"many big countries try to fully exploit our resource and nature by separating us" The same can be said to Malaysia and Indonesia. Sabah and Sarawak could have been rich with the resource it has, same goes to Kalimantan. Currently, the future of these land are paved and determined by those not born & live within the homeland. I don't like the idea of a united borneo since it has so many different people & may likely result in conflicts. But suggesting as if we aren't already exploited is just false.
I'm Kadazan. A native race of Sabah. Sabah was known as North Borneo aka Crown Colony of British Borneo and was granted independence in Aug 31, 1963. The first Prime Minister of North Borneo and 6 others leaders from various race/tribes was killed in 1976, June 6 which is known as Double 6 Tragedy. The death of North Borneo Leaders led to Tun Abdul Razak and Tun Hussein Onn a Malays extremist to force Sabah joining Federation of Malaysia. In the June 6, 1976 North Borneo leaders was on board a plane heading to KL to inform KL that North Borneo wishes to become a republic. But Tun Hussein, knowing that Malaya cannot survive because of lack natural resources needed to "kidnap" And force Sabah (North Borneo) into the formation of Malaysia. Singapore managed to leave the union. North Borneo were dominantly Christian until the famous Islamisation of Sabah in 1976 to 1992 under the "Project IC Mahathir". Mahathir allowed the influx of Muslim from Southern Philipines (Palawan, Mindanao, Zamboanga, Tawi TAwi etc). These Muslims from Philipines was converted in Muslim Voters that led Tun Mustapha, a puppet politician by Mahathir to create chaos and the famous riot in 1986 in Kota Kinabalu.
@PrescottJJames stop being racist and accept the fact that islam is the majority in sabah, sarawak and kalimantan.. they were never be forced to joining malaya, ur fact is so dumb and racist and you cannot accept the fact.. kadazan dusun was never the only tribe live in sabah and please never claim sabah as your own
I was able to visit Sabah a couple years ago as part of a uni module and we saw a female orangutan eating fruit high up in a tree which was amazing. Proboscis monkeys were also everywhere and always funny to look at while you would see several macaques per day. It was sad how little primary forest still existed and it was covered in palm plantations which were ghost towns that only benefitted palm civets
I live in west borneo, absolutely nothing to do. There’s only jungle that mostly inaccessible and brutal weather. This might sound interesting the nature and all but unlike forest, a jungle is a whole different beast it’s easy to get lost and entering the jungle itself is not an easy task so unless you have a team with an expert with you it’s hard to go anywhere there
Yep, so many are oblivious to the distinction between "km squared" and "square km". The unit symbol "km²" is the root cause; it should be pronounced "square kilometers". I saw a sign recently where a volume of 100 km³ was described as a cube 100 km on each side. It's exasperating... I want the time back, that I spent learning all of this. Apparently it's now irrelevant.
British was the factor of disputing two nations who versus each other in both sides the claimant.Because British made the rights of other to their own right legally.

and as a native, we didn't respect you saying "if Borneo are it's own country ...." over and over again.
since there's many big countries try to fully exploit our resource and nature by separating us, even attempt to initiate a separatist movement.
if you say that in here, i'm afraid you'll get in trouble.

I agree with you.
Hello from South Borneo/Kalimantan Indonesia
Where's the rest of the Borneo ??
proud to be borneo malaysian
Important point he missed is that the new Indonesian capital, Nusantara, is being built in East Kalimantan.
Thumbnail needs to be changed.
@PrescottJJames stop being racist and accept the fact that islam is the majority in sabah, sarawak and kalimantan.. they were never be forced to joining malaya, ur fact is so dumb and racist and you cannot accept the fact.. kadazan dusun was never the only tribe live in sabah and please never claim sabah as your own
I'm surprised that given how recent this video is, yet you didn't mention Nusantara city in it 😮😅😢
(Located between Samarinda & Balikpapan)
KALIMANTAN/BORNEO MENTIONED 🗣️🔥🔥
The island looks like a far godzilla
watching this as proud Sabahan
I was able to visit Sabah a couple years ago as part of a uni module and we saw a female orangutan eating fruit high up in a tree which was amazing. Proboscis monkeys were also everywhere and always funny to look at while you would see several macaques per day. It was sad how little primary forest still existed and it was covered in palm plantations which were ghost towns that only benefitted palm civets
I live in west borneo, absolutely nothing to do. There’s only jungle that mostly inaccessible and brutal weather. This might sound interesting the nature and all but unlike forest, a jungle is a whole different beast it’s easy to get lost and entering the jungle itself is not an easy task so unless you have a team with an expert with you it’s hard to go anywhere there
Watching this video while in Borneo
pretty sure you meant the largest flower. obviously there are plants way bigger, like in that same photo
Are you the same person that used to have the 101 facts channel?
No one talking bout how the thumbnail is just Indonesian Kalimantan and not all of borneo
Funfact our borneo coal is what makes tokyo, beijing, shenzen, chongqing have 24 hour electricity
Your thumbnail pic is wrong. It is only showing the Indonesian part of it.
750,000km x 750,000km
WHOW!!

As a genetically modified orangutan, i approve the potrayal of our home in this video
Lucky to visit? I've basically lived here most of my life. North of Borneo in the state of Sabah, Malaysia. Lots of clips you've shown are from our capital Kota Kinabalu, Sabah which is pretty unique for having a capital next to the ocean. I do live in the interior parts but it's mostly a 2 hours drive to Mt. Kinabalu. Heck I'm working in even further interior parts about an hour or two away from the Indonesian borders. Otherwise, a great spots for nature tourism. Just make sure to say hello to the locals 😂.

What on earth is Borneo?Uh..well oil..wait.... not the freedom one...
Today Borneo are belonging to some various tribes of locals from all Asian countries and many of them are Chinese origin who formerly migrated from China Mainland beside the sea of Borneo is claiming expand boarders by China .
Is there any other island anywhere in the world with territory owned by 3 nations? Or is Borneo unique in that respect? I can't think of any.
It's unique, 【some count Cyprus ( Cyprus, Turkish Cyprus and UK occupied land), ignoring the UN controlled area.】
@@WONGKHAIHONGMoeas borneon i feel kinda sad...divided by three nation..
@@XxOursChannelX4875at least your body isnt divided
@@XxOursChannelX4875 I kinda agree, would be pretty cool if Borneo became a unified state like the old Bruneian empire. But at least we can reconcile with the fact we're from the same island
