The BIGGEST CRAPPIE EVER CAUGHT on VIDEO?!

  • เผยแพร่เมื่อ 16 ก.ค. 2021
  • In this video, I put on some miles VERY early in the morning to capitalize on a bite I have only dreamed of until now.
Like I said in the intro, this video does not have as much talking as most of mine do, as I am literally tip toeing around the dock, whispering, trying to not scare any of the giant fish.
Catching a crappie of this caliber is a dream come true, and I hope it happens again before i kick the minnow bucket!
Once the sun hit the water, the fish were GONE! But the memories are forever! THANK YOU FOR WATCHING, PLEASE LIKE, COMMENT, AND SUBSCRIBE!

Grew up in the 1970's and early 80's in East Texas catching crappie up to 4 pounds. We expected to catch fish like Ty was catching in this video. But, people kept all those monsters
because there were on limits on size or bag; thus they declined at a rapid rate. As many have said, KUDO'S to Ty for releasing those big boys and girls to reproduce and make more quality fish! Great video; thanks!!!

The day started in the dark in his driveway and ended back there about noon. It was first ice, about 2”, and we each pulled out a sheet of plywood to stand on with holes that by eye and tape measure exceeded regulation, drilled and sawed out. Over 29’ of water, we pulled out 50 of the largest crappies I have ever seen, the biggest one was 22.5” long. He said you could only catch them in that spot under exactly those circumstances until noon the first day you had 2” of ice, then you were done until next year. Thank you for posting this content.

Through the ice on a total clear nite the Mature Seem to bite.(here)
Calico\Crappy are strange, people will not even know they exist in some lake\large ponds where I live, but for one spot in a cove they loiter.
...I seen them 17-19 through the ice,but people go up north to great lake and bring them as if caught in our states in their live well, trying to break state records.
I am in Penna..Right where a cove meets large open lake,as if a spring or break water they loiter in my fav lake..
Can go and get beauty's night after night, but that one clear star night the breeders bite...
They are so funny in that manner.(Here)..
I suspect the breeders live on Bluegill minnows all warm season, then in winter must catch a meal to get by..
Just guessing because there are ones you can fish for and know they are there, but they only feed at certain times unlike the average ones.
I take fillets in canned evaporated milk ,onion,potato,simmer..My favorite,..
Normally them breeders do not just bite but sporadically,in large bodies they MUST have better source to stay hidden.
Must be minnows if other species.,Hogs.

The fish shown on shore are similar in they are tight shots without real context. This could have been epic.

With "Catch and release" fisheries, you will get fish that big. C'mon, man! Nice wooden docks with fishing apertures constructed to drop your line down into a habitat specifically created to produce monster Crappie? (I mean) really? How much did you pay to get that footage bro, because "Crappie fishermen" find their own way, and enjoy when they get those "Natural Bigguns".
Great to see that they can get that big, but a scale would have been the ultimate test instead of camera perspectives of "Near and far" illusions.
