    We call chores 'quests' for our castle. I also refer to my self care as husbandry and enrichment -- some use system maintenance.

    I just wanted to let you know how helpful I found this video. I have been doing bullet journalling for several years, but having ADHD, I always struggled with having a planned approach to creating a new journal, and because it was not created with a plan, it was not particularly organized, and so I would stop using it halfway through. I think this is going to help me immensely. Thank you!

    I've started setting up my nujo already and had a moment of "oh no! I should have preplanned!" while watching this. But honestly, it's a bujo. Things can go wherever, whenever. And that's such a freeing notion.

    Yeah, I always do that with the eraser. And I notice that the bullet journal layout setup that you have or bullet journals ARE PERFECT

    every time I have an idea for a spread on my bujo I make a rough draft of it in a separate notebook. Its a notebook I have specifically for spread ideas. I think it helps me a lot, cause I can choose which one I like the most a tweak it accordingly. Its very useful to me!

    *runs in* I'm here on the replay because my puppy has been a chaotic terror today (after the both of us slept in lol)
    I'm trying to determine truly what I need and want in my journals and what I'm including because I think I'll use it or because it's 'normal' to include it lol but one thing I know I love including is reflections (weekly/monthly/quarterly depending on how I'm feeling)

    21:16 I also found the spreadsheet invaluable too, for working out how many pages for which section and if what I can fit in my book (turns out I need one that's in between 160 & 192 pages long for 6 months).
    47:30 Around The World by Daft Punk 😂
    6:55 when you flipped to the 23's page, I instantly thought of the Bic 4 colour pen and also thought that might be an option (especially for minimalists) as it's just 1 pen, it fits in a pen cup and they now have and are introducing other colours besides the standard black, blue, red & green.
    I also grouped some frixions highlighters together with a rubber band ( I myself must have colour).

    i like to keep my start of journal very neutral and then i use the month color to mark things up, like in my 23/23/2023 i use the color pen that the month correlates to in order to mark them off. i can then also see what months i do the most. and i don't need additional pens.

    • @JashiiCorrin

    if you don't want to rewrite a y@ag, you could scan it and rescale it on your computer and print it?
    an option for bill tracking would be (if you know the dates/month at least) to put it on your future log. you said you don't know the dates now, but it could be smth you keep track of & do next year? idk

    • @JashiiCorrin
      @JashiiCorrin  ปีที่แล้ว

      I do have a year at a glance printable for 2023 that I could use, but I don't mind writing out the numbers really 😋 Keeping track of the bills this year and using the info to populate next year is a great idea! 💪💜

    Hi

  • @lilbluefreak
    @lilbluefreak ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Ummm.... so hear me out. If you're repeatedly getting board halfway thru the month EVERY single month because of a stagnant layout design or what have you, then WHY do you keep locking yourself into a full months theme and setup if it's not serving you? If you can only last just one or two weeks before itching for change then why not change the way you set up your journal? Do weekly or biweekly setups instead of monthly and switch it up accordingly. Like, I get wanting cohesion "cuz it looks pretty" but if it's a chronic problem that keeps plaguing you month after month, year after year, then maybe you need to consider WHY you keep doing it and if it's REALLY for your benefit or if maybe its for ours. If it's not working for YOU then I think you should change it. I've been watching alota your vids lately, still trying to setup my own journal, and I've noticed this complaint of yours keeps coming up time and time again. Idk. I just think you wouldn't have to feel so stifled at the halfway mark if you just listened to that small inner voice and just stopped painting yourself into a corner so to speak. If you can't commit to a weekly design then maybe you could still do a monthly layout like usual, but then leave each week blank and ONLY color it in when going into that week and not a moment sooner so you can still fulfill that creative need more often. (Imagine tho, getting to do 26 or even 52 layouts a year instead of only just 12! Food for thought, lol.) Idk, I'm just really worried that your maybe doing all these monthly setups for other people's benefit and not necessarily for yourself, and as they say, man can not happily serve two masters. Idk, just sayin... you should really think about my advice or in the very least consider what makes you so dead set on doing it the way you've been doing it if it's not very satisfying to you. (Your layouts ARE really pretty, but is pretty more important to you than functional?) 🌠🤔
