Where were all those pushy vegans when I was vegetarian? I keep hearing about all the pushy vegans. If only I had known at least one, I'd been sooner the vegan.
I'm glad I didn't sit on a permutation of a vegetarian mindset before going vegan. So many cows and chickens might have been affected. I have me my tastebuds rejecting milk after taking a non vegan 3 year water break from milk to partly thank for that.
I went vegetarian at 14 and then vegan 2 weeks before my 20th birthday. 4 years later I'm 24 and still vegan. I work in a club and I'm told all the time I look toned and like I work out, not frail or thin. I don't workout, I just eat food that fuels me vs harms me.
If eggs are ethically sourced can someone please explain how eating eggs is bad? Chickens lay eggs whether we eat them or not I am vehemently opposed to cage and ‘barn’ laid eggs but free range I don’t see the problem.
Free range is often a marketing scam - often sometimes free range chickens never go outside Also chickens even when local, often are selectively bred to lay seven times more eggs than they normally would, which can cause harm and deficiencies to the chicken. These deficiencies, often calcium, lead to the chickens pecking at their own eggshells to try and recover the calcium lost from laying such an unnatural amount of eggs

The German company Plantegg uses a PCR method, which uses DNA to determine whether the hatching egg is male or female. Like In Ovo and Seleggt, this method determines the sex on day 9 of the incubation process. This method is expected to be ready for use by the end of 2020.
@@dawnshimmerglow2259 im not sure it’s been adopted by every single hatchery worldwide yet… the main concern should be helping companies adapt their business model to feature new technologies that are more flexible for animal welfare
This is a detail of a much bigger issue on multiple levels.... cruelty, exploitation, climate change, extinction level event and general environmental meltdown. We don't need this technology. Have you tried JustEgg?
There are other reasons why someone who is consistantly applying certain fundamental moral considerations would reject being ovo regardless of a scenario where early incubation sexing would be the industry standard.
In the egg industry, all the baby male chicks are killed 1-2 days after they are born. This is because they won’t lay eggs. Chickens are genetically bred to lay 300 eggs a year instead of their natural 10-15. This is very hard on their bodies and causes a lot of pain. Also, by eating eggs, you are supporting the idea that animals are a resource to be exploited, and not individuals.
Well, if you don't care about what happens to the animals, & you don't care about the cruelty, the billions of baby boy birds slaughtered the day they hatch, still attached to their eggs even, or females being forced to produce so much (typically 9-13 eggs a YEAR but through hormone treatment - that you also eat - they lay that many a month or more instead & it slowly kills the hens, who have arthritis & extreme pain & other malformations, etc.) they have no calcium left in their own bones to hold them up, etc, there are a lot of things still bad about eggs. The health authorities declare no egg seller is allowed to declare eggs healthy, healthful or part of a balanced diet - it's illegal in fact, there is a law in most countries banning selling of eggs as healthy because they are THAT bad for you, but just like the mask stuff, government says people should make their own choice about what they stuff in their face, even if it harms & brings torture to another being that wants to live. Hopefully there will be many pictures of what eggs do, both to the animal & to the body on packs of eggs just like they are packs of cigarettes.
@@MrMikedeel there are over 300 million egg laying hens each year. This means 300 million male chicks are killed. I’m not talking about the eggs hatching. I’m talking about the chickens that lay the eggs
There is a moral argument for veganism, but it isn’t the healthiest diet for humans. Our digestive system is far closer to that of a carnivore than that of an herbivore.

where can i learn more about specifically why eating chicken eggs is bad ?
So true
bless as always
Eggs sold in super markets are not fertile so there is nothing happening to the young chicks because there is no chick in those eggs
Just think this plant based are the most sane vegetarian close second vegan is super insane
Aren't egg in the market unfertilized that mean they will never hatch
Or is there another reason why vegan don't eat egg
