    I usually get the fluid out of the trans without making a mess then kick over my container by accident when I'm cleaning up my tools.

    I love that old Buick, dimmer switch on the floor and everything. Thanks again for explaining alignment, it is no wonder older cars had such a problem with alignment. Enjoyed the diagnostic on the Nissan intermittent problem.

    That's some good work on that nissan intermittent no start

    • @COBRO98

      Yeah, it was. The owner was definitely not happy about paying diagnostic fees and decided not to fix it, it's a heck of a lot more expensive to buy another vehicle than it is to fix it. It's pretty disheartening as a mechanic when you put in hours of work to figure out what's wrong and then people get mad at you about it. Most mechanics genuinely want to help but the general public for some reason thinks you should tell them what's wrong for free.

    Sometimes, during your diags, my head almost explodes. Do you have insurance in case it does? I like the PT cruiser customer's sign, "Jesus first, Jesus always". In today's violent, hateful world, His name is a welcome relief.

    I always had a soft spot for Buicks. That sure is a clean Riviera. Although red is my favorite color, that color combination isn't that great looking. I'd prefer a red paint job with black interior. I was surprised to see the X-frame. I thought GM had abandoned the X-frame by the 65 model year.

    • @JimmyMakingitwork

      That is what I thought. But they must have kept it longer on a couple of models. This car is all stock. Hmmm

  • @Ram14250

    69 Riviera needs some Fluid Film or WoolWax on that underbody! Save her! Very surprised that Buick had front drum brakes. I thought for a luxury car it would of had disc's up front by 1969. Nice car, rough body (odd dent locations?)... also Red Interior with baby-blue paint?... I don't think so!

    • @319E

      Agree with your assessment of the color combo, can't imagine GM would do that. Looking close at the right front fender, appears to be a rusted/pitted fender or bad paint job. In any case the car looks hideous in that shade of blue.

    • @JimmyMakingitwork

      Yeah not sure about the colors being stock, but the blue is everywhere.
      It looks like a barn find someone patched up. With some work it could be super nice….pearl white maybe. ;)
