      But it nosedived when DeeDee left. That actress with early onset Alzheimers and the other actress who played the character (Chris?) Novak were completely useless and nobodies compared with DeeDee. Hunter may have lasted 7 seasons, but it really only lasted 6 for all diehard Hunter fans.

    Hunter was a great series the first season did suffer from 'hey I've got a great Idea the son of a mafia guy becomes a cop'.
    'Great this will be cool.' a few episodes later
    'I'm out of ideas, let just pretend that never happened.'
    'Yeah works for me'
    but it went from strength to strength with that great 80's action movie feel and Fred Dryer just played the role to perfection and Stepfanie Kramer that's how you play a strong female character Brilliant series and I'm so glad you've got the series here great work

    Stephen J. Cannell was on a roll with this and the A-Team just to name 2. Hunter was a show that wanted to hit all the buttons. I busted out laughing at some of the stories. Yes so 80s. Loved the guns. Dessert Eagle, his H&K P9s with compensator. The Spas 12 Shotgun. I had a Dessert Eagle and Spas 12 shotgun, just from this show. Crazy. Stephen J. Cannell was the account I took care of their copiers too. I used to kid some of the folks what new shows are we going to see, and what kind of trouble Hunter was getting in. Good times.

      @stuartsharman3055 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's the reason why I avoided Hunter when it first came out in the 80s, the character seemed just to be Dirty Harry's TV version.
      Bit after a while, the actors in the role seemed to develop a real chemistry, and Dyers mean cop became a role unique to him.
      I've matured into Hunter over the years. It turned our to be a great, thrilling show.
      In UK, I think our version was Dempsey and Makepeace. It was so overblown and corny.
      Hunter was better.
      Glynis Barber was NO Dee Dee Mc Call

      @Lexa Con I was 17 and a senior in highschool when I received the car, courtesy of my mom and grandma. It was an awesome car, even teachers envyed me. I almost got a 1987 Chrysler Conquest TSI. The salesman actually talked my mother out of it! You can imagine how upset I was.

    • @djacksonafter700
      @djacksonafter700 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @djacksonafter700

      @Lexa Con Owning that car, a sports sedan. Influenced every subsequent choice of vehicle I purchased. I am approaching 50 and have never owned a coupe or sports car. My next car was purchased by me with my aunt as cosigner. At 19, I took a few steps up to a 1987 Sterling 825 SL. It was expensive and exclusive. I remember my car payment was $275 and the insurance was $150. This was around 1993, I worked a full-time job and was a full time student at DeVry. I use to get plenty of attention, being that it was a import sold through Cadillac. Miss that car too.

      @Lexa Con Yes, I loved that car! Thanks for the video link. I had the same 2-tone color, except the wheels might have been slightly different. Everywhere I went, people would ask me about it. I remember going to a dealership to test drive a Buick Grand Sport because I liked the style. When I approached the salesman, I asked him about it. He looked around me and said. "Why would you want this, when you have that?" I kid you not.

    I couldn't help laughing to see that poor Dr Boland fell off the building. What a funny scene. Simplistic plot, but I loved this TV series when it was aired in my country in late 80's.

    James Whitmore listening intently to Brian Dennehy just cracked me up. Like a poodle looking at his master with great pride and affection. I'm surprised Jimmy wasn't salivating.

    I watched these as a kid. Back then nearly every show was a "family show".
    Cop shows today show more blood and violence than the news.

    As a young girl I had a crush on Rick Hunter. I always thought that he and McCall belonged together and had awesome chemistry. I have always thought Rick regretted in his heart about not proposing to DeeDee….

    I enjoyed Fred Dryer's appearances on 'Cheers' as sportscaster Dave, giving authentic pro ex-jock attitude in comparison to Ted Danson's faux jock Sam Malone. Stephanie Kramer played the brunette half of a female detective duo who was helping the three guy characters in an investigation in a 'Riptide' episode, and just loved her character's saucy riposte to anything or anybody that she didn't care for, "Oh, get outta town". WHO IS THIS ACTRESS???!!!, I remember thinking over and over.
    Stephen Cannell must of wondered the same thing, and like a Reese's chocolate peanut butter cup, two into one cop show made quite a tasty television treat for eight seasons.

    "Hunter" destaca-se pela trama envolvente, repleta de reviravoltas e suspense, mantendo os espectadores ansiosos por mais a cada episódio. Os personagens são habilmente desenvolvidos, proporcionando camadas emocionais que aprofundam a experiência. A cinematografia cativante e a trilha sonora envolvente contribuem para a atmosfera única da série.

    I vaguely remember this show. I was very young. I didn't understand the storylines, but did enjoy the action scenes.
