I nominate this for the Planetary Anthem of Earth.
Yay
Xavier Hughes Yeah, but muslims are going to be quite pissed off
Dry Bonfa and every other religion that isn't christianity...like dude. There are six billion people who don't worship this god.
let's say 4.8 billion. Anyways, that was the point: it is exageratly evident it is talking about a certain "father" and not "the father of the whole of humanity" so yeah, it wouldn't be the best choice.
No. a "Planetary Anthem" must be about something that unifies us. Religion doesn't live to that standard.
I'm Tanzanian, and i love that they used our East African language "Swahili language".
For those who don't understand Swahili.
"Baba yetu" means "Our Father".
Similar to Xhosa and Zulu
@@somilabiko1641 I think so
@Kenn I agree with you bro, we need to use our own language instead of colonial languages.
Ha! I live in China. “Father” in Chinese is “爸爸” or “baba”.
In Zulu is Baba wethu
🇹🇿🇹🇿🇹🇿 this is Swahili.. I'm really proud of my language.. I love my country, Tanzania.
It is so so beautiful.
I'm from Scotland this is so beautiful
And I love Tanzania.
Sounds great ! What does it say?
탄자니아의 돌아가신 전 대통령님은 정말 너무나 훌륭하고 멋진 분이었습니다. ㅡ한국에서
Baba yetu uliye mbinguni
Jina lako we litukuzwe
Utupe leo chakula chetu tunachohitaji
Utusamehe makosa yetu
Kama nasi tunavyo wasamehe walio tukosea
Usitutie katika majaribu
Lakini utuokoe na yule muovu milele
Our Father who at in heaven
Holy be your name
Give us today our daily bread
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespasses against us
Deliver us from sin........
Amen 🙏
Thank you for the Swahili words and the translation! Bless you!
Baba yetu, yetu uliye (Our, our Father who are)
Mbinguni yetu, yetu, amina (In heaven, our, our, amen)
Baba yetu, yetu, uliye (Our, our Father, who are)
Jina lako litukuzwe (Let's glorify your name)
Baba yetu, yetu uliye (Our, our Father who are)
Mbinguni yetu, yetu, amina (In heaven, our, our, amen)
Baba yetu, yetu, uliye (Our, our Father, who are)
Jina lako litukuzwe (Let's glorify your name)
Utupe leo chakula chetu (Give us today our food)
Tunachohitaji utusamehe (We need you to forgive us)
Makosa yetu, hey (Our errors, hey)
Kama nasi tunavyowasamehe (As we do forgive those)
Waliotukosea, usitutie (Who did us wrong, don't put us)
Katika majaribu, lakini (Into trials, but)
Utuokoe, na yule, milele na milele (Save us, with him, for ever and ever)

As always, we humans will eventually overcome suffering. May the Corona 19 end as soon as possible and peace will come to the world. A boy in Korea wishes all the people of the planet a blessing.
Thank you Korean boy. Stay Blessed👼
And we wish the Korean Brother Peace and Health in the new Year, as well...
God bless
We can use more people like you. Wishing the best for ALL mankind. No wish for a nice house, job, car or anything else selfish. No. A wish that we WILL overcome the COVID-19 pandemic. If everyone would be just like you, not only the pande,ic would be more bearable, but there might be peace among us humans....

Beautiful song, wonderful vocals. Am from Kenya, a Swahili speaking National. Thank you for lifting God's name in a prayer song!
God bless you! ❤
I really want to understand and sing this song without translators
so I started studying Swahili
Not very easy but it's really really nice when I learn words that appear in this song.
baba = father
yetu = our
jina lako = your name
I didn't understand a single word of the song, but the strength of his voice and combination of the choirs.. Wow! Gave me goosebumps
+Andrey Lavrov It's the Lords Prayer word for word!!
+Alex Boye thank you for clearing that out for me, it should have been common sense..
You sure do take some of these songs to the next level! Wonderful!
Here is the Swahili /// English translation to the beginning of the song. It makes it that much more meaningful to me to know what they're saying!
Baba yetu, yetu uliye Mbinguni yetu, yetu, amina /// Our Father, who art in Heaven. Amen!
Baba yetu, yetu, uliye M jina lako e litukuzwe /// Our Father, hallowed be thy name.
Utupe leo chakula chetu /// Give us this day our daily bread
+Andrey Lavrov It says it's the Lord's Prayer in the title.
+Andrey Lavrov Honestly, look up the original. It'll give you chills.
Africa is grand. Africa feels like home for everybody.

Africa is home indeed. There is no other place I'd rather be. Mungu ibariki Afrika.

Blesse be you my brother/sister ✝️🙏🏻 one day we will all sing together
It is such a beautiful language. It just seems to flow with such poetic rhythm.
Swahili is originally Tanzanian language and the funniest thing is some other African nations claim to be their own language.if you have your own language own it and be proud
@@dwaynetheodore9651 It's actually originally from the Arabic peoples interacting with people on the east coast of Africa from Tanzania to Kenya. It's both of your languages.
I don't understand this language but this is musically, spiritually beautiful rendition of Lord's prayer. My Lord, Jesus Christ is worshipped here. Amen.
It's swahili
Our Lord brother, the saviour Christ.
And keep in mind, this song was created for a video game, so if anyone tries to tell you that video games are satanic or other such nonsense, you can tell them that some games have beautiful music like this.

This should be sent to space on a gold disc. It makes me cry it's so incredible. I'm not religious but I believe firmly that there is power in a good human collective.
Jesus is not religious either. Man made religion.
Well said Liam.
god is the collective.... not just human. Baba Yetu my brotha
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Good human collective? Sounds complicated, just find Christ bro:)
Daniel saw one who was like a Son of Man. He was given great authority. And people of all nations and languages worshipped Him. Hearing sings like this and seeing videos like this, fills me with peace and joy. That vision is has come true!
I am an agnostic. But the power of faith - for good, for evil - will always awe me.
Didn't understand a word but loved every single word.❤️
It's the Lords prayer # Our father in heaven...in swahili
Its basically the lords prayer sung in swahili language
They have gathered to give worship to the Holy Tree
Take your bible out from its dusty corner 😉 you'll find the "Lords prayer" on Matthew 6, verse 9-13. The Bible is super convenient: You'll find it in almost every language in the same book, same chapter same verses. Go for it! God is good!
Jonothan Doezer : I dont hope so. Anyway they speek the words of true.
I'm an agnostic. I have trouble rationalizing some of God's actions in the Old Testament. But when I listen to this song... part of me has hope that I can call myself a Christian again someday.
i will be praying for you.
That's assuming that God had anything at all to do with those events. We are relying on the written word of humans, who claim it is the word of God. People with strong feelings about things wrote the bible... not God. We don't truly know God, except what he echoes to us in our souls.
Jesus loves you so very much. I don't have all the answers; no one does. I pray that God will reveal Himself to you as the kind and loving Father He truly is.
inshaalah.
The music of Christianity is the only redeeming thing about the religion. Between Baba Yetu and Handel's Messiah... man... you can jettison the rest.
I physically cannot describe the feelings this song always inspires in me
You go girl 💅
Me too having goosebumps
that, my friend, is the authenticity of the spirit. The song is singing the Lords Prayer
I couldn't for years but then today I was listening to it and paging around the parts of the Bible about music and found this: "but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with all your heart, always and for everything giving thanks in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God the Father." Ephesians 5:18-20
It pretty much sums it up.
It's the Holy Spirit! Jesus is alive!
The Lord's Prayer, the theme song of Civilization IV, and the sound of Africa, my home continent. Beautiful!
I still remember launching Civ IV for the first time and getting rocked by this. Had to just sit there and absorb what I'd just heard. Then exit and do it again. Just such a stunningly beautiful piece of music.
Glad there's people who remembered Civ IV main theme
@@mycroft16 Yep, could not believe how good the intro music was, instant reload... also.. best Civ ever (controversial)
@@mycroft16 same, but over time i was disappointed by how USA centric the opening video was. civ should spread the love of all the playable cultures.

Africans and specifically Kenya Nad Tanzania hit likes if you feel proud of our one and only kiswahili language...... Baba yetu yetu... Simply means the lords prayer, our father who at in heaven
Every African should cherish their traditional language and culture! And learn English or French or some other language that is important to communicate to other countries so they can grow in the modern world. But never forget your own language! Swahili sounds absolutely wonderful.
From Kenya and can't stop being amazed to hear our language being sang out there, Kweli Baba yetu aliye mbinguni ni Mungu wa ajabu na Kwa hivyo nasi binadamu tuwe vile vile na mapenzi yake Mwenyezi Mungu.

I'm not religious in any sense of the word, but I can truly appreciate when songs are sung in someone's native tongue. Hearing this is just amazing.
Same here. And I love that it's so many nationalities together
It's beautiful because it's praise to God our Father in heaven with whom we all are created to worship. This is the Joy that all men shall seek but sadly few shall find. Know that Jesus is pleading for you to come to him in heaven. He sent his message to you in his death in the mortal flesh.

Tamra Armstrong Whoa... Hang on... I gotta write this down! Thank you! :)
That’s super interesting. “Tafadhali” is similar to Arabic with “tafaddal”, which can roughly mean “Go ahead” or is a gracious way to give permission. Like saying “Please, go ahead!” With proper context. I find this even more cool because Jesus likely preached in Aramaic, the early root language of Arabic. With the context of this Bible verse, one can kind of translate this from Arabic/Aramaic as giving permission- like “Please go then, pray like this....”

Praising the Lord in any language is wonderful the world needs to be praising him every moment of every day. Amen
Thanks for singing in our National language ❤️. Swahili is the national language of Kenya 🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪
It is the perfect song on the day of the terrorist attacks in Brussels. It made the lyrics come to life. Thank you
Amazing!!! Thank You, Lord!!! Hello from Kazakhstan, dear brothers and sisters in Christ!!!
Didn't understand a word, but it was so powerful that I cried...
Its a prayer "our father who is heaven....
swahili
And in just that lies the power of music
Our Lord's prayer sung in Swahili.
Yes
It feels like the planet Earth itself sings through them, Afterthought: God heard this and said: My children, I'm so proud of them
Yes.
There are some languages that just feel like they are a part of the Earth... connected to the things around them... plants, dirt, rocks. Swahili is one of those languages.
Christopher Tin's masterpiece covered by a talanted man and an amazing chorus. It's impossible to ruin Baba Yetu, but this is proof you can improve it.
Remember the music is composed by a Chinese American. Shows you that geniuses they cross cultural and ethnical boundaries.
I don't understand a word from the song because I'm a Nigerian. I love this with passion 💕. I've played it uncountable times.
God be praised.
I love Jesus.
It's the Lord's prayer in Swahili.
@@MaryanneMwiti thank you
And Jesus loves you back!
I am also Nigerian
Eu amo essa música não sei uma palavra que ele canta.porq sou brasileira só entendo português ☺️
In all languages..in all tongues...the Lord's praises sing.
Amen.
Thou we are many, WE ARE ONE BODY
IN CHRIST OUR KING who made us Kings
It amazes me how much impact a song from a video game can make and I love it
Video Game?
@@Mandycola03it was originally composed for Civilization IV, a video game! But it’s pretty much transcended that, and it’s a world renowned piece now. I think the composer even won a a Grammy for this piece, if I’m not mistaken
When we get chills hearing a language we don't know, as a tribute to our Lord, it's empowering.
Well done. 🙏⚜️🕯️🌹🦋
Its the our Father in Swahili
Yeah. I kinda gleaned that part.
It was a compliment.
Well done.🕯️⚜️🌹🦋
Bro I'm not joking, chills JUST washed over my arms all the way up to my shoulders while listening to the song and reading your comment.
ABSOLUTELY.................... The Holy Ghost has his own tongue. Praise God
Speaking in tongues...
Also, "its not what you said, but the way you said it."
"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a treasure, hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field." -Matthew 13:44
Amen
Oh that's what he was referencing. Nice catch!
@Klenovvy_Syrop when he pulled the trinket out of the field at the beginning
Thanks, at first I was so confused.
Glad to see everyone respects private property over here
Excelenttttttt. My Lord is a King of de Kings, and his people is for all the word. Baru hashen Adonai Elohenu. Bendito seas Dios del pueblo de Israel.
Jesus prayer model the greatest prayer in the world.
This moves me to tears because the image of humans standing together in a big circle singing and making music, this is how it was meant to be.
True
where’s the diversity of Gods lands and people? representative of this language?
@meerontbijtkoek yes! You worded this beautifully ✨
@meerontbijtkoek - Yes!! Because music and songs themselves are basically their own language! And the best part of all, is that: no matter who you are, where you live/where you are now, what you may have done in the past, or which country you came from, heck not even your native tongue (or, native language) is enough to stop music and songs from bringing people together. They are a beautiful part of our (Note: I'm using the term "our" collectively as in, "all of you other fellow humans out there".) histories and cultures. And, I have no doubt that any of us would be who we are if music and songs had never come into existence. Especially since the language of music and songs is universal!
Truly
Big up from Kenya....Perfect Swahili....That is a wonderful and beautiful song
We must protect Christopher Tin at all costs.
The living God has finally opened my eyes and I can see your invisible truth in the recordings! Repent, because Jesus is Lord and His grace is great for sincere converts! Baba Yetu is so fantastic!
If this song ever doesn't make me tear up bury me. It'll mean I'm dead.
lol
Kenyan🇰🇪🇰🇪 and felt proud to hear them sing the Lord's prayer in my national language. Their diction is on point.
Nene, I was part of this choir and we loved singing this song. I especially am happy to hear we got the diction right!
Amazingly we were taught that English was Kenya’s national language...lol...wink!
I think Kenya national language is English and Tanzania national language is Kiswahili
Lovely
Tasneem Mustaali its both in English and Swahili
Am from Kenya and i love to listen this song 🇰🇪❤️
Music Unites/ Music Unies How proud for taking pride in Kiswahili
