I don't think the mono-green stompy opponent was too happy about that board wipe in Match 3.
Out of curiosity, why do you make so many best-of-one videos and decks? Is it preference, or maybe a time issue / desire to not commit to longer Bo3 games for your content? I know I for one would be interested to see both sideboard construction and G2&3 decisions against various matchups, ranked or otherwise.
In any case, can't wait for your next draft!

18:00 wouldn’t targeting oath of kaya be better? He’d have to sacrifice his own doom fortold then would be in a worse position next time either of you plays doom

It might be good to replace massacre girl with dance of the manse. I think just splashing blue is enough because by the time you play dance, it is already late game and you will probably already have a blue source

I often see you scry before drawing, but as a general rule, isn't it usually better to draw before scrying? That way, you have more information to make a better scry decision? Of course, if you are desperate for a very specific card, then it makes sense to scry first.
It definitely depends on the situation. Generally speaking it's better to Draw and then Scry in the early game, as lands are still valuable draws. Later in the game it's almost always better to Scry first since lands are dead draws. Of course if you're desperate for a specific card you can also Scry first.

I just built almost exactly this deck and thought I was being super sneaky and bright. Not as heavy on the discard though. Just the two Davriel which was very good in the deck. It’s better than you prob think. I was absolutely impressed w the knights of dawn too. I only had one and ended up crafting a second for the deck the first or second time I turned one of my eggs into a golem and brought a doom foretold out of the graveyard when it got whacked.

Yes doom foretold punishes a lot cards like Nissa, they can't sac they own lands and they don't run enchantment destruction. The question is whatever you play blue for dance of the manse or you go all Orzhov

Doom foretold is like that revealed theros card, inevitable demise? Enchantment aura, creature's controller sacs creature at upkeep. Except you sac nothing, and gain nothing when it ends. Just IMO, lots of people say it's bad, it's not.
It's just a removal spell that gets a mana cost reduction by being easier to remove and giving your opponent a choice to delay it by sacrificing a worse creature instead. Not playable in constructed outside of maaaaybe Mayhem Devil decks.

Giant is more reliable as a sweeper, but Massacre Girl can have more upside as you get the creature right away.

Doom Foretold doesn't allow you to sac tokens.
I think most of your opponents quit just b/c you take too damn long to play.
I won't claim I'm the fastest player around, but what you see are edited videos where all the pauses from my opponents are edited out. So you might see a skewed reality. Also in my experience people concede early vs control decks.
I am all for deck variety but imo these decks are plain boring. And i would rather scoop than playing vs this

Man, there is no worse matchup in Standard from a viewer's perspective than a Doom Foretold mirror

This deck needs Kaya's Ghostform - specifically for the Cavalier of Dawn + Doom Foretold combo
You could have killed oath instead of doom, they would be forces to sacrifice it
Opinion on one or two dance of the manse? No blue needed with the 2 drop artifacts.
Could be ok, but most games are decided long before it would matter.
I use two in my deck. Even bringing 2 things can help a lot.

14:37 is it better to kill the druid here so to deny the fifth mana for Nissa? It's the only way you can possibly lose the game from that point I think
With a Rider in hand I would still rather make them commit more creatures.
So many surrenders recently. I wonder if people want to play, or just want to win. That's why I stopped playing SMITE; for me the former became the latter. I realized if I wasn't in it for the experience of playing, that there was no point. The irony is, when you play a competitive game to have fun, you will always do better than you would if you focus on winning too hard.
That's because this game is work, and shit work at that.

Great video, always love your stuff. As someone who plays way too much Doom foretold, have you considered prison realm? I use very liberally early game and if they try to not play things to let Doom foretold run out you can sac prison realm to return a creature back to them to force another sac cycle.
Good suggestion, could definitely see fitting it in over Massacre Girl or some number of Murderous Riders.
I use 1 prison realm in my esper deck and I have ti say that It works well as you think 🙂

At 17:52, when you used Cavalier of Dawn to destroy Doom Foretold, what made you choose to do that instead of destroying their Oath of Kaya, and letting their Doom Foretold sac itself? It would get both off the board, which is useful if they had another Doom Foretold in their hand (but less so if doing so would be enabling an X=6 Dance of the Manse for them)
Game 2 is the classic example of how being on the play is one of the most important things in Magic today
That game is a classic example of why everyone who treats this fucking addiction like something respectable or worthy of spending money and time on are wrong. Bring on Runeterra.
