Gene, that video made my day and my week! : ) I live in Chicago so I mostly do gear reviews in the winter, but when weather warms up, I found some crappie lakes and will try many of your techniques! I never fished for crappie before, but I learned so much from your videos, I feel I've got the confidence now!! Hahahah : )
This is just a Carolina Rig. It’s not new.
@@rogerlawton2240 no it’s not. A Carolina rig uses a swivel and leader and is not adjustable. This setup uses a rubber stopper and is fully depth adjustable. No charge for the schooling Bill Dance.
There is absolutely no thrill like finding big fish after catching a few smaller ones. Great show buddy

I love your videos, I used to crappie fish with my uncle, he passed away this past year. Im 57 and he was 84 when he died. He loved fishing more than anything and was good at it, he reminds me of you in a lot of ways. There isn't much difference in the folks down here in Arkansas and Alabama to be honest. Thanks for posting all the great videos, you make me want to go wet a hook! Great job!!

I'll politely decline, Sir. I've seen a couple of your videos. The drone stuff is cool, but I don't care for the music (I'm sure some do, it just not my preference.) You've got effects, but not much substance. I've read the beggin' for support on Ccom. My man Richard, is quite the opposite.

I have a bunch of those little pegs - tried using them for bobber stops fishing deep but they hung in the reel too much. Now I know how to put them to good use - thanks as always RG!

I love that trick. I use the slip bobbers with the rubber stop like that, but have never seen it used to stop a weight. Great! Thanks again!!

Awesome video Gene! We use this style rig here in MN as well. We call it Lindy rigging and mostly use it for bass and walleye. It's very simple and effective!

This one brings back memories! Was usually my go to spot....to see how active they were. Surprised you didn't show any sauger catches? Some days that Was all That bit! Even had several bank fishers throw them away like a shad or carp. Not my fault that they don't know they are tossing a WONDERFUL tasting (good for ya,lol) tasting fish....idiots lol. Sure I did, worked too. "I'll take em!" Lol

Another fine piece of fiming Richard , i use a similar method for walleyes its a deadly way to catch them. My first spinning reel was a 308 ccool to see one after so long. Keep up the good work!

Love your videos. You are a beast!!! I live in North Carolina it’s great to see you fishing the areas I grew up fishing on Guntersville. I have a buddy that has a place in Langston. I make a few trips back every year to target Crappie and it never disappoints. We do a lot of longline trolling. Would you consider doing a video utilizing that technique?
