That pump looks familiar after just doing a cam in my 15 silverado, very easy to play with for something that has 2000+ psi going through, but super easy to swap out
Word to those DIY'ers for this project where the manifold, blower, etc is off. Always cover the intakes with tape. You don't want something getting dropped down into them.
I’m curious. Who’s tuning your car once Cunningham Motorsports moves to Texas in mid August? Ryne recommended that I go to Addiction Motorsports in Simi Valley for the custom stage 3 cam, heads and supporting mods I picked up from them a few days ago. He said that him and the tuner Eddie over there are very close friends and share tune files and such. Have an appointment made to get tuned and parts installed later this month.
LethalGarage Ryne knows his stuff for sure. Glad he had a shop to recommend. Will be going there for future mods. It’s sad they are moving to Texas though
My fuel pump just broke today! I would like to know if I buy a new one, replacing it would be the same procedure that they do in the video, right? I have a 2016 SS
Do they still recommend that check valve in the line? Saw cleetus had an issue with his in his corvette and said the newer vettes and camaros did away with it.
Mathew please question? Is there in the gen6 SS Fuel regulator? Or it the GDI pump itself attaches with regulator ? Is there any another regulator in the fuel system?
Dan O'Neill I just swapped my cam on my 15 silverado with the 5.3 with 68k on the clock, valves were fairly gummed up because I installed a catch can about 10k ago, but not as terrible as I feared
I traded my 2014 V6 chevy truck for a 18 , 5.3 chevy . I had 30,000 miles & they said it would be good to do a clean intake Serv & oil change , they gave me a good price on the trade & I get the same MPG out of the V8 with more power .
@@Highlander1432 who puts in high flow high side pump and doesn’t replace pistons and rods? I mean for the cost of dropping Pistons it makes zero sense..
@Lethalgarage IMO it's an example of someone overengineering a car. I have a supercharged 16 SS but I know if I wanted big #'s it would have been more cost effective/less headache to just have gotten a ZL1. What kind of labor rates are y'all seeing for upgrading pistons and rods ?

Great advise! Takes but a minute and can save you thousands of dollars and days of labour if something drops in there unnoticed. Why risk it?
While good, not always needed.
You don't have to take Tylenol when you have a headache. But it helps.

Addiction is the only other place in CA I would point people too. But I plan to still have Ryne do my tunes.

Pretty soon no speed shops will be in CA, they will not be able to afford the CARB fines.
Move to Texas lol
LethalGarage that will be a sad day
Do you have to check lash or preload?
Have a feeling I’m going to watching this how to very soon 😬
Did you have to align the camshaft before installing it?
Great video Matt n Mike

It should be, but should always check the depth and spacing.

Can you run a LT4 hpfp on stock LT1 injectors or do you also need to swap out the LT1 injectors for LT4 ones
You need both because the lt1 injectors are smaller and the lt4 pump
Pushed out way more fuel
Hey can someone please answer, in what order does the gasket and metal plate go in? What order did it come off? For the stock pump
Mathew please question?

Did you replace the high pressure lines or just reuse yours?
Thanks RE: DI carbon build up , any thoughts on your miles VS carbon build up on valves ??

My valves are clean at 22k miles
I heard if you hit the gas hard it will shock the carbon off........ I think you got that covered !! Thanks !!
If the high pressure pump goes out does it destroy the fuel injectors?
Not injectors but pistons and valve seats from fuel starvation reason
What are you using for your low side? So you just used the lingenfelter hpfp v2 with High flow LT4s? to get to 800?
DSX low side and a LT4 drop in pump.

Hello There! :)
Very good my bro keep up and love video 💯
Why did you not explain the lash cap?
Dam it!!!! I'm searching everywhere for a non plunger type di pump. I want a gear drive pump to take the resistance off the cams.
Really cool !
Is it possible to install the red ZL1 seatbealts on the SS?
It is.
How can I get a lethal Camero shirt and cap?
As soon as I get them back in stock www.lethalgarage.com
Time for twin turbos
Wow the man was just juggling nuts and bolts on top of open Engine wow He probably wouldn’t they did that if that was his car
2800k $ for big bore pump 😅 this is hilarious
It’s even more now
@@Lethalgarage 2995$ Hollyshit for that price i have whole camshaft stage 3 packet with timing chain

Not worth it
Pistons can't even handle 600 whp reliably
