Nice tutorial, I couldn'd download the packet capture app for android so ended up downloading an android emulator instead and used wireshark directly to capture the stream address from the emulator traffic when connecting to the cam, worked like a charm. Thanks for the tutorial!!
Thanks for the tutorial. It would be cool to connect the apeman camera straight to your wifi router, just like my other web cam. This allows you to stream the web cam from OBS to TH-cam. But if you can only connect the cam to your laptop wifi, then the laptop can't stream anywhere out the video. Do you know is there better resolution stream available than this 640x360 pixels? When I changed the URL from /v1/ to /v3/ I got lower resolution stream but didnt find any better resolution.
I'm glad if it helped. Unfortunately I have no idea how to increase the resolution. These cheap action cams are hit or miss most of the time. I think you would be lucky if you find one that can stream 1080p over wifi. Regarding your second thought, I'm pretty sure you can use both wifi and RJ45 at the same time on a laptop (if you have a physical connector that is) 🤔 So in theory you should be able to add the stream from VLC to OBS. I'm pretty certain that I have even tried it successfully once.
@@patukkable thanks, Ofcourse, didnt even think rj45, but have that usb adapter. Anyway I will return that camera, because I have another one only 10 euros more expensive web cam and it is much better for streaming, of course action camera was never even ment to be streaming.

A vpn is certainly not necessary. It is very possible that these steps does not work straight ahead if you are behind a vpn connection... But many vpns still give you the option to discover devices in your local network.
How do I even do this with gopro9 and Iphone? I wanted to livestream with gopro but dumb go pro won’t let me wirelessly stream unless I plug gopro to laptop and carry both laptop and gopro from one room to other which is dumb as hell. Anyone got any solution to this please?
when are we gona a program that dose this for obs and stuff ? i mean sony fdr 3000 even have livestream in the cam but still cant stream to eny playform :(
It would sure be great with a program that could get the stream more easily. I'm pretty sure you can add the VLC wifi stream to OBS if you are connected with a cable to the rj45 port at the same time. But then again, there wouldn't perhaps be a need to use it with wifi, since you could connect it via long usb cable instead and avoid the long latency.
@@patukkable there is a wifi program that works for sony its called sony a6000 live view that uses blutooh you dont get full qulity but atleast 60 fps and the quality is okay if you ask me . but it would be good if we could get 1080p direct feed for a program like obs
No he is just f..ing with everyone. Thats not livestreaming. Only his laptop livestream where he could just use built in webcam. I dont even know what is the point in video like this
omg, why havent anybody just made an app that fits all action cameras ??? far beyond half of these apps dosnt work and have no support anymore, they are just wasting space on the store and wasting peoples time. came here cause i thought it was about an app that could work with any action camera, sorry, probably a cool vid, but i still can't get any of my action cameras to work with wifi cause all the apps for them are outdated abandoned software. REEEEEE
The problem is someone would have to do this reverse engineering step for every single variation of camera out there and then write an app that handles all of them. It's probably just not worth anyone's time to actually go and do it. I agree though, super frustrating. I bought mine discounted from a retail store (not second hand) and got home to realise I couldn't even get the app required to make it work without sideloading the APK..
Dude, please use a tripod, or even sticky tape and a broom handle....FFS Next time, present the items to the stationary camera, not vice versa, you're doing this backwards.

Live stream action cam means stream outside fyring sport activity. You van stream to streaming platform from Phone connected to a cam via WiFi or Bluetooth, or stream directly from a Sim card i side camera.. You bus made a super bad webcam, not a live streaming action cam. Pointless. Try again with a different camera that dont need a Phone and a computer to go live.
it's not pointless. A lot of cheap drones use cams like these for first person flying. This is a saviour for anyone who needs an alternative to the apps that are out of date or no longer function for their camera.

Yes, that's possible. Login to cam web interface IP Port 80. No credentials. Set to "Station" and Wifi credentials.
