Anne Yatco did such a good job. We can clearly distinguish Ei's voice, Makoto's voice, and Raiden Shogun's voice. Awesome voicework! The best story quest until now amongst all the good story quests!
@@wolfofsummerbreeze Indeed. Also Ei's voice has so much determination behind it. "Don't look down on me". It did caught me off guard, but then it's how the real Ei would answer. Awesome story.
@@wolfofsummerbreeze It definitely speaks to their respective personalities. Raiden Shogun (puppet) being stern and by the book like the old Ei. While Makoto is enlightened and more relaxed. While Ei drifts between the two moving toward Makoto’s view of things.
@@ルリ-ruri Well think of Shogun as Ei while she is determined about eternity, since the Shogun embodies her will. So the voice of Ei when she gets serious sounds closer to the Shogun, only slightly less rigid. When Ei is talking with the Traveller or reminiscing the old story, her voice becomes very soft and tender. I think it is also intentional. That's my take.
This act just elevated Ei to one of my favorites. I know people compare her to the other Archons, especially Zhongli when it comes to their ruling methods. Always talking about how the latter is a superior ruler. And you know what? I can't blame them for feeling that way. But that's the thing. Zhongli is a near perfect individual from day one with his only flaw is a terrible sense of handling money. Compared to Ei who is really flawed, he doesn't have much room to develop because he's like the guy who has finished his life's journey whereas Ei is a child who went through terrible stuff and loss a lot, she couldn't handle her grief properly and made many mistakes, but after getting scolded, she comes to realize how wrong she was, and now she wants to try to make amends, even though she knows that she is still ignorant about what direction her country should proceed in, she's clearly making an effort to try and learn. In short, I'm just a sucker for flawed characters who learn from their mistakes.
Bruh, venti is hella underrated too; he is actually one of those that done the most work among the archons, especially at the early days of Monstadt, it was already hintef from from golden apple archipelago, unreconciled star event or even Dainslef collected mischaleny about venti, and hell even it was being mentionef several times, monstadt was once mountanous frozen wasteland not lush green as we know now, it is barbados aka venti who use his power to cut down the mountains and throwing them off to the sea, in what now becomes haar island or golden apple archipelago, and throwing the largest mountain in Tevyat, pylos peak, to the sea, to what is now, musk reef, aka the location of spyral abbys, not only that, venti also drive off storm from monstadt, so monstadt will be the land without storm this is the thing that have been said by that girl with church of favonius uniform at the area around stormbearers mountain, venti also taught people of monstadt how to harness wind and taught them how to build windmill all of this is the reason why monstadt being nicknamed crown if the north After all of this he goes off to sleep, but from the manga, he definitely didn't have control over his sleep, and even ask himself how long has he been sleeping, and wake up to monstadt already under the yoke of Lawrence clan, this is my speculation, but he looks like overspend his archonic power especially since he is a god that didn't get worship at the beginning, vannesa's rebellioj would be impossible to succeed without venti's direct intervention, and he once again handed monstadt to it's righful owner, the people Fast forward during catacalysm , venti and dvalin are the one that defended monstadt from the attack of the largest dragon that ever roam monstadt, durin, you can see the remnants in dragonspine mountain, in which why the mountain being named like that And idk if you realize it, monstadt archin quest are the only archon quest where the archons actually greatly help in handle the crisis, without venti we stand no chance against corrupted Dvalin, hell without venti we wouldn't survive at all
@@briantarigan7685 yeaaa both of your comments describe why i feel so much more for these archons than Zhongli ahaha. Venti was my previously favourite favourite character, but i just find Raiden to be visually more interesting.
@@briantarigan7685 i was thinking the same about venti.. but i think he will be a major chara in our journey later on, i mean yea ofcourse bcs he is an archon.. The fact the three of their voices are distinct despite being voiced by the same VA. Shogun: Stern and strict. Makoto: Lively and kind. Ei: A mix of the both.
Ei's 1st Story Quest: Introducing Ei to the modern world and showing her that change, while inevitable and unpredictable, is not something to be feared. Ei's 2nd Story Quest: Helping Ei overcome the pain of her past by facing the Shogun puppet, the literal embodiment of her past ideals, so both she and Inazuma can move forward to a brighter future.
Exactly people complain that her first story is just a date but its a good way to show us how ei is because in archon quest we never talk to ei beside fighting unlike venti and zhongli who already know each other in archon quest, but its genshib community they always complain about everything
@@yakz9600 It was still pretty bad and terribly written. Like, the first part of Act II basically reiterated the point Act I was trying to make, but significantly better without being woefully cringe worthy. Don't for a second believe Act I wasn't a writing abomination. Cause it was, and no amount of conceptual talk is going to change that is was an executional disaster.
@@gameboy8010 Yeah, like Venti's story quest wasn't the same thing. People complain about Ei's but not Venti's when the first half of Venti's story quest was literally just going around Mondstadt talking about imaginary friends. It was only in the second half when they went into more interesting stuff, just like what they did for Ei.
@@Michylawhty Venti's at least narratively tied the front and back half quite well in a narratively satisfying cohesive package. And it actually hit its emotional notes when we got to it. That's where Raiden Shogun Act I is a huge flop. It was hardly cohesive, had no real emotional resolution or payoff. Just came off as shallow. Commission dude was cool and all, but it just didn't tie back to Ei as strongly as it could've. Act II however, did it right.
For those who didn't know after you finish Raiden story act 2 quest, it was told that the Sakoku degree was officially abolished which mean in Ritou people can enter to Inazuma easily because the storm in between Liyue and Inazuma has stopped by Ei. Now you can brought your waverider to Liyue.
You know what I love in this quest, Ei is the one fighting Raiden Shogun and not Traveller.. We doesn't even use our characters and it's all done by Ei.. Also, I don't think you will die on this boss.. I have 1 HP left when the battle ends..
Mihoyo really tried to make raiden look so powerfull here....BTW i've made a genshin 2.5 cutscene with colosal/armored titan theme ..mind if u have a look on it?😅
I know some people didn't like the first story quest, but now that we have this, looking back, the first story quest was completely necessary. Had Ei never left the Plane of Euthymia in the first quest never have seen how Inazuma has changed, she would never have started on this path to understanding what Eternity was to Makoto.
Honestly I didn’t mind Ei’s last story quest at all, even though I know some people complained, personally I found it to be quite amusing seeing her learn about the world that she had left behind for so many years. It was one of the few quests that actually felt different from the others to me, because it didn’t follow the usual pattern that so many other story quests and character hangouts do. I also think that it was a necessary predecessor to this current quest, as it showed how Ei was slowly awakening and learning to see the potential in a new way of life. However, I must say that this latest quest was definitely better in terms of intensity and overall entertainment. There was a lot of plot development, which is something that Genshin Impact has sorely needed for quite some time now. The voice acting and dialogue was some of the best we’ve had so far, and honestly this particular story just felt much more meaningful than almost all of the other Genshin Impact stories that have come before (In-game, at least. Not really referring to the comics/manga). So yeah, I definitely hope we get more quests like this one in the future.
I thought u said "didnt LIKE the last story quest" and was about to lose it again thinking about the upcoming essay...then I read it more clearly and went "oh." Hahaha, you speak the truth tho 👍
In a way, I feel like Makoto's way of interpreting "Eternity" parallels Scaramouche's perspective when he last confronted the Traveler. The way he phrased it, "Eternity stretches things out over a long time. But each moment within it becomes all the more fragile." versus Raiden Makoto's "Eternity extends time into infinity. Dreams illuminate each moment within." sound almost too similar to be considered a coincidence, while at the same time holding two very different meanings due to their views of the world and humanity as a whole. I just thought it was something a little interesting to note.
actually both of their views are kinda right?(ig) scara's pov for ex is like how humanity have been living for a long time but gets boring or even worse. while makoto pov for ex is like how people doing things they love and some of them invented revolutionary things.
Scaramouche only figures some of it, so his view, although have some similiaries to Makoto's, ultimately means something completely different. Maybe someday he will understand the second clause (Dreams illuminate each moment within) and become truly free, like Ei and the Sacred Sakura.
I think Scara's views are basically Ei's before 2.5. He's basically saying that even if you could stretch things out over a long time, you're still susceptible to loss during that time. That's why Ei felt that she needed to take extreme measures, to protect the fragile nature of things in humanity. Whereas Makoto's and Ei's are that you need a little bit of both to truly shine.
There is actually a lot of philosophy debate over the idea of eternity all these stories evloved around, just sadly no one picked up on it. I personally interpret Scaramouch's line as his perspective is that eternity is a weakness, one that he can expoit (which is actually true.)
For me who is very interested in philosophy, the debate of philosophy of Eternity is what interest me a lot in the whole inazuma quest, especially the sacred sakura. First thing to notice is how Makoto says the sakura tree can escape the grasps of the heavenly principle. Although we don't really know what the heavenly principle is, I believe the heavenly principle is what we IRL refers to Entropy. Entropy is a concept mainly in physics that describe all things will fall into a state of disorder. In simpler words, all things will decay. This cocept is also present in Honkai-impact(anti-entropy), the other game of Hoyoverse. As Honkai can be interpret as the end of all things, it can also be interpret as the physical manifestation of entropy itself. Zhongli and Ei always refers that the erosion is caused by heavenly principle, if we replace heavenly principle to entropy, it makes sense. You might think entropy is bad, but it is what gives time meaning. According to Stephen Hawking, "Entropy is what distinguish the past from the future, giving a direction of time." without Entropy, time won't just stand still, time wouldn't even exist, meaning everything won't exist.(Maybe that's why there must be a sustainer of Heavenly principle(entropy)). Now, given entropy/ Heavenly principle can't be stopped, then how do we "escape it" without breaking it? The answer is Eternity. Both Ei's and Makoto's method of Eternity is a possible solution theoretically. Ei's previous ideology of Eternity is that the flow of time is stretched to infinity, in a sense, the flow of time is stopped. (This is similar to the philosophy of Eternity during the Age of Enlightenment IRL, which suggest "eternity is a permanent now"). Ei's idea was to slow down time indefinitely. Basically, it usually takes one second for one second to pass (ah yes, the floor is made out of floor) but, by stretching out each second to infinity, u are technically still moving forward in time, but u will never be able to move forward, meaning entropy is technically happening, but doesn't actually. (It is a paradox, but a paradox that just so happpens to be close to the laws of entropy, but also escaping it). However, as we proved to Ei, this is simply not possible, as humans are still progressing. She might be able to achieve Eternity herself, but not everyone else. Moreover, by stretching each moment to eternity, each moment also become meaningless, as time is not moving. That's why Scaramouch says, "Eternity stretches thing over a long time, but each moment within it becomes all the more fragile." Makoto's idea is a more abstract one. Her philosophy views eternity from the perspective of existence outside of time, many religious philosophy views eternity this way. If time is a dimension that can be measured, then to the perspective of higher diety, both past and future are part of the infinity duration, in other words eternity. That's why Makoto treasure every moments in time, as all of them are part of eternity. If a single moment is missing, there is no eternity. Now rmb how Entropy is the direction and movement of time itself? This whole concept revolves around the idea that time is an arrow: like the xyz axis. Meaning it can have an end and a beginning, and so everything will move toward the end point. However, we don't necessarily know if time truly flow that way, or at least we don't know how exactly time flows in Teyvat. If time flows like a circle, then there is no start point, nor an end point. Meaning Entropy is still happening, things can still decay, but that decay also bring about the beginning. This is the concept of the Ouroborus (ahem, the world serpent in Honkai), the serpent is always consuming itself. It will always produce waste, the tail will be consumed, but the serpent is also always growing in length, producing the things it needs. In this quest, with the birth of Sakred Sakura tree, the flow of time has officially become a circle(at least the tree did). The Sacred Sakura has provided the support past Ei needed to cope with her experience, until she reach the point she get the seed, then Ei plant that seed that the Sacred Sakura tree needed to grow. Time has become a circle, in other words, Eternity is achieved, and escaped the Heavenly principle (entropy). This is why the traveller said time in that realm is flowing foward and backward at the same time. If time is a circle, when u move forward, u are approaching the "ending point" but u are also approaching the "starting point", moving backward is the same. With this very complicated explanation, we truly understand how beautiful the moment Ei planted the seed truly is, and how 5head Makoto is. I am not a philosophy expert, only interested in the idea of eternity in philosophy, so I am not sure if everything I said is correct here, but given how Hoyoverse is approaching with this topic, I think I got the gist of it correctly.
For sure, but she's finally gotten closure for her sister's death and she actually got to say goodbye this time. Makoto will be remembered forever through the Sacred Sakura and Ei's rule.
Yeah just because the quest is short doesn't mean the story will end at that moment. More like watching episodic anime with cliffhangers. Funny when Inazuma just released, people who speedruned are disappointed for the story xD.
Although I enjoyed act 1 very much, I must say some of Mihoyo's short term storytelling need some work. Not saying they are bad, but they sometimes fail to grap audience attention. Act 1 relied soely on humor and the philosophical topics to catch people attention, but the humor is subjective, and nearly no one pick up on the philosophy behind Eternity (because it is a very difficult topic). There are only some actions at the very end, but its kinda late. Just like Yae quest says, u need something to grab people attention for a great story, even if sometimes it is cheap thrills. They could have added some elements of intrigue, foreshadowing to make people wish for more. This is a problem even for even Honkai as well. Still, their long term stories never failed to pay off and I would say it is justified.
This story quest was crazy man. Much much better than the previous one. Hella impressive. I felt so sad for Ei. And... oh my God, so many hints here. And the voice actor Anne yatco, she did freaking amazing. What a professional VA! 👏 👏 👏
I had the Japanese voice acting honestly both were so fucking amazing!!! Like omg this was so fun to do, I loved this quest and can’t wait to fight the new weekly boss more!
Her previous one set a really really low bar for sure. This one is quite good. Basically covered everything I wanted her last one to cover and the act that followed. Plus it ends on easily the best designed boss fight thus far to boot which promotes actually playing to its mechanics. This was a fun one.
Everybody's talking about Ei and with good reason, but nobody's talking about the Shogun AI. It's honestly refreshing to see a story about AI where it accepts being reprogrammed rather than sticking to it's original protocols and killing or rebelling against the creator in the process.
I also find it hilarious that the first thing she says after making peace with Ei is basically "okay, but when are we doing our next 500-year duel? Because this was kind of fun."
First few fights and impressions. I am enjoying the new boss. Far more fast paced. Keeps you engaged almost all the time. She has multiple kinds of attacks that deal massive damage. (My diona shield breaks so freaking fast) I did run zhongli shield. She can break it very quickly if i don't dodge attacks (mainly because she attacks relentlessly) Her ultimate phase drain Energy practically all the time until after you deploy the shield to avoid KO. In which case you gain energy back. She will 2 to 3 shot you in ULT phase. So without a shield. You'll die very quickly and she has wide AOE that's a little more challenging to avoid for the common players. If they were to buff her. It be her HP. She is locked at 90. Wished she hit at least level 96 for WL8 players and AR 50 and up. But I think that might be lethal since she deals massive damage and attacks multiple times with small moments to deal heavy to her. (Also she blocks attacks just like childe. ) (Also you cannot just sit there. She will attacks you in 10 seconds of no movement. So don't expect some slack. On another note. You don't need electro but you need to be quick and find that Sakura Ball. Otherwise you'll need to sacrifice someone that won't cause a big impact to your outcome. Takes at least 3 to 5 hits. So get to it. Also don't use electro against her in ult phase. It's basically useless.
To note, properly playing to her mechanics, such as breaking the nodes when she does large AOE attacks actually leave her with proper openings. Additionally I've seen it is possible to break her guard stances sometimes for another opening or alternatively back away for her to let down the guard or she might counterattack.
@@gameboy8010 Well I never said you can't break her guard. Also I already mentioned there are brief moments to deal damage. But not long to the point of killing her in one round (as we know some bosses are like this)
@@oscarfunez3806 I'm just adding on to your points. Is all. Very much agree this is a fun boss and maybe the best designed mechanically in this game thus far. Actually promoting risk reward factors or heavily pushing you toward playing to its mechanics.
Fun Fact: The English VA for the Shogun and Ei also voiced Makoto! Her voice was so different to the point where I thought she was voiced by someone else
I shed tears for Ei all the way…. IK her story because I had her since she came out i maxed her friendship so i read the whole story i kno she misses her sister and her friends and is suffering from PTSD which causes her to be so antisocial and defensive to society’s norms, but Im happy she got some closer she had so many emotional break downs in the quest i just wanted to hug 🫂 her and say “ Be strong Almighty Shogan, your transition to modernization will be harsh but Im (traveler) here for you.” So much feels in this story Im deeply attached to Ei and Zhongli, they have some impact on me with the things they endure and I can relate loss of loved ones all too well…… it is a pain that shifts yr personality drastically and hardens yr heart and tightens yr focus 🧘♂️ (Edit) Thanks for all the likes May the Archons continue to guide us to Celestia’s unknown truths.
@@sidhart8667 Venti has a lot of stuff that he hides from us. He's cut down mountains, survived the Archon War and was responsible for making the Archipelago. Then there's the fact that he's probably related to Istaroth, who helped Makoto in planting the Sacred Sakura.
By far the most interesting part of this quest is the conversation at the Narukami shrine. We get Yae doubting they could have made it back on their own then referencing the god of time, then a full screen shot of Paimon saying something to the effect of "now we see who is pulling the strings" and finally Yae seemingly thanking the Traveler for helping get Ei back while STARING AT PAIMON.
EXACTLY! Even at Yae Miko story quest, we can see many scenes centered at Paimon. Feels like we gonna get a reveal or something to do with Paimon in near patches. Maybe around Sumeru release.
@@RFEZR Whatever Paimon is, she is clearly somebody or something important. Ive seen two theories about her that I really like; either she is like Guoba, a god that lost most of her powers or like the Sakura tree, she isnt a god yet but will become one and therefore always was one. A "The flow of time itself is convoluted." type situation.
I feel like this quest should be an archon quest. It reveals so much about inazuma and important stuff such as the god of time and the writing on this quest is really good.
Yo on the first appearance i thought it was an archon quest haha... BTW i've made a genshin 2.5 cutscene with colosal/armored titan theme ..mind if u have a look on it?😅
This is probably the first time that we've been hearing about Khaenri'ah, ever since the past few conversations with Dain and Zhongli. Though Zhongli doesn't wanna talk about it, we still haven't heard anything from Venti yet. Hopefully, he will say something about it in the near future.
Her voice actress did a PHENOMENAL job here. And the writers too! I was among those who felt underwhelmed by Raiden's first story quest. But now? Raiden's character has been absolutely redeemed in my eyes. Now that's a Shogun I would follow for all eternity.
The way you could tell she wanted to say something so many times, such as "i always felt indebted to you." and she shook her head like she wanted to say it's okay. Or when she asked if the sakred sakura did the trick, her hand relaxed like she wanted to cry.. So many times during makoto's talking ei wanted to speak and it was easily seen how she was thinking.. Nearly brings me to tears everytime i watch it because i just want to hug and console her 😢
I am actually so glad that mhy didn't made traveller fight in Ei's place. It was her battle and she fought it. Plus, it really shows that Ei was ready to face and solve consequences of her own actions
This is all I wanted for Ei and I really felt her loss. And having Hoyo making this a weekly boss is amazing I can get to hear my favorite boss theme every week, and the design for the raiden shogun is amazing
Why I am going to pull for baal 1)Have a booba sword. 2)Her design is one of the best. 3)I can control the power of Archon for 8 seconds. 4)Her eyes light up. 5)Massive boost for damage and ER for my team. Great improve in her story. Good luck for everyone pulling for her

I like how the traveller didn't do anything in this 1 on 1 honourable fight this probably my one of my favourite character story 1 is zhongli and 2 is Ei
Yeah traveler literally done nothing lol Like "omg we must go and help Ei fast!" comes at the end of 500 year old fight and does literally nothing, except looking lol Tho what could the travel do, both are gods and traveler has no "ambition" boost from 99 vision bearers, just an insect against Shogun
I'm sure people were disappointed with the first Ei story quest. However, I think this was a necessary step toward story II. Story I explored how Ei perceives the people she governs. They showed how they display honor, discipline (Kujou Kamaji) and culture (dango milk). As mundane as those seemed to be, it shows how Ei is changing. Not seeing her people governed with an iron fist but with understanding of how people, their mind and culture change.
@@yakz9600 imo, the entire first half of the zhongli 2nd quest was tedious and boring. 1st one with salt god was way better. But yeah agree with others.
Well in her Ult phase. She's immune so her shield won't break at all. I would suggest Pyro and cryo. But you'll need to be fast in deploying the shield with no electro in the team. Otherwise you'll die easily and possibly miss calculate which character to sacrifice and might screw you over. Just saying. The fight is very fast paced.
Thank you so much Anne Yatco for the wonderful experience. The pain in Ei’s voice broke my heart into pieces especially the parts before this where she talked about her past. And whoever wrote the dialogue?? Thank you thank you thank you!! It was like poetry and I got chills every line. This story quest made me love Ei more. I am so attached to her, will pull her in the second phase 😊
You didn’t have to eat food you know, Ei here automatically regenerates to full health upon reaching 1HP. Shows that her will was unmoving and she could withstand erosion.
The clever paradox here is that ei accepting change ironically lead to the recreation of the past, having ei as Makoto now and the shogun as ei was previously. So basically change and growth solved the problem unlike eternity which aimed to keep it from happening again
I’m sorry but the implication that Makoto is also in correspondence with Istaroth, the God of Time just blew my mine. We know Venti is, since there are shrines of the God of Time in Mondstadt. Seems like Makoto understood Eternity better than Ei.
@@yakz9600 yes, though I don’t particularly care about their ruling. Ei thought Eternity was complete stasis. That the flow of time goes from one end to another without change. Makoto understood it as a malleable line, that can be bent and broken. And to be in cahoots with the God of Time herself? Now I’m more interested in learning about her, sadly it looks like we’ll never get to see that.
this is giving me a nostalgic its like ei is fighting herself more like naruto is fighting his darkness and the tailed beast and makoto arrived almost like kushina uzumaki soul meeting her son
Imo this should be Archon Quest Chapter 2 Act 4. The lore that Ei gave us is so much 🤣 and I'm actually so glad that she was the one who told us that information because she experienced them, it's just that it was so painful to her that she dared not to speak of them. Fun Fact about this Boss Fight during Raiden Shogun's Story Quest, it's impossible to lose. When your HP fully depletes, it restores your HP like non-existance!
Anne Yatco did AMAZING here, you can really tell which Raiden is talking Ei sounds careful and concerned Makoto sounds soft and fragile The Puppet sounds aggresive and robotic
You can tell that Anne Yatco did a brilliant job voicing Raiden Shogun, Ei and Makoto. You can tell the difference between the three characters: that there is something about Makoto’s voice that gives off the feeling she has reached enlightenment and has found her inner peace before the war against Khaenri’ah. Raiden Shogun’s voice comes from one who has fought many battles that it was her way of being is nothing but fighting. But Ei’s voice is a combination of both, she seeks to find clarity and to reach enlightenment like Makoto has done so in the past, but she is one who has fought many battles, that fighting was her purpose. But Ei has found a new purpose rather than violence, that is why her voice is more solemn, that she still misses her sister that she found dead, in contrast to the Raiden Shogun’s, I can imagine that was her voice before she longs to see the one who is no longer there but mellowed due to her emotions crying out.
I related so hard in this quest. Is it because i have a twin? Twins or maybe extremely close siblings have always the dependent and independent one. Ei is obviously the dependent one and should be guided by her twin. Makoto's death dealt a great toll on Ei and it clouded her judgement for the future of inazuma. Makoto knew this because she knew Ei more than anyone. My life is unhealthy because i am still over dependent to my twin. I wonder what will happen if i will walk my own path someday.
Everyone keeps saying part 1 of ei's story was bad but they don't get that part 2 would not have been as good as it was were it not for the story for part 1. And part 1 was necessary for Ei to see the current state of Inazuma and the inevitability of change.
@@rajadarshidash1016 yeah I think it isn't that simple and more over how Makoto predict there will be a external force who will help Ei to understand the Makoto's insight of Eternal.

I feel like this story quest might give us some hints about the heavenly principles itself, though not a lot, but i do hope theorists would come up with interesting theories for this.
i like how in the first cutscene ei who was holding the musou isshin was not even surprised how traveller appeared out of nowhere but in the monologue ei was like "ayo whaaat?" but either way this story quest has to be the best that ive played the cutscenes , the lores , the voice acting everything excels in this quest
The Inazuma soundtrack is EVERYTHING🙌🙌🙌the leitmotif that plays there is the one that gets associated most often with the raiden shogun (it even plays in her teaser & demo) so hearing it while her older sister is speaking just adds another layer. I love all the recurring melodies that they’ve incorporated into this soundtrack (because you can hear that pattern in a lot of places)
Oh yeah, I’m definitely saving for Ei now. I lost the 50/50 on Ei the first time she was released, but I have 60-some Fates saved up now with 3 weeks to gather more, and I’ll even spend money on this game if it means she comes home this time. Sorry, Yae, maybe in a rerun.
Ei's VA voicing 3 different characters and making them all sound different enough from one another. She really is amazing.
the 3 characters are triplets basically, really salute the VA and the director

Bruh, venti is hella underrated too; he is actually one of those that done the most work among the archons, especially at the early days of Monstadt, it was already hintef from from golden apple archipelago, unreconciled star event or even Dainslef collected mischaleny about venti, and hell even it was being mentionef several times, monstadt was once mountanous frozen wasteland not lush green as we know now, it is barbados aka venti who use his power to cut down the mountains and throwing them off to the sea, in what now becomes haar island or golden apple archipelago, and throwing the largest mountain in Tevyat, pylos peak, to the sea, to what is now, musk reef, aka the location of spyral abbys, not only that, venti also drive off storm from monstadt, so monstadt will be the land without storm this is the thing that have been said by that girl with church of favonius uniform at the area around stormbearers mountain, venti also taught people of monstadt how to harness wind and taught them how to build windmill
all of this is the reason why monstadt being nicknamed crown if the north
After all of this he goes off to sleep, but from the manga, he definitely didn't have control over his sleep, and even ask himself how long has he been sleeping, and wake up to monstadt already under the yoke of Lawrence clan, this is my speculation, but he looks like overspend his archonic power especially since he is a god that didn't get worship at the beginning, vannesa's rebellioj would be impossible to succeed without venti's direct intervention, and he once again handed monstadt to it's righful owner, the people
Fast forward during catacalysm , venti and dvalin are the one that defended monstadt from the attack of the largest dragon that ever roam monstadt, durin, you can see the remnants in dragonspine mountain, in which why the mountain being named like that
And idk if you realize it, monstadt archin quest are the only archon quest where the archons actually greatly help in handle the crisis, without venti we stand no chance against corrupted Dvalin, hell without venti we wouldn't survive at all

Who was complaining? Oh yea I forgot people literally complain about EVERY thing no matter how big or small, good or bad. Sad world
In a way, I feel like Makoto's way of interpreting "Eternity" parallels Scaramouche's perspective when he last confronted the Traveler.
That's why Scaramouch says, "Eternity stretches thing over a long time, but each moment within it becomes all the more fragile."
Makoto's idea is a more abstract one.
When she said "Good bye, Makoto" it hit me hard. The pain in her voice. I felt it. 🥺
For sure, but she's finally gotten closure for her sister's death and she actually got to say goodbye this time. Makoto will be remembered forever through the Sacred Sakura and Ei's rule.

Mihoyo is playing 4D chess while idiot complainers are stuck in 2D thinking.

@@yakz9600 Unfortunately, that seems to be the truth with every fandom.

I went from nonstop crying throughout the entire quest
How did you see the screen while your eyes water
Lol
I cried a bit 😅
@@jonathan.k7492 I don’t even know because it was 12:30am when I was playing it
The first quest set up in my opinion, one of if not, the greatest story quest in the game…
The best story quest in my oppinion same level with zhongli 2nd story quest, childe, and itto
@@yakz9600 imo, the entire first half of the zhongli 2nd quest was tedious and boring. 1st one with salt god was way better. But yeah agree with others.
I loved that cutscene especially the way ei holds that sword
Yess
Raiden with Burst unlimited is just scary. Does this boss have a high Electro res?
Not really
Well in her Ult phase. She's immune so her shield won't break at all. I would suggest Pyro and cryo. But you'll need to be fast in deploying the shield with no electro in the team. Otherwise you'll die easily and possibly miss calculate which character to sacrifice and might screw you over.
Just saying. The fight is very fast paced.
No. However, her shield is hard as an Electro Abyss Lector's and is softer to Cryo like that of an Fatui Electro Warhammer. Takes time to break.
Her eng va is Anne Yatco
You didn’t have to eat food you know, Ei here automatically regenerates to full health upon reaching 1HP. Shows that her will was unmoving and she could withstand erosion.
The cutscenes were so beautiful
I really love this story quest! The goodbye hurt lol, but I'm happy that they were able to talk to each other one last time.
This story quest is like the extension of Inazuma's Archon Quest
I was crying at the time ei say goodbye Makoto
The clever paradox here is that ei accepting change ironically lead to the recreation of the past, having ei as Makoto now and the shogun as ei was previously. So basically change and growth solved the problem unlike eternity which aimed to keep it from happening again
I’m sorry but the implication that Makoto is also in correspondence with Istaroth, the God of Time just blew my mine. We know Venti is, since there are shrines of the God of Time in Mondstadt.
Seems like Makoto understood Eternity better than Ei.
That is why Ei admitted that herself cannot compare to Makoto's ruling. She knew that her sister was the superior ruler.
Ofc makoto is better at rules inazuma and ei is better at fighting because ei is never have experience to rules inazuma
@@yakz9600 yes, though I don’t particularly care about their ruling. Ei thought Eternity was complete stasis. That the flow of time goes from one end to another without change. Makoto understood it as a malleable line, that can be bent and broken. And to be in cahoots with the God of Time herself? Now I’m more interested in learning about her, sadly it looks like we’ll never get to see that.
i got so hyped when they referenced Istaroth. Istg i'm waiting for Venti's 2nd story quest where we learn more about his connection to her.
@@Ash-qd2ke This explains the Sudden Appearance of the Sakura tree. Her Sister literally went back in time to plant it.
Ei, Raiden Shogun and Makoto has voiced by onlu one VA right? Im really impressed.
i think so .. their sound look familiar .... BTW i've made a genshin 2.5 cutscene with colosal/armored titan theme ..mind if u have a look on it?😅
this story quest was immaculate, i love ei so much
this is giving me a nostalgic its like ei is fighting herself more like naruto is fighting his darkness and the tailed beast and makoto arrived almost like kushina uzumaki soul meeting her son
Imo this should be Archon Quest Chapter 2 Act 4. The lore that Ei gave us is so much 🤣 and I'm actually so glad that she was the one who told us that information because she experienced them, it's just that it was so painful to her that she dared not to speak of them. But now, she has the courage to face the present and future. ♥️

I hope all doubts and hate towards Ei have been crushed to dust now.
Fun Fact about this Boss Fight during Raiden Shogun's Story Quest, it's impossible to lose. When your HP fully depletes, it restores your HP like non-existance!
The vision with the Sakura Tree that Makoto showed to them kinda reminds me of the environment inside the Elysian Realm in Honkai.
Ei didn't even need to reveal her final form to defeat that Raiden Shogun but Raiden Shogun immediately did
500 years of constant battle. And the game make it look and sound so normal.
Well for god's 500 years is nothing
Anne Yatco did AMAZING here, you can really tell which Raiden is talking
Ei sounds careful and concerned
Makoto sounds soft and fragile
The Puppet sounds aggresive and robotic
12:16 reminds me of scene when master oogway past away.😭

I don't think a lot of ppl know that ei will heal herself in this duel , u basically don't have to waste any food and u just win

I didn't even heal her, But I came in clutch so
Bro, this scene is just so Multiverse of Madness-like! I need to be faster in playing my Commissions!
“Your biggest enemy, is yourself” - Sun Tzu, perhaps
This was good enough to be a archon quest
I related so hard in this quest. Is it because i have a twin? Twins or maybe extremely close siblings have always the dependent and independent one. Ei is obviously the dependent one and should be guided by her twin. Makoto's death dealt a great toll on Ei and it clouded her judgement for the future of inazuma. Makoto knew this because she knew Ei more than anyone. My life is unhealthy because i am still over dependent to my twin. I wonder what will happen if i will walk my own path someday.
Ei and raiden are the same person right? I don’t get this
The only boss in game that is able to one shot my 50k hp zhongli with shield
Try playing "I'll Face Myself" from Person 4 in the background after you beat Raiden, trust me it'll make the scene feel a lot cooler
That's what was playing in my mind, when I fought her.
im shocked when i was in ult state when fighting with raiden shogun.. it was epic
This is the best story quest so far idc
Imagine someone seeing this with no context about Ei, Makoto, and the Puppet just screaming trying to understand
Everyone keeps saying part 1 of ei's story was bad but they don't get that part 2 would not have been as good as it was were it not for the story for part 1. And part 1 was necessary for Ei to see the current state of Inazuma and the inevitability of change.
Haters in genshin sub are a bunch os simpletons. Don't forget these are the same people who thought Bennet was trash at first
Ei Story Quest Part 1: "Alright grandma lets get you to bed!"
Ei Story Quest Part 2: "I am shadow...the true self!"
"How come you have not changed at all in all these years?"
Yep, the Travelers are going to bring back the dead in the future.(probably)
Or the pace time in the domain really messed up.
Yeah time is weird there
@@-ss-8606 I did some research and it's a lot more complex situation than we think. Theorycrafters will probably explain it in the future.
@@rajadarshidash1016 yeah I think it isn't that simple and more over how Makoto predict there will be a external force who will help Ei to understand the Makoto's insight of Eternal.
@@bagongerwae2159Makoto took help from an Elder God named Istaroth/Kairos/Thousand winds of time aka the God of moments to pull all this off but the question is when because Kairos is long dead.
Man I just realized that we had unli Raiden Ult in this fight. I was too hyped for the battle and the soundtrack to have noticed it.
3 characters with the same VA all talking to eachother
Anne Yatco *understood the assignment* 💅
the reason why traveler can enter ei's other dimension(related to space and time)is because of paimon is with traveler. only one with God of time's presence or blessing can travel to Ei's other dimension. that why yue miko look at paimon when talking about God of time.
I feel like this story quest might give us some hints about the heavenly principles itself, though not a lot, but i do hope theorists would come up with interesting theories for this.
i played a while ago and yes you didn't need to eat to heal. The healing comes along with ei's "awakened mode"
i like how in the first cutscene ei who was holding the musou isshin was not even surprised how traveller appeared out of nowhere but in the monologue ei was like "ayo whaaat?"
but either way this story quest has to be the best that ive played the cutscenes , the lores , the voice acting everything excels in this quest
This is what we need, the unlimited sword mode Ei. Sadly we only get her robot normal mode :(
I kinda feel bad for people that doesnt know Ei can heal herself when fighting shogun.. And just waste their food
That was fast
11:51 THE SOUNDTRACK 😭😭😭😭😭
