Thank you! Fortunately, my fuel system has never been an issue. It's always performed great. Wish I could say the same about the $10k Texas Speed short block I got ripped off on.
Yes anytime you change a cam it’s a good idea to check lash and preload. Every cam is different or can be. Best to be safe. Those HPFPs are expensive and crucial for fuel delivery to get proper travel and preload. So yes check lash.
Brice thank you so much buddy I try to just make them straight to the point, no fancy music and editing. Really just one gear head trying to help another. This made my day thanks again!
I finally have my car running finished last night going to work some tuning and bugs out then I should have some GoPro vids of her ripping out! I also plan on doing a couple videos on a custom oil cooler and a new Procharger Air to Water setup which I already have all the parts for. So fun stuff coming!
I have a 2015 Denali 6.2 and I installed the lsxcelleration 2.1 with the 14% fuel lobe. I didn’t install a lash cap. I’ve been trying to figure out why it doesn’t idle right. It sometimes does but sometimes idle real rough shaking the truck and hard on the transmission because it’s so bad. The tank pump is 47-70 psi and the high pressure pump is about 775psi idling. It smooths out even I loosen the gas cap. It’s these pressures correct? Thanks
Hi, so if you have a GenV LT4 it will come with a lash cap stock on the HPFP. But if you don't have one you can get a spring kit with lash cap here > www.lsxceleration.com/comp-cams-gm-gen-v-lt-fuel-pump-spring-and-lash-cap-kit-5464/ OR just get a lash cap here > jannettyracing.com/products/lt1-lt4-fuel-pump-lash-cap. My buddy FYREANT also did a nice writeup on the corvetteforum here > www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c7-tech-performance/4004454-how-to-installing-a-fuel-pump-lash-cap-in-an-lt1-and-checking-for-proper-clearances.html
@@MichaelBrownPlus I bought the LT4 HPFP and it has the lash cap but I'm not sure what thickness that is? Are you running the stock one or an aftermarket one?
@@akjake7 stock one. So you want to check tolerances like in the video if you turn it over and you see the pump lift up you went too far. All depends on the cam fuel lobe etc. Just make sure when you turn the engine over it doesn't lift the HPFP up, in fact, there should be some play you never want to bottom out the fuel pump. Sure you know that.
Awesome Mike ,you're definitely on your game Brother, HeLL yeah

I purchased a Lingenfelter fuel pump for LT1 with a +32 lobe TSP Blower cam. Still waiting on parts but curious if i have to lash the pump or not

2015 suburban 5.3 l83 btr stage 2 cam?
Alright so I'm about to run the BTR stage 2 cam shaft with 38% and the LT4 HPFP. Where do you reccomend that I order a lash cap from if needed?
