Imagine being the guy that discharged Chris Redfield from the Air Force for insubordination only to later see him become one of the greatest heroes and legends of their time, being a key figure that brought down Umbrella and having co-founded the largest and leading anti-bioterrorist organization all while saving the world many times over.
That guy was a hero. If he hadn't discharged Chris, Chris might never have found his way to STARS and thus would never have gotten the conviction he did due to being directly involved in the Mansion Incident.
I kinda find it funny that in the S.D. Perry novel “The Umbrella Conspiracy,” when the surviving members of Alpha Team are being chased by the Cerberus, Chris actually THROWS his handgun towards the pack of zombie dogs after running out of ammunition. Of course, that did jack all and only left him without a weapon, other than his knife. Granted, the novel is based around the ‘96 version of Resident Evil, and I doubt Chris would just carelessly pitch his weapon, especially one he had specially customized.
I always let Claire use Chris' Samurai Edge when i play RE2 Remake, it would had been cool if Claire could had found her Brother's Samurai Edge and use it in her Survival at Raccoon City. Glad to see you guys making content once again ^^
According to a retired marine friend of mine, the Beretta is the Lamborghini of the handgun world in its time. Take care of it properly and it will take care of you exquisitely.
Great content! It's peculiar how the Chris vversion of the Samurai Edge was the result of his extensive use in the trials just to become the model to be lost inmediatly at the start of the REmake and then being first formally featured (non-canon) in use in a game where Chirs isn't even present.
As a professional gunsmith and also a hardcore RE fan from the 90's I absolutely love this channel. I have the Gun Shop Kendo sticker on my primary workbench and a few of the Samurai Edge stickers throughout the shop. Seeing a customer look closely at them and then their eyes light up when they recognize the pistols. I've even done a few Samurai Edge builds for customers who have bought the kits to convert their 92's. I recently let these videos play quietly on my little tv in the corner and more often than not folks lean over to watch them intently. its pretty cool to see how many RE fans are out there.
If you happen to ever start building parts so we all can have our own Samurai Edges, please, do come back to let us all know haha. We need a go-to- guy for all Samurai Edge needs where now you have to look around at multiple fabricators to acquire parts and services.
I can not stress enough how much I've been eagerly waiting for another installment to the Samurai Edge series. It's really interesting to note how each one was a reflection of the personality of said user. The most deviated and interesting ones to see will be Wesker's and Barry's (affectionately referred to as a hand cannon lol). A pistol that would be interesting to see is Leon's Silver Ghost. It shares similarities with the Samurai Edge, but only in theme. As I believe Leon requested if he could have one, but Joseph Kendo told him while it was a great gun, it was still one that anyone could just use. Showing him what would be called the Silver Ghost, a pistol he built from the ground up. With that said, it would have been interesting to see what would have Leon's "Samurai Edge" would have looked like had Joseph not declined his request for a model.
Ontop of that while going over Leon's weapons a piece on the Sentinel Nine might also be good too, as its the Successor to the Silver Ghost and Leon's Handgun in all media we see him in Post RE6. (It was supposed to be in 6 but got cut and replaced with the wing shooter)
This channel is a true gift. If you are a fan of RE, or weapons, or both. This is custom made for you. Keep up the good work, you are the best gunsmith in town.
Very interesting that the little details show off each Samurai Edge owner’s personal taste. Shows how much the devs really paid attention to the details when it came to the weapons in the games, even way back when
As a huge fan of this channel and it's wonderful art style with the Kendo gun shop theme, narrator voice that is yours which I respect and resonate with a lot, find it relaxing and making talking about the Resident Evil weapons a classy and interesting, entertaining matter so to see a new video released soon is massive hype, incredibly exciting.

So much thought went into this for the game I'm very surprised Beretta hasn't made a limited edition real life counterpart, that kind of stuff is right up their alley.
Love these videos. As a gun nut, this is a lot of fun to watch. That being said. Its fucking hilarious that chris was 23 years old, with a combat record of that of someone who has 20 years service lol. I hatw that troupe.
In my head cannon, the gun survived and some guy found then sold it and it kept changing hands and is now in a pwn shop somewhere waiting for Chris to find it.
You probably wouldn't make it that far in an RE game if your first instinct upon finding the shotgun is "oh hell yeah, time to dump the pistol permanently". Have fun wasting all your magnum ammo on zombies after you pick it up and ditch the shotgun for it.
You remain the best channel for gun-related content in popular video games, RE being just a chip of the iceberg(Although it remains my favourite series to be covered in your particular style). Glad to see another one. Take care, gunsmiths.
Hah! I just built my own Jill's Samurai Edge M92, and I think I wanna build another one now. Naturally Chris is at the top of the list for who my next SE will be modeled after, and I was looking all over online for instructions/lore on how to build Chris's SE. There's not a lot of material out there, so I thought: Damn it, why doesn't Kendo just do a video on it? And here you are, out of thin air 😅
It's similar to a 92fs. Switch out the barrel for stainless steel, extended the magazine release on the side and switch the grips out for a dark wood and add the medallion. Accidentally did this and noticed it just need the medallion. Not paying to buy a slide and then mess it up with all that engraving. Could buy another entire gun for much that would cost to make. Still wanting to add a vp70 to my collection but they are 1000-1500 now and aren't that great to begin with.
@@madbart214yomother7 and the VP70 is rare af. I can't find one for sale anywhere. I'd probably buy it if I could, the gun will only go up in value. Hell I'd by two if I could, that way I could sell one one day if the price really gets up there. I'd also be tempted to go get a class 3 license, because the real life 3 round burst on the VP70 is just insane. It sucks in the game, but in real life it fires so fast that it looks like you only fired one bullet.
@@MavisRecon I've found maybe 2. One was 1000 recently with a case and all that but I had to walk cause of current financial situations and another at a show for 1200 but it wasn't as nice. I want one but I have too many guns that are reliable and better to throw money on something that I don't know if I would ever really use. It's a good collector item to sit on cause it has gone up since I've been looking but I'm iffy on it just on practical terms.
Oh and when I mentioned current financial situations, I mean watching my money cause everything is so overpriced right now, there aren't alot of ways to save money so just gotta watch the spending. Just a regular guy here, ya know.
Always nice to see more of Kendo's works. Im kinda hoping you might do one of the more on offs, like the Sentinel Nine from the RE4 Remake, or the Eagle 6.0 from RE3
I appreciate the sort of documentary around the weapons themselves. Just as much as the weapons and their designs are interesting, the context of their use and user is equally interesting
Just realized after all these years that the “Custom Kendo Shop” wording on the slide is almost identical to the style that Kimber uses on their custom shop slides (Custom Kimber Shop).
OH NO 😨!! AFTER WATCHING THIS IM GONNA BE FORCED TO PLAY RESIDENT EVIL 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and Revelations 1&2 AGAIN!!! Awesome to see you continued with the series :)
Dear Kendo, apparently someone in Capcom realise the error for the wii version of Darkside Chronicles and fixed it in the PS version of the game to have Chris hold a glock instead and not ruin continuity. However, as mentioned in the previous videos, the samurai edge in the remake is intended to be Jill’s custom but someone did not fix the model when it was remastered. I am already aware of your acknowledgement of the error, so there is no need to slander me. Just a simple reminder for you. You made accurate gun vids so nice.
Honestly I love all the breakdowns of the Samurai Edge guns. When I was trying to make a custom Samurai Edge when trying to make a fanfiction for Resident Evil, I based a lot of it off your own breakdowns but I had no freaking clue if it ever would have worked.

So cool to see another chapter of the Samurai Edge. I've been watching the other videos on the Samurai Edge since it looks like it's based off of the Beretta 92fs. Keep up the amazing work.

I still hold hope that we will one day see this Samurai Edge reunite with its owner. Whether it suddenly appears on his doorstep, in the possession of a friend or even Chris stumbling across it while going to the Arklay Mountains.
I really love your videos! I first stumbled upon this channel, while mindlessly scrolling. It was the VP-70 video. First I thought was okay video game video about the firearms used, probably gonna be lame. But it was so much more! The depth of detail, and the educational value. I became a fan and had to watch the rest! I really hope that you delve into the RE4 remake, especially explaining the custom SIG 226 in the game!
Pleeeeaaaaase tell me you haven't retired this channel. Your overviews of various video game firearms and their IRL counterparts are just so good and have that special flare of personality.
A gun i wanna see covered in a video would be the M19/M1911 series from every game that it was in. Ik alot of us know about the m1911 in real life but i wanna see it nonetheless!
Great to see you back at it again with another diligently detailed overview of the guns from the series. Hopefully you'll get the chance to go over Leon's Springfield Armory 1911 sidearm from RE: Damnation in due time.
Glad to see you back in action. Thank you for this! I am eager to see an analysis of Albert Wesker's model. I made my own by combining a standard SE with the Blue Umbrella Albert 01P model from Tokyo Marui. Best wishes from Poland!
Im so happy to see this upload. Im working on producing my very own Chris Redfield model beretta conversion for my Chris Redfield cosplay. This video will serve as invaluable reference data for its production.
Always a good day when new RE content gets dropped, and on July 4th no less! Loved the teaser for the next weapon, and I didn't know the exact date of the Umbrella's End scenario, so that made my day!

Personally I quite liked all of them in their respective games except the umbrella chronicles one but my favorite is the original '99 SP2009 with enhanced ammo in Operation Mad Jackal as Nicholai. Very satisfying but challenging to take down hunters with.
@@einzelfeuer_2855 you missed a few.
sig 556 is also in re5 and mercenaries 3d
the sig ssg 3000 and you could argue the triple shot is sig based in re6,
triple shot again in revelations 2
MCX VIRTUS is in village
Sentinel Nine 226 in re4 remake
p226 in operation raccoon city
Sentinel Nine 226 is also in vendetta (the cgi movies are part of the game series.)
@@dwayneelizondomountaindewh6073 I don't know why but for some reason I just assumed you meant the handguns only lol.
As far as the triple shot I consider it to be a fictional gun modeled on the one from Robocop.
@@einzelfeuer_2855 the triple shot is kind of a mix of m93r and sig p226/p220 sport II kinda like the broken butterfly being a mix of a s&w Schoolfield and a colt saa. Re does mix things up like that some times. think of the silver ghost that like 3 different guns cobbled together.
Can't wait for the Barry model, that's the one I'm interested in the most.
Glad to see you again! How long has been since last year? Regardless looking forward to learning about Chris' gun. It's a shame he lost when they were getting attacked by dogs...
Man i been missi🎉 you buddy cant wait ...so im researching your other videos an still finding tidbits of info i don't know..and i was born in the 90s an still got a controller in hand lol .thanks kendo
He’s back! 🥲🥹😄
Pleeeeaaaaase tell me you haven't retired this channel. Your overviews of various video game firearms and their IRL counterparts are just so good and have that special flare of personality.
No just takes a while since I’m pretty sure he does these by himself
I'm so happy you're back, I've consumed your videos over and over again while you were inactive and I'm so so glad to see you're not done yet :)
I would love to see a video on the Silver ghost (Leon’s main handgun in re4 and re4 remake)
Hell Yeah! So happy too see this, definitely tuning in when this goes live! Love these vids, happy y'all are back!
The man is finally back!
I missed this channel so much, so good to see you back Kendo
I love that this channel never rushes to get a video out. They take their time, and they make sure that the quality of the video is second to none.
Tbf I think some of this last wait was partly due to tech issues
Chris’ Samurai Edge is resting along with Snake’s 1911 in gun paradise. XD
Return of the king
I'm glad to see you guys are back! I can't wait to catch this
I did not expect this video today. That makes today a good day. It's always a good day when the Kendo Gun Shop is open for business.
I'm looking forward to Wesker’s Samurai Edge.
great work as always. pls keep making RE weapons videos i love your style of content. Cheers
A gun i wanna see covered in a video would be the M19/M1911 series from every game that it was in. Ik alot of us know about the m1911 in real life but i wanna see it nonetheless!
it's been 10 months, we're glad to have you back man !
Welcom back
I love the samurai edge. It’s a beautiful gun in resident evil so beautiful in real life makes me wanna cry. 😢❤❤❤❤❤ 👍 👍 👍 👍
One of my favorite video series. I hope you don't run out of content to cover.
Great to see you back at it again with another diligently detailed overview of the guns from the series.
Hopefully you'll get the chance to go over Leon's Springfield Armory 1911 sidearm from RE: Damnation in due time.
The king is back🎉
It's so good to see you back!
Glad to see you back in action. Thank you for this! I am eager to see an analysis of Albert Wesker's model. I made my own by combining a standard SE with the Blue Umbrella Albert 01P model from Tokyo Marui.
Best wishes from Poland!
Yay a new video
Im so happy to see this upload. Im working on producing my very own Chris Redfield model beretta conversion for my Chris Redfield cosplay. This video will serve as invaluable reference data for its production.
Channels like this one (not many) make video so well put together like this one I’m super appreciative of your vids Joseph
Super glad you’re back bro
Thanks for the video @Kendogunshop. Can't wait for your next video, please keep expanding the lore of Resident Evil's firearms.
He's alive, Yes! And he has returned with another part of the samurai edge episode, truly a happy day 😁
Always a good day when new RE content gets dropped, and on July 4th no less! Loved the teaser for the next weapon, and I didn't know the exact date of the Umbrella's End scenario, so that made my day!
Considering Chris was the one who Kendo kept using for the base performance testing makes sense his mark on that is huge even if he doesnt have his own anymore
