Hey Everyone! I'm adding the TH-camrs you guys recommend as well as the ones I forgot to mention to the description box to have a quick reference so make sure you check that out. Keep 'em coming!! 🩷
Glad to see a video from you! 😄 On the topic of your journal size considerations, I'm Team "Follow Your Joy" 😛 B6 is super cute, A5 is great, A6 would be fun! I'ma watch regardless, haha
🥰 That's pretty much where I'm at right now too. I just want to be in all the sizes! 🤪 I'm like 90% sure my reading journal will be A6 for 2025 though.
Hi tracy, i just wanna tell you that i love your new style and i thought i was the only one who noticed that currently im not finding that much of bujo content here anymore but there's a few channels that still create that kind of content, besides yours, that im subscribed rn like Erin Smith, Bujo by Filo and Mingo Studio. I think its a great idea that we can share our favorite creators here on this video so we know where to find more. Thank you
i personally am loving seeing the bullet journal vids here. i feel like more creators are branching out from "hand draw everything perfectly" to using stickers, stamps, ephemera, and I really enjoy it! I find it makes everything so much more accessible for a wider variety of people. I use a bullet journal for my main planner and I exclusively use stickers and washi and a pen to draw some lines. I love this scrapbook/junk journal style! Its's so beautiful!
I stumbled across your channel for the first time. You were in my suggested to watch list. I watch the same bullet journallers that you do but I also watch Planning with Kay and Erin Smith.
I literally just subscribed today before this video posted. I have been kind of EVERYWHERE in planning style since I started in college in the 80s - color-coding my work and school schedules in a spiral weekly planner from the drugstore! I LOVE your style of bullet journaling. I have just finally settled in to realizing it (bullet journaling/bound notebook) is what I need in my planning. I cannot paint or draw like the bullet journaling channels that are still around these days, so your channel was a refreshing discovery for me. My bullet journal is a productivity tool, but I need it to also be a creative outlet. Unfortunately in this “influencer” world we live in you will see the content start following trends as people try so hard to be like others. I’m more interested in people who just stay true to themselves, their style, what works for productivity for them. Those are the channels that inspire me. I have used everything from pocket to A5, rings to bound notebooks and the portability of A6 is what is currently working for me. Wow! So many words. Happy to have discovered your channel. I look forward to coming videos. 😊
Oh my gosh, YES, to all of this! I feel like my style changes from month-to-month and that's one reason why I stopped TH-cam for so long. It's so hard to keep up with the changing trends but the feedback I have gotten has been the same, do what you love and people will be inspired. I really do love the A6 size, I think my next reading journal will be an A6 Sterling Ink notebook. It's just so cute! 😁
I watch a lot of bullet journal content: JashiiCorrin, Erin Smith, Charizze T, Bujo by Filo, etc. All very creative, consistent, and inspiring creators. I always have a new video to watch. As far as journal size goes, I don’t think I could ever use a journal smaller than an A5. It would feel too cramped for me. I use an A5 for my bullet journal, an 8x8 square for my reading journal, and I have a B5 I’m probably going to use for my next reading journal.
Oh yes, how could I forget about JashiiCorrin and Bujo by Filo!?! Those are both immediate watches for me. My first Archer and Olive notebook was a B5 and I LOVED it but I tried an A5 and LOVED it. Now I'm in a B6 and I LOVE it! I do think the only reason the B6 and the A6 are working for me right now though is the page count. I feel like I have so much more flexibility with the 520 pages so the smaller notebooks don't feel as small.
@@TracyTylerRevell That’s a great point about the page count! I tend to use two A5 journals in a calendar year at the 192 page count. I actually might have a hard time filling 520 pages lol!
I was reading the comments to see if there were any suggestions of bujo channels I could watch, and I had to double check 😆 All those are great channels I watch regularly, didn't expect mine in the list 😲 You made my day! 😍
I definitely agree that there seems to be fewer bujo content creators around at the moment, I really love watching videos from Savannah Scribbles, Erin Smith and also Mochibujo. I love your designs this month, you can't go wrong with a junk journal style set up with lots of collaging, love it ❤
I also started bullet journaling 5 years ago. I tried some fancy layouts for a few months. Then it got simpler and simpler. So for years it has been only a two -page spread each month. The left only starts with Nov 24 big up top with a few appointments noted underneath. While the right is a full page habit tracker. 31 days x all the columns across. I put the column labels in the middle and have slim colored lines separating the subjects. If I want to brain dump or record what I've learned, I use a lined journal instead. It is fun to watch your videos for an escape from my neatness, but I need to work on my goals and I don't find the cute stuff encourages me, just distracts. I just started a new bullet journal for the pretty stuff. I want to track my specific exercises, but daily doesn't matter, only totals for the month. So I get to use more colors and a few rows for aerobics or common strength exercises like squats. This can also have boxes for gratitudes, pen colors, social contacts and the like.
This is one of the greatest things about the bullet journaling community, we can all do something completely different and thrive off of it but also enjoy watching and supporting others thrive in their own unique system. 🩷
Always happy to watch your videos! I don't know if creative bullet journaling is dying, didn't realize the trend was changing lol I hope it doesn't though, it's a great tool for so many things! Setting goals, basic organization, creating, and honestly taking time to just think, which is becoming a luxury I'm not ready to renounce to 😆
I hope it sticks around for a while too. I'm not sure I'll ever get sick of the customizable options. Your videos are an immediate watch for me as well!! I love everything you create! 🩷
I enjoy watching Erin Smith - I enjoy her bujo style. I use Plum Paper Planner for my basic planner but I use the disc bound and add additional pages and decorate away. I’m glad you’re back.
I love this! I've done this in my happy planner a couple of times. I had a period I was making my own junk journals. I am leaning towards getting back into bullet journaling again.
I love your content! I have recently started junk journal/scrapbook journal/creative journaling but I've always done journaling. Now that I have more time, I want to add creativity to my journaling. I used to scrapbook and I loved it! It is fun putting them both together!
Loved this video and set up Tracy!!🥰 I can so relate to wanting space for decorations because it's pretty and fun, but on the other hand, keeping spreads simple is much more feasible sometimes. I like your mix of having spreads with more decoration and others that are just functional. It can also be a difficult balance to find between doing what works best for your personal planning, and also trying to make content that other people will enjoy and find helpful! That's something that I often think about😅
Thank you! 🩷 Yes! The balance can be very difficult with the content side of things but, as you know, this community is so great that it's totally worth it! Also, I just watched your October Reading Journal setup the other day and I am SO EXCITED for your 2025 Reading Journal Setup. I can't wait to see what notebook and layouts you go with! 😆
@@TracyTylerRevell Yes, it's nice to be a part of such a kind online community (especially when they're not all like that)!! And aww thank you☺ I've been doing a lot of brainstorming on themes and spreads haha
I have been creating bujo content on my channel this year and they are my least preforming videos, but I love making the spreads lol so I keep making it for me. I agree Anna and Hedda’s channels are my favourite, I watch every video they create (I do they with yours as well!!!) I am trying to figure out which journal to use next year A5 is a pretty fun size 😊
So happy to see a video from you! Tbh you're one of my favorites to watch. And I guess I haven't really noticed the lack of bujo content because the content that I watch is transitioning with my interests, naturally. I think that I'll be trying out a traveller's notebook type of system for the first time. I really want to be more consistent in journaling but I am so sick to death of needing multiple journals for different things. I'm not carrying all of that lol. Maybe this will help me keep it all in one place but readily available.
Thank you! I'm still so up in the air with what I want to try for 2025. 😆 I want to try it all but I agree, carrying around multiple notebooks is not ideal.
Honestly, after spending so much money on buying planners this year for the first time and experiencing buyers regret, I find myself relearning to bullet journal! I do agree finding content and inspiration is a lot harder these days. I’ve been journaling on and off since 2015.
That was me last year when I was in a big bullet journal slump. I experimented with SO MANY planners and systems but ultimately came back to my one true love. 🤣 Make sure you check out the description box of this video for a list of TH-camrs that all of you guys have given me, I'm going to try to keep it updated so we all have a place to go when we need it. There's A TON of inspiration that I didn't even know about!

I only got into bujos in 2021 so I can't say how it was before but I feel like there's so many to watch haha some that aren't in your description yet that I follow are RyeMi, Coffee Journal Naps and Tritopus Journal
In response to your question, I always preferred busy and colourful spreads on a personal level, so to me who, for the life of me, can't draw well, it was incredible when I found your channel and you used a lot of layering and journaling supplies because I could be inspired on how to use supplies in my own journaling. I obviously still love your videos and get very excited when you post one - but like you said, the space isn't there in a smaller journal to decorate as much as you used to. I can appreciate minimalistic journals and spreads as well, but I definitely prefer ones that are more decorated for my personal use, so it's natural for me to look for that in videos when looking to be inspired. Personally I could never use a smaller journal than an A5 I think. I haven't tried any other sizes, but I don't think I'd like them as much as I need to decorate my journal and also don't have extremely small handwriting. I like having the space they provide. All in all I think you should go with whichever journaling style makes you the happiest. You're the one that uses your journal every day and whatever you post here should be in line with what works best for you. For creators I don't watch as many channels these days so I'm at something of a loss of who are still out there and what new creators have filled the space left behind by those who quit. Mochibujo, Journaling Away, Plant Based Bride, Mingo Studio... are the ones I still watch regularly.
This is great feedback! Thank you! I think my "style" changes so much from month-to-month that it's so hard to make a decision! 🤣 but I think I am leaning toward a larger size for my bullet journal (at least for the first half) and the A6 for my reading journal. Who knows what the 2nd half of 2025 is gonna look like! That's future Tracy's problem! 🤣
@@TracyTylerRevell That is true, you can always go back to a bigger size if you miss the decorations and then go back if you change your mind lol. 🤣 As long as you do it for you and not for viewers' sake!
I agree with you, there is a transition happening in the bujo community. What I’ve decided to do is look for the new wave of content creators. There are a few out there. With respect to the sizes, the A6 is so small. I’m planning to use my first B6 in my 2025 planner lineup.
The A6 is REALLY small. I agree. I used it in October, November and December of 2023 as my everyday bullet journal and it worked ok but I obviously wasn't loving it because I went back to the B6 in January. 😂 If you don't mind me asking, what B6 did you go with?
Sometimes I watch Amy Plans Things, Leela Journals, and Ana Bruns. I love watching content that inspires me to create. While elaborate bujo with lots of painting and drawings is beautiful to look at, it’s not something I’m going to do. I plan weekly and how I decorate depends on my mood, schedule, and the allotted time I have to do it. My perfect planner would be 4-5 blank pages, a monthly calendar and weeks all grouped together. I’d love space to create a monthly cover page and maybe a recap or currently, but I don’t want to draw my calendar and weeks lol.
If you like Journal Away, you will like Charizze T. Similar style, do watercolor or gauche with a calm soothing manner. Also, try "Julia here." She has a fun, young style :D
I personally use a B6. I was using the big bullet journal which is a B5 I think. I got way too overwhelmed in that journal to fill it up every month. There was way too much space. So I went to a small bullet journal and I LOVE my little bullet journal. I only put in my bullet journal items that are coming up in my week , like using it like a calendar. I use a Hobonichi (A5) which I LOVE and write in every day without fail and I keep an every day journal (A5) that I write my deepest and darkest and happiest thoughts in that journal.
Yes, B6 is like the Goldilocks of sizes I think. I also use the Hobonichi Cousin but I use it for keeping track of my day so that when I go to do my creative daily journal I can remember what happened that day.
I actually love your set up. I think the decorations are just right. ❤ I usually search bullet journal and kinda have a hard time looking for videos that are recent, yes, there are still creators out there who upload religiously, but i think the pool kinda did got smaller. Or maybe youtube is just bot giving me a variety of results 😂
Thank you! Yes! I absolutely think the TH-cam bot has taken over my feed!! 🤣 When I search bullet journal I usually get older videos as well or the same videos I've watched a thousand times. 🤣
Tracy, it seems like when Kara Benz left it seems like the trend started to die down. Jashi Corrin has a wonderful channel here. This November set up is very lovely.
Oh, DUH! 🤣 It's been so long since I've seen anything from Boho Berry (Kara) that I didn't connect the name! Yes, she was so creative and had some of the best bullet journal content...man, now I need to go check out her channel if it's still there. Thanks! 😆
I think you’re just out of the loop lol. We got jashi corin, Erin smith, plant based bride, amandarachlee, planning with Kay, mingo studios, planning with bumble, art n foxes. Those are just few of the TH-camrs I watch.
plant based bride, INTERSTEL'ART, JashiiCorrin, Erin Smith, Juliana- along with juournal away, muchibujo... So glad your making videos again :) I love watching your videos as well as peoples ever changing styles. OOOhh and question are you going to do a December set up like you've done previously? no pressure just wondering because I set one up like that and OMGSH christmas planning of gifts along with visits etc. was so smooth and not hectic and anxiety inducing as I knew when everything was my husband could also look at this journal just not the pages pertaining to him haha... So THANK YOU for sharing that. It's literally saved my life around the holidays !!!
Oh INTERSTEL'ART and Juliana are new recs! Thanks, I will definitely check them out! Yes, I do plan on doing a video on my Christmas Planner. Hopefully it's my next video. 😁 I'm so glad you found it helpful. I can't do the holidays without it! 😆
Bullet journaling didn’t work for me because I didn’t always have the time to create it, and then when I needed to plan, there wasn’t a spot for me to do it. So I had to revert to using it just for journaling
That is the one downfall to this style of bullet journaling. In 2023 I reverted back to a more traditional planner and it worked for a while but once I got my creativity back I immediately jumped back into bullet journaling. I am a firm believer in doing what works for you in the season of life you're in. I love all things planning and journaling and I'm willing to give anything a try! 😆
Your spreads are always so beautiful! It is fun to try different sizes of notebooks and see what works best for each one of us. In different times of our life, different notebook sizes may serve you better than others. Just go with one that fulfill your needs :) I also create bullet journal content. My TH-cam is on hold but I post often on instagram. :) I hope you like it xoxo

There's a lot of bullet journal people here. I'm one of them! Nice to meet you.
🩷 Nice to meet you too!
That actually sounds like the perfect planner! 🩷
I allways watch PlanningWithKay
I don't think I've seen that channel, I'll have to check it out!
If you like Journal Away, you will like Charizze T. Similar style, do watercolor or gauche with a calm soothing manner. Also, try "Julia here." She has a fun, young style :D
Love Charisse T as well. I haven't seen Julia Here though, I'll have to check it out! Thanks!
I usually search bullet journal and kinda have a hard time looking for videos that are recent, yes, there are still creators out there who upload religiously, but i think the pool kinda did got smaller. Or maybe youtube is just bot giving me a variety of results 😂
Thank you! Yes! I absolutely think the TH-cam bot has taken over my feed!! 🤣 When I search bullet journal I usually get older videos as well or the same videos I've watched a thousand times. 🤣
I love my planner and journals to be colorful and decorated. I tend to not use my planner or journals if they're blank.
Tracy, it seems like when Kara Benz left it seems like the trend started to die down. Jashi Corrin has a wonderful channel here. This November set up is very lovely.
See I'm so out of the loop that I have never even heard of Kara! 🤣 I agree, Jess has a great channel!
@TracyTylerRevell Kara Benz was Boho Berry
🤣 I think you're right! You guys have really come through with so many great channels!
plant based bride, INTERSTEL'ART, JashiiCorrin, Erin Smith, Juliana- along with juournal away, muchibujo...
AmandaRachLee is still putting out monthly spreads! PlantBasedBride too.
Oh yes, both immediate watches when they post! I don't know why my brain could only think of Anna and Hedda! 🤣
I’m glad you’re still doing them too!! PlantBasedBride is way above my skill level 😂
Hey Tracy…..Tracie here! May I ask where did you get the booklet of alphabet letters? Who makes them…..thank you so very much! Great setup!
Hi Tracie! The brand is OURS. I purchased mine from Pinky Elephant. They are currently sold out but here is the link tinyurl.com/3pzkm874
Erin Smith and Plant Based Bride both do bullet journal content here on YT and have for a while.
Thank you so much! I will definitely check it out! 🩷
Could you tell us where you got the notepad of alphabet letters? 😍
