I have the base model 4xe Grand Cherokee, 40mpg and 47 mpg on first two gas fillups. In Pennsylvania, I have a .082 kWh fixed rate, so it costs me much less to charge the battery, then paying for gas! Love the max regen button, as well! Get one, you won’t be sorry!
I have a 2006 Chrysler 300 2.7L and it’s been a dream. Floats and ride better than better than my previous 2014 Altima I owned. I can only imagine how the newest 300 top range drives like. I love it
Likewise, our 2017 GC Trailhawk has been awesome after about 90K miles. Air suspension is a great feature and has had no issues, and Openpilot provides fatigue-reducing hands-free steering for long drives.
Best vehicle Jeep has made. Period. It's a perfect balance between lux, fuel economy, off road and looks. Just wait till they have discounts and get the extended warranty.
I’m so glad that this qualifies for that tax credit and that this is American because the new law that has passed is really gonna make people reconsider foreign electric cars especially very expensive ones . I’m quite sure people buys these type of vehicles because of that tax credit which is what attracts them to buy PHEV’s and BEV’s.
Thank you! Great information. Here it is only 2 weeks left in the year 2023 and Jeep is now offering some nice discounts and incentives. I applied for one today...local dealership has 2 identical TH's same color and price...both stickered at 69K but with discounts and incentives both are now being offered for 60K each. Honestly I think I'm in love with this Trailhawk. I have a '20 Rubicon only 17K miles and I like it very much but I will trade the Rubi if I can get a decent monthly payment on the Trailhawk.
I’m just curious because I couldn’t help notice it. How come you guys had 1 old Hyundai key fob because I assume the grey one for the Sonata but I quite confused on the older fob.
QUESTION: What kind of acceleration numbers would this vehicle get if the Plug-In system had run out of power, and it was ONLY running on the 2.0L Inline 4 cylinder engine?
I've been researching this vehicle and test drove and ordered one. Apparently it keeps a reserve in the batteries so you won't be without that extra help from the electric motor. Assuming you're not doing something extreme with it. It can recharge itself. Plus it has that motor generator and a pretty torquey engine. I was liking how quick it was, then I found out the one I was driving had 0 battery range! The only thing I can't find an answer to is what kind of MPG it gets when it's on e-save and charging the battery. Not exactly an answer to the question, but...
Not saying this is cheap but range rovers are way more $$$ this looks about the size of the Range Rover sport so that’s the model I would assume someone would compare it to
I agree. The new Range Rover PHEV has a battery with twice the capacity (35 kWh versus 17.5 kWh) and fast L3 DC Fast Charging as well. Nice example! I'm not sure if the Range Rover PHEV has high-power AC outlets as do the Rivian and F-150 Pro Power Onboard trucks, that feature would sure be nice to go along with a PHEV drivetrain.
I ran across your channel looking for 4xe info. Noticed your Wrangler 4xe review "smile scale" is at 4 and this is at 3. Its the same powertrain. Are you just more used to the feeling of electric power now? Just wondering in comparison between wrangler and JGC. Thanks
“America’s Range Rover” might be a push. Jeep is owned by Stellantis, a company from the Netherlands. This is built in a Fiat platform, the former owners. Although it is assembled in the US.. so I guess there’s that. 🤷🏼♂️
Stellantis was formed from a merger between fiat and Peugeot's parent company, it is headquartered in the Netherlands, but is still basically fiat. This vehicle was designed by fiat for this generation based on the alfa Romeo suv platform prior to the merger and is still using all their tech, the merger didn't really effect this vehicle. Prior to stellantis/fca, it was owned by Mercedes which is what the previous generations platform was based on.
I saw a 2024 overland 2day and it looked phenomenal. If i was a millionaire i wouldnt even own an exotic vehicle. I would totally just buy 20 different daily drivers 🤣🤣
If we're going to call this America's Range Rover we would have to make everything, every single option, ala carte and obnoxiously expensive for no reason.
This is not an American Range Rover. Very nicely appointed, but no Range Rover. Competition would be the Volvo XC90, Volkswagen Touareg (if it still was in the states), Land Rover Discovery, and the Lexus RX. Most will buy the Limited and Overland trims, but few will feel that the summit and reserve trims aren’t even worth it.
Good points. I wonder if there will be a Plug-in Hybrid option for the Land Rover Discovery, now that would be interesting especially if it has a bigger battery pack (like 35 kWh) and Level 3 DC Fast Charging.
Did a 1300 mile road trip on the 2024 version, nice car but let me say terrible handling...maybe thats just how a Jeep feels but this thing can't take a curved road.
I don't know about the Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe because that's like Electric and I don't really trust electric cars right about now and I know you guys have a Tesla Model y but I will have to think about it and actually drive one before I get a Tesla or any other hybrid SUV or sedan if you know what I'm saying
Trailhawk - which is a true off-roader - is only available as 4Xe in 2023; V6 and V8/Hemi are no longer available - epic fail by Stellantis!! Piano Black center console is a dust, fingerprint, and scratch magnet. Other reviewers, and owners, claim the integration between the Electric motors and the underpowered 4 cylinder gas engine is problematic. A 2022 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk with the Hemi is Jeep's best premium off-roader - this is NOT it!!
I noticed that 2022 trailhawk HEMI are basically impossible to find used. I can't even find a review of the 5.7, only the 3.6 trailhawk. i wonder if they actually produced it.
Stellantis designers are among the worst out there. Between some of the exterior eyesores, and the piano black in the interior, I'd take a Floridan 60 year old woman that lives in the sun over this thing. Absolute garbage
Great video of the Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe!!! Great job Drew and Mason!!

Until you have to drive it a long distance or you can’t charge for long periods of time…..
My mother owns a 2014 GC Overland. The reliability for her has been immaculate. Nothing outside oil changes and a few things replaced

Same here. My 2014 Overland has been amazing. 152K miles and still going strong, but I have a 4xe on order.
My Chrysler has almost 131k Miles on it and I’ve driven to hundreds of miles at a time without one single issue
2014 Summit here and $112K+ miles and no real issues other than recalls.
Best vehicle Jeep has made. Period. It's a perfect balance between lux, fuel economy, off road and looks. Just wait till they have discounts and get the extended warranty.
Sounds good. Haven't seen any on the road yet, so maybe there have been some issues to fix before they start shipping.

Thank you man, I have been waiting for a review of this particular model for a very long time!
For somereason the dealorship is saying that the tax benefits only applicable of its a lease and not a finance
Is this a 2023, or a 2022? The all black wheels shown don't seem to be available on the 2023 model.
It's hard to quantify this vehicle and especially with it being mainstream @$73K, but there is no other vehicle
Have you heard of a BMW X5e ? Taking that every time..
@@NewEra0G yes, but an X5 is a pavement queen. This does all of that plus will go deep offroad.
@@hellkitty1014 that is a plus but I'd rather the performance for the money over off road, which I've never done..
I love the 2022 Grand jeep Cherokee, it’s very nice!!! Love it
2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee WL Trailhawk 4XE Black Package!
Jeep is awfully proud of their stuff, and while it's cool, it ain't worth it. That said, this is a nice vehicle.
I never did like any type of air ride I don't know why any vehicles have it And when it fails it fails
I wish you talked about the differences between the 2023 vs 2022. The only thing I noticed was the blacked out rims
Thank you! Great information. Here it is only 2 weeks left in the year 2023 and Jeep is now offering some nice discounts and incentives. Thanks for watching! Hope it works out for you!
I love the grand Cherokee. Keep up the great work
IDK. It is the price of a well equipped Lincoln Aviator, Genesis GV80, Volvo XC90, etc. I know Jeep is going up market though.
Awesome Video
what is the mpg in hybrid mode?
I’m just curious because I couldn’t help notice it. How come you guys had 1 old Hyundai key fob because I assume the grey one for the Sonata but I quite confused on the older fob.

Love this jeep!!! 🤍
While Jeep definitely has stepped up their game, it’s not on the level of Land Rover. Now if we’re talking about reliability…

Jeep is more reliable but both suck at reliability
@@justSTUMBLEDupon Not anymore? Ours has been rock stable reliable. Now I've jinxed it for sure 🤣

Well I haven't driven them back to back to confirm, but I think the Wrangler felt a little lighter and quicker accelerating

Hi Car Confections How Are You Can You Try To Make A 2022 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe
Excellent video!
Thanks, as always!
You forgot switch to sport mode.

Nice looking car but notoriously have also had issues with reliability.
What were the issues?
didn't you guys measure the cargo lenght :(
That's a newer thing that we started doing this year. Hopefully we will test out another GC soon
Both of them are really having someting in common. Unreliability.
Sorry folks. Gotta state that.
$70k+ and no HUD?
Seriously?
Not worth more than $40K
They did a lot wrong with the exterior design and 2020 is a very nice part of the past
A lot of gloss. Lots of fingerprints.
Good review but endless money pit
How? It isn't even 3 months old.
