Isn’t there a way to just render the 2D line art out from sketch up? Seems easier than tracing over the image manually or maybe just bring the picture over to illustrator and use the live trace tool?

Actually its my way in design if you notice the model is just a massing extruded from a floor plan with no details except the massing heights then I made these sketch trials over that massing image to come up with a design - this process could be done several times and may lead me to go back to the Sketchup to modify a massing till I reach the desired design.

Set smoothing to 100℅, you can draw straight line 😊

Why trace over a design that is already there?

Actually the design was not there I have just built a white model from the finished floor plans by extruding each floor , selected good angle and use this background massing to keep accurate proportions
I am using this way to add details or change the composition little
Usually I am doing this process back and forth till I reach the final design

in procreate you have 2 options just hold your hand for a while then line became straight the other option is to use the grid then everything will be parallel to the grid you select

Desert Breeze you are right I used to design manually over sketch up simple model then back to sketch up to draw the details - some times back and forth several times to improve my design
Then the final result is always rendered using 3D MAX

Yes, it just takes longer with little to almost no emotional engagement with sketch up as a design tool! Just my personal opinion!

And then looked like a typical boring sketchUp style - yup - similar to people who want to render only in enscape so easy and they all look the same too
