When the regular GC came out I was still not totally impressed but the decrease in weight from the WK2 was a surprise. Now with the 4xe, I’m sold! I want an EV because most of my trips are right around 30 miles, but I also take longer trips and still have range anxiety. But you still get Jeep/ Dodge/ Chrysler service department which sucks compared to BMW and Audi service department . Well at least here in Austin . At Audi they always have the nicest people and tons of loaners available and at BMW north Austin they have a full size movie theater and free snacks while you wait for your vehicle . But at Jeep all I get is an angry service advisor and a shuttle that smell like cigarettes 😭😝 not joking . Thanks again Joe !
These are the first reviews I look for before checking out others. Love the work that goes into these!! Longevity and depreciation wise I'd go with the Lexus but gotta see what conclusion you came to.
Jeep has really come a long way. This car sits more in the segment with the Lexus GX than anything. If I were to lease, I’d choose this over the Lexus GX because it offers way more amenities, is way more refined, has up to date technology, and is more bulky for rough terrain/weather. If I were to finance, I would choose the Lexus GX for its bulletproof reliability and higher resale value. Still, the Lexus GX is a boring dinosaur of a car nonetheless.
Wonderful review as always. Thank you for bringing in. Have few questions. In long highway trip after electric power is exhausted how is the power? Is it still able to pull well? Also what is the maximum tire Trailhawk can accommodate?
You're videos are the best!! I know the jeep was you fave. If you are spending this kind of money hands down Lexus all the way. I just got the hybrid Jeep Grand Cherokee as a rental while my Lexus is getting repaired. It drives so heavy, is so slow and just not a fun ride. It's like driving a truck. I guess that's the appeal to Jeeps. The screen is so annoying....you can hardly see it and is accident prone because it tilts upwards. The lexus entertainment system is tilted to the drive which is great for an easy ride and safety purposes. The other super annoying thing is you have to hold the buttons down when you push the panoramic sunroof which takes forever! Sorry, no one can beat the Lexus RX!
Perhaps Lexus has a more premium image, but this new Grand Cherokee looks a lot better than a RX. And it's bigger, heavier, wider tires, with more off road capabilities as a bonus. Also compared to the just revealed new RX plugin.
The level of equipment, performance and efficiency is really impressive but I “rewound” the video when you said the price. Is not that bad if you think that that particular model is superior in every aspect to a Land Rover Sport.
