Compared to MXTX's other two novels which are longer and where the romance was carried out very slowly from the start (past to present time), SQQ and LBH's romance didn't have that opportunity. Maybe from LBH's side it already began in the early chapters but for SQQ to digest everything in one go and accept LBH, I think it's best if he's given at least 50 chapters to do it before they officially accept each other as lovers, sadly it's MXTX's first novel so that might be one of the reasons why it's rushed. Not gonna say there isn't love, I think there is, but they just needed more time to cultivate more of their feelings to each other so it'll be more realistic and beautiful like WangXian and HuaLian.
Exactly i felt so dissapointed reading the end it felt rushed af Shen quinqui didn't have any time to develop feelings for Binghe i was soo looking forward to seeing how the romance will develop like Wangxian but it didn't
