What I mean is I can watch em with my youngins and I don’t have to watch em by myself first. Because I know you ain’t gonna go to talk like a sailor or have a hissy fit if you were to miss a fish. Even though I ain’t seen ya miss one yet I don’t think. I’m rambling on again what I’m trying to say Richard is thank you so much for making videos the way you do. Gosh this vid brings back memories. I have fished banks that look exactly like that and loaded the boat full of crappie. I love casting but found out trolling can be lots of fun too... using the light floats with a jig underneath. Id give $$ to spend a day on the lake right now. Wisteria is blooming and that means the fertilizer is passing thru an air moving device right now. Believe it or not I have had days where I caught well over 300 crappie in one day...and trolling jigs slowly under bobbers like that I had to stop using 8 rods and go to 2-3. I could not keep up with 8 rods by myself they were so veracious. Thanks for the vid... those overcast skies... light drizzle like that.. a PERFECT day to keep them fairly shallow.

Hey Richard I am a big fan of your channel, and I sincerely appreciate you sharing your adventures and fishing secrets that you have developed over the years. One thing that I have noticed that I hope that you can explain in one of your float fishing videos is what do you do to keep your float up the line a little so that it doesn't slide all the way down to your jig? I don't notice where you are using a small split shot or a swivel so I am curious what you do? I haven't seen you explain it yet so I would appreciate it if you would show us what you do. Keep up the good work and stay safe out there.

So i been fishing Sacalais (Crappie) since i could hold a rod. In the spawn on a hair jig i fish them similarly. While I use a hair jig on a very small float i twitch the jig very aggressively. This is prespawn about two week prior to them actually laying eggs. While the limit is 25 in Texas i can boat 100 fish easily. 5 days week for 4 weeks. No problem...i have to admit the suttle difference in my setup makes all the difference. Gene clearly know where he is and where they are. He has got these fish down to a science. Its Jan 30th 2020 and in two weeks it will be on until the end of March. Good fishing to all.

MrLemaire1 One thing is for sure where I fish for Sac a lait...people say they only bite when the water is "Right" aka when the water level from the river drops. However, a good set of electronics plus a little know how leaves the lake empty of people and less pressure which equals more Sac-a-lait for DA POT! 😂

Richard, I am truly amazed by the way you catch those crappie. It seems like you can catch them no matter the weather or the conditions. I've just begun to get into catching crappies and I did get into a real good one this winter threw the ice. I really want to catch more this spring and summer. I watch every video and I've taken your tips and wisdom to heart. I do have a lot of questions for you. One of them being why do you always retie your jigs almost every time? And how come you don't use a snap swivel?
