Another thing when deleting AFM on the LT motor that is very important and very critical step that could make or break your build if not followed correctly. Thank you for making this video guys.
Haha we are working on it! Thanks for watching along. Wish this was a full time thing for Pete and I but it is one of multiple side hustles we both have in addition to our full times so it definitely is a slow process. Working on getting someone else on board to help us with the editing to speed up the process so hopefully we can start getting a couple videos out each week soon! Don't want to rush the quality tho
Man, ive been waiting some time now to see you install and run this motor, I am currently doing the same dod delete just with a btr stage 2 cam, I would like to see and hear what yours sounds like and puts down for power. Just dont want to wait a month and a half to find out.
With filming and editing it is going to be a little while for the videos to come up. This was a massive project and Pete and I both work full time with this being a one of several side hustles for both of us. We wish it was something we could do full time but we aren't there yet. Shoot us a message on Instagram and we can talk about the project tho 👍
@@TheSundaeDrive thanks seems like every speed shop I called in my area said remove lash cap and just tighten it down accordingly torque down and I should be fine
I would go with what they say then. Always a good idea to talk to the cam manufacturer as well. I haven't done the upgrade myself on an lt1 so I'm not sure. The main thing is you want to make sure you don't bottom out the fuel pump and you also don't lose contact with the fuel lobe
You should be able to pull it off. It normally doesn't fit as tightly as the one in this video. If you have an issue, it's easy to swap the roller lifter. I installed another cap on a different 5.3 and it popped right on easily.

Thanks! We are trying to make sure we don't leave anything out. Appreciate the feedback!

Thanks!
How about a tutorial on the man-daid, and the proper way to apply it.
I prefer to use a 1/2" Milwaukee impact to test

How do you determine how much extra is need on the fuel lobe? For example if I order stage 3 TSP Cam what should the lobe plus amount be?
What if I'm doing a lt4 pump in a LT1 car do I still need to check for that clearance no lash cap
I'm not positive, I think it has more to do with the camshaft but I would double check with someone like gwatney performance or Texas speed.

Did you torque down the hpfp? If so how many Ft pounds?
We have a full install guide for the hpfp on the channel which has the torque specs :)
@@TheSundaeDrive which video is it?
If I need to change the lash cap, how do you remove it and is there a tool for installing a different one?

When reinstalling the high pressure pump is it necessary to replace that gasket and do you have a part number ?
+Manuel Robles we reused the gasket but it is fairly new since we also replaced the fuel pump last year
Is that a stock 5.3 hpfp or a Lt4 hpfp
Next time can you do a video on Cliff's haircut?
😂😂
Do you delete the spring on fuel pump?
I did not.
What if I got a cam with no modified fuel lobe do I still have to do this
I would verify with the cam manufacturer to be sure
What .60 was enough for me
