perfect vid. thanks! i wasn't sure why the center of the case was still attached . Kinda surprising that they pinned it with a clip instead of a screw like normal.
If my product is still under warranty, I'd prefer to seek the help of a Dell technician to clean the air vents, change the heatsink or reapply the thermal paste.
Not sure cleaning the vents out is really a warranty issue? I make these videos primarily to help fix their machines once out of warranty or in the event of accidental damage though.
@@BrueComputing For your information, in Myanmar, Cambodia and mainland China, all branded laptop computers have at least 3 stickers - some of which have holograms - pasted on the back covering the holes where the screws are. Warranty is void if any or all of them are peeled off. In these countries if the product is still under warranty and if the air vents need to be cleaned, one will take it to an authorized service center for the task.
I had a Dell technician over and he opened the screws in the back first, breaking the rear plastic clips. Leaving huge gaps at the rear. They don't even know, how to open their own products properly 😂
I am facing touchpad issue on my 5620. Erratic movement after sometime of use. Works fine when shut down and then restarted. Pls help with some solution...
This seems to be a known issues with Dell laptops which is being caused by a bad ground. An easy fix if you know how to solder. Check out the video below. th-cam.com/video/4xGq5gmKEAA/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=DashRendar
My girlfriend's inspiron 16's lcd cable seems to be damaged or loose, the screen goes black if its moved just a bit and the only way to get it back on is to wiggle it around. Before looking into the problem i didnt even know what an lcd cable was, so im way out of my water here. Looking for how to at least try to unplug the lcd and plug it back in before spending the 100+ on asking best buy to do it, we're poor enough with all our college payments. Any help if you even see this would be a godsend
Did the trick for me! Hardest part was getting the darn plastic case back on evenly LOL! Thanks for posting this!

Hi! Nice video, it helps a lot. By the way, can I add a second SSD to this machine? What type of SSD? Thanks for the help.
No, there is only a single M.2 slot. I go over upgrade options in another video here: th-cam.com/video/iGxaPn9qedI/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for your reply.
@@MrDST78 No problem.
What kind size screw driver used? Where can I get one? Iowa

You wouldn't by chance know a resource to get a fan replacement, would you? I'm having alot of trouble finding one
I can see this on Amazon UK: amzn.to/4flFYKD
Good video. Can you make a video about how to clean the fan? Thanks
You take it out as per the video and clean it with a brush or vacuum?
@@BrueComputing yes, with a brush.
is there the option of a 2.5 ssd next to the battery?
Do you have a UK affiliate link for the RAM?

The video is really useful.
Could you answer my questions?
Is the laptop hinge durable? Is it replaceable when it's broken?
Thanks.
The hinges are metal and should be replaceable, but the service manual doesn't cover disassembling the display assembly.
