it's because they have ridiculous unfair demands at the workplace citing 'religious' beliefs. They take multiple breaks during working hours putting undue pressure on colleagues, they can't join work parties or eat food with the rest, they want special prayer rooms, special treatment. Most of them cover their faces so it's very disconcerting trying to speak to them. Always playing the victim card!

One of my friend who is an it manager was telling he hired two pakistani youths but daily they were asking time for prayers and wasting important time , and when Friday came they go to namaz and return on Monday only. He was having time with these guys. But where as Indians used to work almost non stop 28 hours when situation demands. BBC should study that also and in muslims ladies rarely goes out side for work.

The main reason is integration in British society, most of Pakistanis come to the UK and carry on living the desi life style, their kids grow up working in takeaways, hardly speak good English even if they are British born. There dreams are to built a massive house in Pakistan, buy a 2nd hand BMW, open a corner shop etc. Wishing Merry Christmas is haram to them and yet they claim benefits. Mosques are full of people yet most of them are boxed minded and know nothing about Islam or spirituality.

I have come from Pakistan after I got married I had a degree in Pakistan and I had to study here two years to top up and I am doing a very good job for the last nine years. My husband is working in a top company in London MashaAllah. In my experience and the families around, I have seen Pakistani woman sometime choose not to work. They want to stay at home. Cook food wear nice clothes and go out and about and do nothing about their career. I have seen a few women who were given chances to work, but they thought it’s too difficult. Staying at home doing nothing is better and their husbands were happy with that as well. I’ve seen a lot of Pakistani men as well who choose not to work so it’s not always racism. It’s our own peoples fault. They are basically lazy and not competitive. They can talk for hours about other peoples businesses, but will not do anything to make their own life better. They are living here like they are living in a village, with poor conditions.
They have come out of village, but village has not come out of them .

There are many reasons other than what has been highlighted. I came here as a student and went to the top institutions here and worked in higher education sector for more than twenty years. My work was mostly contractual and whenever I tried to apply for a permanent position, it was denied. I have Masters and a PhD with an illustrious background in art and design. Many of my students (all white) now heading the institutions, departments and programmes. I have now opened my own institution/School of Miniature Painting and my own studio and have decided not to apply for any job in my adopted country. I have lived here more than I lived in my country of origin. I have lived in predominantly white areas and have diverse group of friends. I have a name which is obviously a Muslim name and I also have certain looks. There is definitely racism and discrimination against women of colour. I may be wrong but this my thirty two years of experience. I love 🇬🇧

Nobody wants to change anyone's religion,it is always personal, but they make mini Pakistan with ghetto living.....not participating socially in the main stream to built contacts, the word of mouth in job situations is important also. The women folk staying home, not adding to family income, just depend on social security comfort zone. Main reason i have observed here is-
1 Pakistani people who are already settled here in UK don't help their fellow new pakistani.. Infact we Indian people help new pakistani.. We helped alot of them to find job, to get into university, to get an apartment, etc.. But after some time when they got settled down they forget about help we did to them..thats fine but they also don't help new pakistani coming.. The cycle is endless
2 They don't integrate into new society culture. They bring baggage of their own culture in this country. Although its fine to proud of your culture but you should learn the culture wherever you go.. And don't force your culture to them.
3 They always bring religion conversation into everything. And always eager to invite or Convert others to islam. Its only Pakistani Muslim who do this. I have many Arab muslim friend but they never bring religion into conversation.
4 Language barriers..Most of them are not good at english.
    5. They want to find quick money job. They don't focus on studies. They spend their money to buy IPhones and unnecessary europe trips.
6 They even hesitate to wish mary Christmas or Happy Diwali to others.. they aren't able to make friends from different group of culture. They only have friends from their own community only.

When people put religion above education, integration, local culture and hard work- they are likely to fail in finding a proper job
It will interesting to find how many Pakistanis are on benefits compared to people from other countries- comparison
Generally integrating with local communities is a challenge and if there is a language barrier it becomes more difficult
The ghetto system prevails in U.K., where people from certain communities stay together and it effects integration
Another problem is if the immigrants hate local cultures and still want to stay in U.K. and follow practices of their homeland- it will make them feel uncomfortable
Pakistanis should not play victim card, if they want to progress in western societies. In case there is a decline in economic growth, the first casualty will be immigrants
Education, learning local languages and culture and integration is the key for progress

I came in this country 5 years ago, since last two years working in DWP. First couple of years were absolute struggle. I was working as a branch operations manager in Pakistan and here I had to start from scratch. I think first struggle was the language as we usually speak Queens English in Pakistan whereas if you come in north, you encounter a different dialect that sounds bit different.
In my opinion, big problem with Pakistani community is 1) we don't support fellow Pakistanis 2) no urge to grow, someone working in takeaways or factories or taxies, they still want to do the same 3) not enough support from Pakistani community. In fact, when you come here, people try exploiting you because you can trust them easily. 4) lack of confidence 5) massive problem is we cannot eat haram/drinks, whereas most of the friendships at workplace happens in pubs.

British Indians whilst they too have their problems are the highest earning group in the UK out earning all other groups. In addition to this they also have the most wealth being richer than all other groups. The office of national statistics can demonstrate this not to mention all the other articles online.
There are many challenges again in British Indian communities. Some integrate well. Some are living as if they are still in India. Some are good people. Some are poor mannered and I’ll-disciplined. And like British Pakistanis, British Indians are very diverse. They have Hindus, Sikhs, Muslims, Christian’s, Paris’s etc from all over India from Gujarat, to Punjab, to Haryana, to Kerela, Tamil Nado, Bombay and Goa.
The Indian values of hard work, sacrifice, tolerance, saving and investing, not complaining and claiming victimhood and not ever relying on the welfare state has led to its success. Of course there are individual cases that say otherwise however as a collective they do not do this.
Many came to the UK not directly from India and settled first in east Africa.
An Indian will save his or her penny’s, buy a home and then think about having a nice car and other material goods. The family set up, social values are very similar to British Pakistanis.
The family break up rate in Pakistani culture, many divorces and unstable homes, dependency on the welfare state rather than the wife finding some work and having more children they cannot afford have contributed to this. Many young boys are trying to behave like gangsters adopting a culture that is not theirs rather than doing their duty towards their parents, siblings and others. In addition to this the claim of victimhood and racism doesn’t help. They sometimes perceive racism when it is not there.
Any person who will succeed will do so irrespective of prejudice.
Hard work, smart thinking and being respectful will take you along way. Something I learnt from my well to do British Pakistani friends 🙏

England is filled with mass migration. It was never like this when I was growing up in the 70s and 80s. There were fewer people, and they were being taken care off very well. Crime was absolutely low. Since mass migration began in 1994, more people have become homeless, and there are more beggars on the street. Refugees complain that they don’t want to be in BIBBY, but if you put any homeless person there, they would not complain at all. I believe that anyone who came after 1994 and subsequently obtained a passport after the year 2000 should not receive any benefits. They should pay for school and NHS, National minimum wage should not apply to them unless they prove "OTHERWISE".

      1. See recent story, last week in Dawn newspaper: 15 beggars were offloaded from planes going to KSA. They even got visas legally!
      2. Dubai police chief tweeted that Pakistanis in UAE have highest number of criminals and beggars and do-numbri people including drug smugglers.
      3. Highest number of people executed every year in KSA are Pakistanis.
      Can give even more examples.
