    I don’t know, if I own the property I would be sitting there somewhere, maybe front room with a book watching him fish and feel like it kind of relaxing. Watching and thinking “how’s the fishing?”, “oh, he caught one - what did he get?”, “nice fish”, etc. Maybe it’s just me (without knowing the back story, maybe property damage, etc) but I wouldn’t really care and enjoy watching them fish - I may even throw a line 😀

      @herbsuperb6034 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Indeed. Especially when it comes to panfish, which so many people target for food, you should always put the biggest, strongest, toughest breeding fish back in the lake. You do more damage to the fishery harvest fewer really big fish, than more smaller fish. Small fish are supposed to be weeded out. Harvesting at random (keep the first ones you catch, and be grateful) is the best way to ensure that 'survival of the fittest' is maintained. Selectively harvesting the biggest specimens is really destructive.

      There is absolutely nothing about this encounter with the land owner that equates to harassment. Harassment it not having a conversation, or arguing or anything remotely like that. Harassment of a sportsmen has to involve physically trying to stop somebody from participating in their activity. For instance, if he tried to go over there and grab their stuff or get in front of them or throwing stuff in the water to scare the fish or try to run them off with threats of violence. But just bothering you and annoying you is not sufficient enough to be called harassment, sorry.

    I have watched a number of these videos and I'm still trying to work out what the issue is. If you have a licence, you are on public property or an easement, you are not disturbing any peace and are at the correct legal distance from a bridge, what is the problem? I understand the human quality of claiming ownership of what is not yours but once the legal points are defined S.T. F U. and deal with it.

    Maybe I'm Captain Obvious here, but instead of retracing your steps back from the bridge to your fishing spot, why didn't you just put the wheel on the ground where you were standing and measure back to the bridge? You could have saved the cop from making another round-trip.

      Because he may not be exactly one hundred feet if he starts where he is and heads to the bridge. Best measurement is to go to the bridge and start from there that way there can be no dispute that he is 100 feet from the bridge.
