"How to Plan for a Monthly Layout" was one of the ideas for videos I asked for in the poll/questionnaire that you sent out Jess. Thank you so much for this because all I usually see regarding planning for the monthly is just, pick a theme and go! Me: Easier said than done guys😂 I watched most of the live but because I came late, I watched the replay too and put notes in my Reference Journal 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I literally found this channel yesterday, and I've been watching all of the things to try to get my life together. I have a pre-made journal (yes, I know, herecy) but I'm just starting my journey and trying to start with only the rapid note taking part each day. I'll deal with themeing and making a "pretty" journal for myself some other month. But it's still fun to watch. Thanks for this!!
I've been bullet journaling for years, but really simple pen most months because planning out themes always overwhelmed me. This guide for planning was so good, I think it's helped me so much and I'm so excited to plan out February. Just another sort of "reset" routine I can make a habit :)
Thank you so much for this - it was super useful! I finally finished planning a theme and implementing it! Usually I get stuck and just give up, so it was amazing to actually complete the process! Thank you!
I loved being in the live. Your live inspired me to go beyond just my penciling the information and diving into my sticker stash. I just embraced that it isn't going to be internet inspiration swoon level of aesthetic, and I'm just going to have fun. I went through my stickers (most of which were former address labels) and just stickered up January! I went with wild North America wilderness kind of theme with each spread having a different bent. Almost all of them had a photograph quality to the imagery so the style of the artwork held it all together thematically. - January monthly goals were flying eagles (seemed to also embody my word of the year/ theme of forward the most with the eagle flying). - senic vistas for the monthly spread -Week 1: bears -Week 2: wolves -Week 3: More Vistas -Week 4: ducks - Monthly Review: Chipmunk congratulations sticker. (There wasn't too much room, but double whammy with the aestetic theme and the sticker words). Also, the planner itself came with gold shiny stickers since the planner is gold shiny and camel color with stark white pages. So I used the gold stickers on the Yearly Goals/Themes two page spread. I also had some classic appointment kind of stickers that I am going to add on the weekly spreads as memory keepers and for my monthly exercise tracker, anytime I get over the 150 American Heart Association Point score on Google Fit for the week, I am getting a sticker for that too. Basically, I discovered that a sticker as a reward works incredibly well for me. I guess I never grew up. Lol.
watched this while unraveling the crochet cardigan i messed up and rewinding the yarn by hand (took over and hour) and this was so nice and companionable. thanks for the tips!
Team Replay here Drink of the day is Kiwi Guava Celsius drink while I curse the person who took my blood-draw yesterday and bruised both my arms. I have a broken elbow, and she didn't believe it didn't straighten. so she SHOVED ON IT! T.T But I am behind on my journals and can't concentrate on writing. So here's to hoping I can get some Journaling done. Happy new year everyone!
@@JashiiCorrin Thanks! Your voice really helps keep the soul calm, makes me wonder what it would have been like to have you as a teacher. :) probably would have done a lot better in science xD
Color swatch question: what do you do with markers that don’t have numbers on them?? 😖 I just got a set of staedtler watercolor markers and they have nothing on them to distinguish from each other. I love the idea of making a swatch page in the back of my journal to help pick colors, but I’m not sure how to keep them straight.
I had the same thing with the Staedtler Triplus fineliners; nothing to distinguish them on the barrel, just on the ones I bought individually which had a barcode and number on the back. I found the colour names and numbers on the Staedtler website though, so they might have them for the watercolour markers too 🤞
@SchoolWorkInProgress I have some pens where I have this issue. Some have numbers at least but with the ones that have nothing at all I labeled them myself. It was a bit of work but worth it. I used some regular printer paper that I cut into small pieces, put a color name on (you could aslo just number them) and then I put a piece of clear tape (that is bigger than the paper) on top. It has held up so far. Hope this helps :)
Hey! Sorry if this is mentioned in the live and I've just missed it - what is the square grid notebook used for notes? It's super cute and I love a square grid! I live in oz and planning to fly home to nz this year to see the whanau... /decent/ chance I can get my hands on it if it was a local purchase:)
Hey Jess, I sent you an email with the notes I took in google docs for this video. Hopefully it will save you some time in creating the resource for the team.
Thank you? for introducing me to PET tape and the Washi Tape Shop for same...my brain is definitely thankful, but my bank account would prefer to not know.
Here for the replay while I finally get my 2024 set up done. 😆

A pre made journal is a fantastic way to start!! I'm new too and I'm excited to learn a lot ❤️
No shame in starting with a premade one

Thank you so much for this, the only video I needed to watch to abandon my fear of how the hell to pick a theme 😂❤ much love x

Between the markers you have, do you recommend a particular brand? Also are alcohol-based better or do you recommend we get water based ones?
This is so fantastic, love it ☺☺☺
Thanks 😊 hope it was useful!

Oh dear, I hope you’re okay! Or like, as okay as you can be. That’s rough 👀

That one is a flexible ring notebook from Stationery Pal 😄💜

Very appreciated, thanks Danielle! 😄💜
Have you ever bought a journal that has it filled in? How can you make it your own?
