubber cleaner if I want to spend some $
Retyre requires agitation. It clearly states that in the directions. It does the job it was intended for. Cheaper products that have similar results is a valid point, and is why TH-cam reviews are so necessary and appreciated.
I enjoyed this video!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great video!!!! my favorite is P&S Break Buster.
I usually use Super Clean 3:1 but that TW looks like it does a great job! I also use Adams Tire and Rubber Cleaner and it works good too. the Retyre looks good but the TW killing it for the price too.

Just haven’t found something to fully cut the last layer of dressing on Michelin Pilot Sport All Season tires. Anyone else struggle getting old Perl 1:1 off Michelin tires?
I've had good results with meguiars non acid wheel and tire cleaner. And at 1:1 dilution, the cost per once is way better than either of these.
I always use a short brissel brush to scrub my tires. It seems those longer brissels lose the torque you put into the scrubbing motion😉💡❗️
Pretty close? But I have to take the Turdle Wax. It's more accessible readily available in my area. Thank you for sharing this Brian!
Turtlewax gets My Vote in this Test!!
I like to use GP tire and wheel cleaner works great! Does a amazing job!
GGG 😎
Great video B!! Thanks!
Shoulda brushed the other tire with the turtle wax for a good comparison.
I use TW
TW for the overall win at $4. Can't wait till they come out with their coating for $10 for 8oz. 🙃

Turtle Wax is more bang for the buck, very important in m shop. Plus, it is made in the USA. I am currently using Brake Buster.
Seems expensive....but works well. TW would be my go to between the two.
Have you tried P&S undressed ? You can get a gallon for what retyre costs
IMHO TW actually smoked CPros... Wow!
Seems like a swing and miss for CarPro this time, at least on the price point. But regardless it seems like there are many alternatives that are just as good for far less dough.
Brian, what product would you recomend for cleaning the plasticfoot rails of a 2021 rdx? Thank you in advance.
Bang for the Buck I would go with the turtle wax. I think with a little scrubbing you may get the same results
Turtle 🐢, No Doubt !
With some agitation that small difference would disappear. Turtle wax really making a come last few years.
Well..think I will stick with Super Clean for now...
I fell for spent money on Adam's rubber cleaner others will do a good job as well
Turtle wax is dead cheap in the US and carpro is imported so it's normal.
I always watch the channel, but as shown in another channel retyre is really impressive with agitation as key for it's performance.
Apc all the way for tires
Close enough. Sorry, I like Car Pro. But not for me. I look at Turtle Wax products entirely different from the old wax days. Thanks for your reviews!
Koch chemie green star at 10:1 even cheaper then tw.
Adams Tire and Rubber
Clean with cheapest product gonna need to scrub ether way I just use megs none acid wheel cleaner or break buster
I wouldn’t spend the extra money on it. I do like using Adams wheel cleaner
0:00 to 0:13 What Brian drives to work for his daily graft.
I love carpro products but this looks pretty disappointing. Definitely not worth the higher price. Glad I saw this before ordering any. And I think my hand would fall off trying to clean 4 tires with that sprayer
I just don't like foaming sprayers, the product looks like you have to use more to get the same coverage.
Not much of a difference... I like Adams rubber/tire cleaner .
CHEAPEST AND MOST EFFECTIVE IS ALWAYS THE BEST
Looks to me like I'm buying Turtle Wax😁
Turtle wax for me.
the tires needed agitation to make this a real world experiment
Turtle Wax every time. I’ll save money and keep my money in the USA.
gyeon tyre cleaner for me. And in future it will be turtle wax...
