hello angel city chorale! is this piece available for purchase?
IM SO EXCITED.
i'm going!!!!!
Please come to Europe I want my heart and soul to be touched by your voices and music 😢
Lindo! Que emocionante!
Composed by an American of Asian descent, sang in an African language of a prayer from Palestine, with European musical instruments.
The real anthem of humanity.
And commissioned for a video game!!
BUT only in the USA could happen
@@DTwxrisk Uh, no. But thanks for proving American exceptionalism. The one reason everyone hates you :D
@@V0r4xiz @DT wxrisk is one bad apple. Don’t let him represent all of us. Most of us are pretty respectful, I promise!!
Watching this now, less than a year after we performed it, brought tears to my eyes. Seeing us singing together, holding hands, remembering the joy, makes me miss it all the more. But we will rise again! I love this song. I love my choir.
Its beautiful ...well done!! Xx
You all are beautiful!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🙏🙏
I feel that. I miss my choir soooo much, too!
What a beautiful performance - I feel truly lifted in a completely nonreligious way - the beauty of harmony between humans, realized by your choir. Fantastic. Wish I could send you all flowers.
💕
As a Swahili speaker am so proud and all pronunciations are on point... welcome to Tanzania 🇹🇿

Can you write the song for us? I am try to learn it❤
@@falldown7timesgetup867It's the Lord's prayer in Swahili.🙏🏾
This is how humanity is supposed to act on a global scale. Working together hand in hand, being fabulous, celebrating each others art, beauty and cultures.
Sin took many things from humanity including this! 😢😢
Absolutely, all worshiping the one true God with the words of Jesus' own Lord's Prayer. Beautiful!
Hahaha! Big nations have stolen the most important cultures!
Именно так! Пусть будет так во веки веков!
🎯
As a swahili speaker, pronunciation is on point...the soloist did an amazing job...love the extra sound effects. Great performance and production. Just 👌🏾
What a beautiful language 😍
I was just thinking the same thing! The diction is amazing!!
Quite impressive, I agree. The music is also a masterpiece.
I think it’s Kiswahili, Swahili is not one of our languages 😊
Either way as a kenyan with swahili as a native language their rendition was on point and done marvelously giving God the glory. Happy 2023
The choreography is amazing too…
I don't know what's happening with the world today, so I came here to remind myself God still exists
Amen. It gives me a sense of hope and the strength to carry on. There is still good in this world. Great and beautiful praise to God our Father…
Amen.
God has nothing to do with it. We humans are capable of great things and bad things. Stop giving a made up god credits
@@bad1082They’re literally singing “The Lord’s Prayer” so, maybe God does actually have something to with this one man.
@@danieltaron6159 Did "God" write the song or compose it? No, a talented person did. Give that person credit
Jimmer Bolden‘s voice is pure gold ❤️🏆❤️
I love this.. the man singing the solo is phenomenal
the best one. I liked him in another song as well.
His voice reminds me of the late James Earl Jones, very deep and rich xx
@@alisonturner1226 James Earl Jones is still alive.
@@TheWeirdestOfBugs oops now I feel silly, thanks hun, still think he sounds like him though 😊
@@alisonturner1226 I thought he was dead too honestly lol
I've always loved Baba Yetu because while the Lord's Prayer in English is usually sung slowly, with grace, the Swahili version really brings out the joy of the lord
Exactly that!!!! I loooove the African spirit in music!
I love it because it proves that The Lord's Prayer is just serious but also joyful.
That's it
Ah thanks. Didn't know what they were singing, just knew it lifted my heart. 🤗🤗

Christopher Tin had The Lord's Prayer translated to Swahili when used, specifically, as the intro song for a computer grand strategy game: Sid Meier's Civilization IV.
Baba yetu, yetu uliye

The voice of Jimmer Bolden is incredible, could listen to him for hours.
He have a power but at the same time a sweet quality… truly a divine gift.
I'm a Tanzanian and the language they sing is my first language( Swahili) ... they sung well with nice pronunciations. God bless them all

Just a treasure that has increased the level of Humankind

you know music is really good when it’s a joyful, triumphant song and it still brings you nearly to tears
Thank you! The power and beauty of music is a special thing! ✨
I get a similar feeling with the Amen Chorus from Messiah. It sneaks up in you emotionally.
❤
Christopher Tin is a genius and this soloist is one of the best I have ever heard
Even when I don't share the religious belief I love this song as a Testament of human creativity, culture and art
This!
shut up ! quit enjoying this beatiful song.
Which is vested by God.
May God show you the Light, to show you to His Son, who died for all everyone. God Bless you, and take care of yourself, amd others, as much as you can, stay strong out there. God Bless you.
Amen. As far as choral music, I have always felt that most of the truly great pieces were sacred. I lost the faith long ago, but the music remains wonderful.
As a Tanzanian ( the swahili nation ) i don't know how i missed this.. they sang very well, praising our Father who is in heaven..

They are singing the Lord’s Prayer for those who don’t understand Swahili. 😎

True it's The Lord's Prayer.
This is why I feel peace hearing such song. A contribution and a monument of humility. This song traveled all the corners of this world. The voice of our lord always breaks divisions, races and differences.
That's him.
Don't ruin it for people.

Do you realise kiswahili was born at 10mile coastal strip from kismayu to musambique hence not only the credit goes to Tanzania as people in mombasa kenya speaks very good Kenyan than most mainland Tanzanians as mombasa was part of zanzibar so was the 10mile coastal strip where kiswahili was actually born so credit to zanzibar and its empire which stretched to Congo too.some people in mainland tanzani aka tanganyika don't even convers well in kiswahili.
This is the Lord's Prayer in Swahili. Beautiful. ❤🙏🙏🙏
Really? That’s awesome. I was wondering what they were singing about. Thank you.
Old white woman here in Alaska. I’m crying over how beautiful and powerful this is. The world needs more of these moments.
Am Kenyan🇰🇪 and am so proud Swahili is my national language
It was so amazing and your swahili so awesome, the language so emotional and really touching
This makes me think of the prophesy in the Bible where every tongue shall declare that he is God and every knee will bow. Many races came together to make this happen.
It's a version of the Lord's prayer. Nicely done. Native Swahili speakers can't do any better, thats how good this is. I should know, I am Kenyan.
This feels like heaven.. Please pray for me to have breakthrough in life, amen🙏
Beautiful singing, Swahili as my first language I would say the pronunciation was on point, welcome to East Africa wher Swahili is widely spoken
The leads singer’s voice is phenomenal 😮
This is what Heaven will sound like, just a billion times louder and more powerful. Thank you for your great voices.

Our true spirituality is not in the gods we worship or pray to, it is within us and you would have to be dead not to feel the power of so many voices rejoicing together, in a language that most do not speak to produce this wonderfully harmonious performance. Harmonious, not only musically but racially, but after all, there is only one race, Human.
I know that song since of the release of Civilization IV and allways loved it. This performance ... holy ... goosebumbs everywhere and tears pooring out of my eyes. Thank you Angel City Chorale. This was astonishing!
Thank you!
Que oriental linda atrás do Sr! 😊😊😊
A song designed for a video game, gave passion to people, filled hearts with peace and reminds us that though we are imperfect in so many ways, God loves us just the way we are. I love this song and yaw did a great performance, bet it took alot of hard practice, but yaw did an outstanding job!!! Always PUT GOD FIRST and youl triumph through every battle you go through.

It's in Kiswahili (Swahili) language predominately spoken in east Africa. The song is a gospel in praise of God. Baba yetu means our father.
You know what I love the most about art? It's the fact that I don't even know what they are saying while sing, but the harmony between the singers with all this multicultural context makes this presentation so beautiful that moved my eyes to tears ❤❤❤

Sometimes I wonder if the natural state of all living things and maybe even matter is conflict and constant pulling apart. This sound makes me believe that harmony might be just as natural to the living and maybe even all matter. I can hear the harmony. And it is good.

In are current climate where the world needs to work together to overcome something we've never faced before, this song resonates this message
This is the lord's prayer😂😂 your message is lovely...but completely UNRELATED.
First time I've seen choreography added to this moving music. Still brings chills and tears to this rendition.
Don't you love the conductor? She's so in charge; riding the crest of the wave.
I'm on Baba Yetu binge right now and this is 1 of the best 2 choir group performance and singing I've seen.
Everyone took part, performed and sang together.
Not many lacking of facial expression spotted when singing (which is great) and can hear the singing has feelings poured into it.
When you sing to God, you have to sing with feelings and dance (if you want to) to show Him that you are doing it for Him. Singing to God is like you have to "send" your voice to Him and let Him "receive" what you expressed.
Magnífico! 🙌🏽👏🙏❤🤩💕
