    As our vedas describes India:- The country that lies north of the ocean and south of the snowy mountains is called Bharatam; there dwell the descendants of Bharata. My motherland, My beautiful home, My Karmbhoomi. Nothing can ever be beautiful than you.

    • @aashish9141

    • @shubh.bapi_9423
      @shubh.bapi_9423 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, There are so Many culture Vedic and non Vedic but the Vedas are the earliest to describe the extent of bharat, giving a sense of unique socio-religious demographics different from cultures around it. This binds vast majority of cultures in this subcontinent with Hinduism or its cultural continuum. @@aashish9141

    • @xijinpig8982
      @xijinpig8982 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +81

      @@aashish9141
      He's not talking about it in terms of Ancient Vedic Culture. What he means is by blood and as modern Indians, we are one people. Everyone in the subcontinent is more closely related to each other than to those outside the subcontinent. Heck, a Kashmiri is genetically closer to a Tamil or an Assamese (refer Human Genome Diversity Project, HGDP) than they are to a Pashtun right next door. People in the subcontinent have been moving around and mixing with each other and the mountains to the north and west act as natural barriers to limit outside influence in the mixing.
      To end, that sentence in the Vedas is a geographical description, not religious. It goes;
      "Uttaram yat samudrasya, Himadreschaiva dakshinam, varsham tad Bharatam nama Bharati yatra santatih"
      Meaning exactly what he said, North of the ocean and south of the snowy mountains, there lies a country called Bharatam whose people are called Bharatis.

    • @aashish9141
      @aashish9141 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      @@xijinpig8982 The geographic region mentioned here is the version of Vedic culture. Not every culture present here has the same world view.
      Nobody is talking about genetics here. People everywhere is going to have something common with the ones next to them. We have inter-mixed a lot and have stopped doing that due to solidification due to caste structure.
      So yea, again. A lot of regions that are part of Indian Union have their own district history & culture. Vedic culture is just one of many.

    I am very grateful for this presentation. India has always represented for me the most tolerant, welcoming, geologically panoramic and demographically exuberant societies in the world. Its democracy has not remained as independent under the current leadership, but I hope things will return to full tolerance of religion and freedom of expression.
    We need India as a balance to five other titans-Russia, America, China, Brazil and Indonesia. Of these six enormous powers, India is probably the least selfish, and most naturally intellectually gifted. I happily say that as a American.
    If it's birth rate could stabilize at 2.1, and environmental endowment be protected, India will become the global model for a pluralistic, prosperous and peace-loving future!

      It would be explainable using this same video. Pakistan really is the western portion of the Indian Subcontinent, with the same Thar Desert, Indo-Gangetic Plains and Himalayas and even the coastal plains to the south.
      Coastal Sindh = Coastal Gujarat
      Punjab (Pak) = Punjab+Haryana (Ind)
      Ajk, Eastern KPK like Swat and Dir= J&K, Himachal, Uttarakhand
      Gilgit, Astore, Baltistan, Chitral = Ladakh, Kargil, Lahaul & Spiti
      Thar in Sindh and Punjab = Thar in Rajasthan
      The only difference is Pakistan has an extra mountain range to the west (the Suleiman and the Hindu Kush), whose function is the same as the Arakan in Northeast India, which separates the far west and far east of the subcontinent from the Middle East and South East Asia respectively.

    Due to its geography, as you can see, India was protected for centuries by Himalayan from any Invaders. India has always been attacked from West side, just like Russia was attacked from West side. Only 2 time India was attacked from East was in WW2 and Indo China war in 1962, when Japan's general Mutaguchi attacked, but he was repelled back.
    India's Himalayan States, Himachal Pradesh and ladakh are best for mountain driving but they are not for beginners. You may need 4*4 SUV in winters. So also the eastern states.
    Rest of India is drivable by sedan although small mountains are everywhere.

    India is a world within. That is why this region is called Indian subcontinent. The ocean beneath is the Indian ocean which is a warmer ocean isolated from the arctic. It is the reason for great monsoon and the Himalayas don't let monsoon pass through to Tibet. The monsoon cools down and feeds the rivers. It is naturally protected by the Himalayas and the ocean. But our enemy states are carved out of us😪 now we have threat within natural borders.

    $45 Trillion was taken from India by Britain over 200 years of rule

    • @death_parade
      @death_parade 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      That money, treasure, stone-carved idols and natural resources that the British took away is not the main atrocity committed by them. The tens of millions of Indian people that perished due to British rule and the hundreds of millions of Indians impoverished by the British rule also does not constitute the main atrocity committed by the British on India.
      The main atrocity committed by the British upon India is the Cultural Subversion of India and the Divide and Rule policy of the British. This directly attacked and attempted to uproot (almost succeeded) the cultural and civilizational roots and ethos of the Indian civilization. The great tragedy is that this most oppressive and damaging aspect of British colonial rule of India is something we Indians are still fighting even today, and the British never stopped committing this crime. They do it even today, and they have co-opted even USA to become their accomplice in this crime against Indian civilization.
      I and most Indians are willing to forgive and forget ALL of this, not seeking revenge, on the condition that UK and USA at least stop committing this crime today. But they are not stopping. I read how the UK and US media covered the news of the _Pran Prathishtha_ of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple three weeks ago. I read daily how the UK funds a Hybrid War against India and calls the funds it sends to its agents in India (funds to wage this war) as "British Aid to India." I read daily how UK, USA, Canada and even Australia give refuge to terrorists that aim to balkanize India.
      *The West is choosing to make India its enemy. One day, they will regret their actions, not because of some "revenge" that India will extract, no. But they will regret that they put to sleep the land of Gandhi and awoke the land of Kautilya.*
