    Thank you so much for showing the bolts and the process. I'm learning all this and this detail makes all the difference to me! Awesome job!

    Don’t forget to drill ventilation holes to keep your mattress from getting moldy. What I’ve seen others do is drill the holes and then router the edges to protect fingers.

      Interesting, thanks for the tip. I had not thought about it holding moisture, but it has definitely been an issue in our travel trailers and RV's

      Yes it is a must !!! mattresses hold moisture from ur body, if u don't place holes for ventilation u will absolutely have mold !!!

    Pretty cool and inexpensive. I made my bed removable too. I used e-track with rivnuts for the sides. I heard a lot of people use plus nuts because there easier. I have thought about making the bed platform into a ramp for a duel purpose.

    Question, which promaster is this. The 1500 if so how much headroom do you have when sitting in the bed?

  • @perrymason8471
    @perrymason8471 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey there, I wanted to know if I could throw any old spring twin mattress in the promaster the same orientation? Obviously would be giving up some back room.

    • @thefreezedryingcommunity

      Not sure. It all depends on the measurements of the mattress

    What size are the cleats

  • @alohahoward1
    @alohahoward1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    What is the size of the mattress, I''m 6' 1/2" and I'm concerned that sleeping width wise in the van may be a little short. We are planning to get the Promaster 136" wheel base so perhaps sleeping length wise in the van would be better.

    • @thefreezedryingcommunity
      @thefreezedryingcommunity  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It would really depend on your sleeping position, but I would probably sleep length in the van at your height.

    I have question about free space behind seats... Can you measure the distance between back doors and your second row of seats? It's kinda hard to find that data and I'm looking for version originally with 2 rows cause in PL it's nearly impossible to legalize car registered as 3 seeter to 5 and more.

    • @thefreezedryingcommunity

  • @brickboiler

    Are you happy with the bed height? I have a low top 118 too and I can't decide if I want to maximize the space above or below the bed in my build.

    • @thefreezedryingcommunity
      @thefreezedryingcommunity  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could definitely go higher, but you would need a ladder or step up. I like the height its at for my purposes, but you could get some more room out of it if it were higher.
